80. Looming Lust Part 2

Spence's POV:

"Leave him here for sometime, we'll come back later." The boss grabbed the lackey's hand and dragged him outside the room.

I was left alone there, tied upside down like a piece of meat is hung for curing it. My limbs had become sore and the blood rushed downwards, causing pins and needles to rise in my fingertips. I was numb.

"Ah... I want water." My voice trailed off into a stream of tears, as I felt my throat become dry.

"I want to go home, I want to be with my mother." Were the slurred words that escaped my mouth in helplessness.

I tried to shrivel up, but failed at that too. My body was now lifeless.

"It's no use crying, no one will come to help me." I muttered these words as I harshly wiped my tears, which had gathered dust on my face.

"No matter what they do now, I will not fight back." I said softly under my breath.

The door opened slowly and I noticed a familiar figure standing at the entrance. It was Paul, the only person who had the slightest sliver of kindness remaining in him there.

"Are you fine, Spence?" His voice was deep but soft.

"No, I am not fine." I said as I felt a second wave of tears surge along.

He rushed towards me and patted my hair with his kind hands. It was perhaps the first time in so long that someone had shown love to the pathetic being I had become. He had brought with him a plate of food, something I had never seen since I left my home. It was a simple plate of lentils and rice but to me, that was the biggest blessing I had received.

"Brother, you are very good looking and kind." I finally muttered something positive.

He laughed nervously, "Thank you, and you are a very brave child." He said with a smile on his face.

He was indeed a beautiful human. His hair was dyed an icy blond and he had majestic black eyes. If he wasn't a lackey here, he could easily have been a person of authority.

"Then, when can I leave this place?" I asked to him.

He suddenly froze.

"That is something I cannot tell." I could feel his expressions change.

The door of the warehouses barged open and the boss entered again. He seemed noticeably annoyed, maybe because he didn't want anyone to show kindness to his plaything. After all, objects do not have feelings right?

"What are you doing here, Paul?" He asked.

Paul's voice trembled. "I came here... to give... him food." He stuttered.

"Ah yes... Humans need to be fed, so do cattles. Now get out of here before I fire you!" He yelled out so loud that I could feel the vibrations in the ropes.

Paul scrambled out of the room but the boss stayed.

Contrary to him, the boss had a weird outlook overall. His hair was shabby and the bangs were all over the place. Thankfully, it covered his dark brown eyes, without which he could have turned people to stone.

"What do you think you are?" He pulled me by my hair and questioned. "You have no rights to order my lackeys."

"Kindness is the master of its own carriage. You can't attach the horses of superiority to it and expect it to commute as you like."

Thirteen year old me had no idea where that courage or those words came from.

"You want to suffer, kiddo?" I could feel the fury rise.

For some reason, I wanted to see the volcano erupt. To do that, I simply had to do one thing, spit on his pathetic face.

Which I did.

"You want to die I see." He said as he ran around the room, eventually picking up a plank of wood kept in a corner.

As he walked towards me, I could see the anger dance about in his eyes. Almost non expressive but very deadly. He walked towards me and lifted the plank, aiming at my bare backside. He swung it back with force and landed it on my back, making my blood curdle. I could feel the blood flow in my veins stop and blisters arise, as a sharp pain rose.

"Leave me you barstard!" I yelled out loud.

"I hadn't given you so much care for nothing, now don't misbehave." He said with a deadpan expression. "And yeah, it must be about time."

Suddenly, I felt the inflow of liquid to my throat. I realized the fact that anything I eat, was eventually gonna come out as my digestive system wasn't in place.

"Blergh!" It was a quick move but it emptied my stomach. The only thing horrifying about the vomit down there was its color. It was a dark shade of blue.

"What in the world have you done to me?" I asked, panting heavily.

"Looks like the indigo has done its job." He muttered as he placed a finger under his chin. "Now you are clean on the inside."
