CHAPTER FORTY (40) Treat With Honor

Su Yuanqi had thought it was odd for her be there alone with only a female secretary to accompany her, and his intuition was confirmed when he saw three able bodied men move towards them from the end of the floor.

Their mean expressions, rigid face and fast pace caused Su Yuanqi to smile inwardly. So this is what he would have to deal with if he truly went with other's idea.

The air around them heated up as Xu Dandan joined the group of guards.

Rose gulped. What were they doing, standing there like that?

"Ma'am, we are ready to leave." Duyi informed her.

"Ye Zedong had called, he said your attention is needed at the company." Xu Dandan quickly explained knowing fully well, that they couldn't force her to sit up.

"Okay," Rose put down her water glass, stood up as Xu Dandan went forward to grab the file and her bag. "Oh, I forgot to introduce to y'all..." Rose started pointing at Su Yuanqi.

"Meet, Mr Su, our new business partner."

Xu Dandan bowed first then stuck out her hand. She also didn't miss the smile on her boss's face, it was unusual towards someone she had first fought with.

Su Yuanqi got to his feet and shook her hand. 'She seems to be on business mode, today.'

Compared to the first time they met, she was totally a different person.

Donghai, Mingyu and Duyi bowed, Su Yuanqi also bowed in return.

"Now that the introduction ceremony is over, my secretary would accompany you, to where your properties are kept, if you'd like to move them, we won't stop you."

Hearing my secretary, Xu Dandan plunged her body forward while looking at Rose, for at least an explanation. She doesn't even know anything about any property...

Rose ignored her, as she continued to speak. "Mingyu will drive you two, and please use them as much as you can, just like me, they are also your employees."

Faced with Xu Dandan's sad expression, the three men wanted to laugh but held back. They knew that one thing Dandan hated was being sent away from their boss. Sometimes she would act like the mother hen and sometimes she'd act like the chick. And rather than teasing her, they would hide their faces to laugh.

Rose collected her bag and file from Xu Dandan, winked at her and whispered. "Treat our guest with honor."

Xu Dandan stood their dejectedly, watching Rose, Duyi and Donghai departing figure.

"Why do you look like a rejected lamb?" Su Yuanqi's question didn't do justice to how Dandan was feeling so she turned to glare at him, but remembering Rose's last statement, she held back.

"Mr Su, if you're ready, we could leave."

"Sure," He flashed her a polite smile.

'What does he think of himself? To smile so casually to anyone? Cute? Or dumb?' She hissed inwardly. One thing was certain, she couldn't deny the fact that the man standing in front of her was handsome, much cooler and sophisticated than the one she had watched once on tv. However then, he seemed to be younger and naive. Winning numerous awards back then but he suddenly stopped going to cooking contests. He must have made a lot of money then.

The one currently in front of her, though, was... should she also add the word charming? Yes, he was all.

Xu Dandan thoughts spiraled until Mingyu interrupted.

"Which of the warehouse?"

Rummaging through her own files, Xu Dandan held out a paper then announced. "Warehouse B."

On getting to their location, Mingyu held the door open for Su Yuanqi, whom in return didn't seem to fancy it. "You don't have to,"

"Ms Chen, our Boss Rose, strictly gave the orders, we can't disobey her." Mingyu stated and bowed.

Inside, last thing Su Yuanqi expected was for the place to be clean and completely dirt free. At first he had imagined it to be one of her forgotten warehouses but after taking the first step in, he was mesmerized.

The long warehouse walls, had white tiles all over it including the floor he stepped on. It wasn't huge, but big enough to contain whatever she wanted to fit in.

Everything there was kitchen wares, all newly manufactured, he could tell that by how shiny they all were and the lingering metallic smell.

Su Yuanqi's legs seemed to have a mind of their own as they walked towards the fourth row, filled with admiration, his hands gently caressed the China wares. From antique to floral, then unto modern, ancient, dragon, silver trim, gold and so many more... The sight before him marvelled him.

"Wow!" He said to himself, picking up a dragon design to examine it.

Behind him was the two people that accompanied him.

Xu Dandan folded her hands on her chest as she watched him.

Mingyu whom had bent to pick a carton up, halted as he also watched the said new business partner.

It was as if they wanted to know his intentions.

Su Yuanqi had totally forgotten that he wasn't alone and was in his own world, admiring the China wares. They were two row facing each other, while the one he stood in front of had plates of all sizes, the opposite had mugs of both plain and intricate designs.

Now he was beginning to rethink, he really had no idea whom Rose was at first and based his judgment merely on his thoughts, but looking at this warehouse, the clean walls, the China wares, her business ideas, he realized she was actually brilliant and deserved to be idolized. She wasn't just beauty, but with brains... Is this the reason, Changsu is obsessed with praising her?

His mind wandered to what will happen if Changsu met her, and a slow smile crept up his face. Now he wanted to introduce those two and watch a drama. He at least has reasons to introduce them now, she was their co-owner.

Su Yuanqi was absolutely lost on his own.
