Ch. 35 - First Time Cultivating

"What should we do today, brother?"

"I do not know what you want to do, but I am probably just going to go through the rest of Jin Long's stuff. I went through it quickly before I left his mansion, but this time I am looking for anything that could be useful in The Azure Sea Division."

"What kind of thing would you consider useful then?"

"I do not know. I will just go through it and maybe I will find something interesting."

"You are… keeping something from me, right?"

"N-no, of course not!"

"You so are! Tell me! I am your sister, so you must be honest with me!"

"I-I… Can you just trust me? It is definitely something useful. I do not want to tell you yet, but just trust me."

"Fine. I'll trust you."

"Great!"

"But will it really take you all day just find one item?"

"No, but I will have to organize all of Jin Long's stuff inside the different storage rings, then I will have to organize the storage rings and then I will have to put them all into the storage bracelet. To ma--"

"--Make it more convenient. I know."

"You are welcome to help if you want to."

"No, thank you."

"Good! Then go and cultivate or something!"

"Okay! Just scream if there is anything!"

And so Tian Xin went back into the little world by using the golden bracelet which her dear brother had given her, leaving him alone in the kitchen.

Since Tian Xin had already left, Xiao Huoyan decided to begin organizing.

He sorted all the elixirs and pills together in a storage ring, all the artefacts in another one, all the money in another one, and so on.

It did not take too long since he could work like an octopus, using his Vines of Judgement.

His spirit essences which were all in the top fifty, were used for trivial things like this. If the Jin Clan, or anyone else for that matter would have seen this, they would probably fall backwards from the shock.

After a few hours he finally finished. Then he decided to prepare lunch and surprise his dear sister, Tian Xin.

He prepared lunch and packed it all into a basket. He wanted to surprise his sister.

When he finished packing he entered the other world which Tian Xin was currently cultivating in. It did not take him long to find her. She was sitting cross-legged on a light purple cloud in the sky, silently cultivating.

Xiao Huoyan just silently flew over to her while hiding his presence. He did not want to disturb her, so he decided to sit and wait on another cloud. He would wait until she decided to take a break.

He waited for almost three hours, yet she did not show any signs of taking a break soon.

Xiao Huoyan was very patient, so he did not really mind waiting for so long, but he felt it to be plain stupid of him to just wait there while doing nothing, so he took out two scrolls from his storage bracelet.

One was a written explanation of how to start meditating, while the other was a cultivation technique which Xiao Huoyan knew that Jin Long had practised in his early days. The Soaring Dragon Technique. He quickly memorised the contents of the scrolls, then he put it down and closed his eyes.

He slowed down his breathing and cleared his mind completely. At first, he felt as if he had fallen half asleep, but after a while he began to feel as if streams of energies were entering his body from all directions.

The scroll left to him by his Jin Long simply described them as 'The energies between heaven and earth'.

Depending on the spirit essence of the cultivator, the energies of a certain element would be easier to absorb than others.

Most people could only absorb the energies related to the element matching their own spirit essence, but some other people could absorb two different types of energies. Those were the people with dual essence. Some of the extremely gifted individuals with dual essence could even absorb three different types of energies, but Xiao Huoyan was different. He could take out a part of every spirit essence he had and place it as a sphere around him. A sphere that could merge the different types of energies into a completely new one which only he could absorb. It was many times more efficient than those who could absorb one to three different types.

Though he did not know it, he was more talented when it came to cultivation, than he could ever imagine. And together with his ability to merge energies of all the elements, his progressing speed was simply unparalleled!

If anyone ever saw the way he cultivated and how fast he progressed, their jaws would surely drop to the floor. The old experts at The Azure Dragon School would probably spoil him to death if they knew about his talent for cultivation.

Unfortunately, Xiao Huoyan did not want to go there to show off, but to help his dear sister, Tian Xin, on her way of cultivation.

He was willing to give up everything he had, including his life, for his dear sister to be able to live a happy life. She was the only family he had left. He was fully aware of the fact that his father might still be alive, but he did not see him as his father anymore. His so called father had left him and his mother alone in the woods. He never came back. Not even once!

Xiao Huoyan knew that he probably had his reasons as to why he had to leave, but that was not enough for him to simply forgive him.

He would just lay low until he became stronger than everyone else. Then he would make sure that everyone acknowledged his strength. He would spread his name all over the world if he had to, so that one day, this so called father of his, would come and find him.

He was not sure about what he should do, if his so called father ever came to see him, but he had already made the decision of never forgiving him.
