003: Training Begins!

When I finished the meal, a gas began leaking into the room, seeping through the walls. It was probably leaked from outside. 'Have I done the wrong choice?' Before I could regret anything, I felt my consciousness fading away as my body hit the ground.

When I woke up, there were two new objects in the room. A kid sized-sword, and a book. The sword was made of steel, and it was your avarage knight sword. I crouched as I picked up the sword. It was heavy. That much was logical. After all, even if I had cultivated a little bit, I still was quite limited due to the pain, and furthermore, it always had been useless. The cover of the book was gray, and there were three words. 'Sword Basic Manual'. I left the sword in the ground as I picked it up and began reading it. It had the basic stances and attacks for swords. "It can't hurt to try and learn it... at most I will be mediocre about it and that would be it. After reading for a while and memorizing its contents, I began practicing. "You are doing it wrong." A stern voice sounded. "Who is there!?" I said as I turned around, in panic. "Your wrist, kid." I lowered my gaze to my wrists. There were two bracelets (that I didn't remember putting on), one on each wrist. One was black, and the other was white. "We are here. We will help you... If you can keep up with our expectatives, of course." A second voice rang out. The two voices were slightly different. One sounded like a beast, or something, and sounded as if it was about to go on a rampage. The second one, although calmer, in no means sounded kind. "Who are you?" "Call me Shiro" sounded the calm one "Kuro" simply replied the savage one. "Could you help me correct my mistakes?" I asked with a sliver of hope, after all, having a teacher, or at least reference, would be truly helpful. "We will, as long as you don't fail our expectations. Let's begin.(Kuro)" And so, my torture began. "What are you doing, stupid!? I told you to stand straight!(Kuro)" "Correct your stance(Kuro)" "With that strength you won't be able to kill anything, not even an ant!(Kuro)" the storm of shouts and rage got louder, and let's be sincere, I was at the brink of crying. But I didn't. I kept practicing for a long time, as Kuro, corrected me. And so, when I was so out of breath, that my lungs felt like exploding, and I felt as if my heart would burst from how fast it beat, I lied down flat on the floor, as I desperately gasped for air. "We haven't finished.(Kuro)" "But I can't move any longer" It wasn't an exageration. I really couldn't move. "Then it's time for cultivation.(Shiro)" It felt as if something in my brain had made a 'click' as I remeremembered. 'How didn't I think about it sooner? There shouldn't be any longer anything that absorbs the energy I refine since it was theorically satiated back then!' I sat down, and began cultivating. Even if I had done it only a few times before, I still remembered how it had to be done.

As far as I remembered, there were 9 stages in cultivation:

1. Energy Origin

2. Thread Refinement

3. Foundation Establishment

4. Domain Formation

5.Soul Severing

6. Relique Creation

7. Physique Elevation

8. Avatar Generation

9. Immortal Ascension

But still, unfortunately, one couldn't cultivate from birth, or rather, it was highly unrecomended (there are nobles that try to guide the rebirth through cultivation, but that always erased possibilities, the good ones and the bad ones). All races, at 15 years go through a rebirth. That rebirth usually gives them new talents, as well as new incompetences. It is usually something that decides your fate. Sadly, right then I couldn't care to afford about it. I needed to be ready for whatever might happen. And so, My first not-painful cultivation session began. By the way, I wasn't even at Energy Origin, since all my energy disappeared when I finished cultivating.

After an hour

"*Yawn* That's enough isn't it? I feel way better! Are we going to train again?" "Why do you ask? That was the whole point of this session! Now pick up the sword and keep swinging!(Kuro)" And in this cycle of training and cultivating, five days passed.
