Return to civilization

Shiva looked at the village. It was afternoon and sun was shining above the village, a small river was flowing alongside the village. Houses were made by rocks even though they were not that large, it still gave the idea of prosperity of the Danteluri Dynasty. It was a just a peripheral village but still it could compare to the villages in the central area of sun Dynasty in terms of wealth.

Shiva walked towards the village. As he entered the village, its native started to notice him. Shiva looked like a begger and the villagers hadn't seen someone who looked so poor as there were no beggers in the whole Danteluri Dynasty. It was an achievement that solely belonged to the Danteluri Dynasty, even the high tier Dynasties could not achieve this.

"Who is this boy"

"Mom , Why do he look so dirty"

"He came from the forest"

"Maybe he is a native of forest people"

"I heard that forest people are very savage"

"Should we throw him out"

"But he is just a kid"

There were all kind of discussions going on. As Shiva's sensing power had increased, he could easily hear all their discussion.

He was going to talk to the villagers but after hearing them he stopped. He looked at his clothes and thought,"I really look crude and uncivilized now, maybe I should take a different approach otherwise there can be a big misunderstanding".

No one stopped and talked to him. He didn't stop inside the village either, as he went towards an old tree just outside the village and sat under it.

As he sat there he thought,"I was once a young Emperor but now who am I."

"Even the poorest of villager is richer than me."

He didn't notice the change when he was inside forest, there was no discrimination only the strength determined everything there but here strength was not everything, people could follow you out of fear but the real respect comes only when you are one of them humans are very complicated being so are there ways. You are just an outsider if you can't pave your way inside their hearts.

Villagers were also confused by the boy's actions. But they still told their kids to stay away from the stranger.

Shiva sat under the shade of tree as he closed his eyes. He felt like his comprehension was very weak in comparison to the theory about life. He started the comprehension of life. Every morning he would go to the river for bath and after that he would again sit under the tree for comprehension. Many fields were across the tree, so villagers daily saw the Shiva sitting underneath the tree silently. They could also feel that boy was not savage as they thought. He looked more and more pleasing to the eyes as the days passed. There was a faint aura of life surrounding him that calmed the mind of the person who came within 10m of him. Few farmers tired of the hard work sometimes came within his proximity as they had realised that they felt relaxed when they came near the boy. But Shiva didn't open his eyes. He was too immersed in the comprehension.

10 days had passed since he came here and his stock of food had already depleted. But he followed the same routine. Some farmers noticed that the boy didn't eat food after the bath but they put it behind their head. Next day, again the boy didn't eat anything. The boy also looked somewhat paler than before. Villagers started to worry. It was a taboo to die of hunger in Danteluri dynasty. They had so much wealth and their teaching about charity were too deep. Even though the villagers first thought that boy was savage their opinions had changed after observing the boy for last 11 days and they still had ethics they just couldn't let a boy die of hunger in front of their eyes. Shiva hadn't eaten anything for the past two days. He couldn't focus on the comprehension now. His body felt very weak and he couldn't concentrate, he could sense the life energy seeping out from his body but he didn't have any way to stop it. "The primal instinct in a human is hunger, it can force a person to change his nature, it can force a person to beg and to rob. Otherwise why would a person go for begging. Everyone has their pride. But hunger can break a person. Only after the hunger is satisfied other things comes like taste and other life enjoyments."

Shiva opened his eyes, his vision had become slightly blurry. He saw a group of people coming towards him. They put down a plate and simple clothes in front of him.

"You can come to the village afterward" an old man said and the group left.
