Perfect Mate
Why do people love gossips and fake news anyway? Can they just stop and mind their own business? They all act like Rei is a pest who people should stay away from. They aren't even perfect themselves! Their faces were still looking serious and pissed as they look around while Kyou just sat there. Yuu can't help but groan. After what Sen said, they were silent for a bit but the people gossiping around them just continued to keep going.
The four namely Yasuko, Yuu, Dai, and Sen glared at the girl who is seating at the table just beside them. She was smirking and whispering to the girl beside her like they are mocking them. Both the girls stopped when their eyes met with Yasuko and Yuu's glaring eyes and the two Alphas' serious faces, causing them to sit straight and return to their food. Yasuko sighed before turning her head to look at Rei, placing her hand on top of his.
"Don't mind them, Rei." Yasuko and Rei looked at the person who suddenly talked and saw Dai smiling at them. "As long as you have us around, they won't dare say anything to you."
Sen nodded, smiling and wrapping his arm around Dai and Yuu. "That's right, Rei! As long as we have Kyou, Dai, and Yuu around, everything will be fine!"
"How about you?" Yasuko asked, raising a brow at him.
Sen slyly smirked, winking at her. "I'm their moral support!"
Yasuko sat there looking so done with Sen while Sen's friends just shook their heads, smirking at what he said since they are used to their friend's personality. Rei also laughed softly, smiling at them. Maybe Yuu's friends are not so bad after all... He also smiled at Yasuko who still look worried before patting her hand to assure her that he is fine.
"Oh! I got an idea, Rei." Yuu clapped his hand as if he got an idea inside his head that caught Rei's attention. "How about we invite the three of them to our party this Saturday? You can also invite Yasuko and Shiori."
Kyou raised a brow at him. "Party?"
"It's uncle, Rei's father's, birthday this Saturday! That's the reason why I met with Rei. We are planning what we will do." Yuu explained to Kyou who just nodded, deep in thought.
If it is 'his' Dad's birthday... Of course, Rei will be there. But he didn't want to interact with him. Kyou mentally groaned but remain stoic on the outside, eyebrow twitching a little. He knew nobody would notice him since the others were actively talking and planning what they would bring to the party. And boy, was he wrong!
He didn't become unnoticed by Rei who just raised a brow at Kyou's expression. It was weird even for Rei to notice Kyou's pheromones becoming indescribable while the others didn't react to it. It was as if he was conflicted about something. He set his thoughts aside, slyly smirking before he starts whining at Yuu.
"I think 'Kyou' didn't want to come, Yuu. Is it because I..." Rei paused, giving emphasis on Kyou's name and casting a knowing glance at the black-haired guy who just glared at him. "will be there?"
Yuu sighed since he knew why Kyou won't come but still, he tried to act innocent as he questioned him. "You won't come?"
Kyou mentally groaned at how Yuu was looking at him and how Rei kept on smirking at him. Damn. He was trying to come up with a good reason! How could he say no when Yuu, who in his eyes was giving him puppy eyes, was waiting for him to reply?! He should say sorry to Yuu because of how much he wants to punch Rei in the face right now. And 'Kyou'?! Why is he calling him that when they are not even close?
He then sighed. "I'll come."
Meanwhile, Shiori was muttering curses as she keeps walking toward the comfort room. Her mother just called her and she rarely called. Is it because of an emergency? No. One of the characteristics she inherited from her Mom is her stubbornness. She won't back down without a fight! And why would she call her if she didn't want to continue what they were talking about earlier?
"What is it again, Mom?" she groaned the minute she pressed answer on her phone. "I told you earlier. I don't want to meet one of your friend's sons!"
"But she told me her son is studying medicine. I think the two of you will be a perfect match! He even had---" her mom squealed, excitedly while the latter just took her phone away from her ear.
She knew that tone! Whenever her mom is excited about something, she will keep on talking about it. Especially if it is about what she assumed a "perfect mate" for her which commonly involves the sons of her rich ass friends who Shiori didn't even know and didn't want to hear about. The moment she decided to return her phone to her ear, her mother was about to finish her rants.
"--so hurry home, okay? We will be waiting for you. Take care, Sweetie~"
"Hmm~" Shiori just hummed as an answer and wait for her mother to turn off the call before placing her phone in her bag but she stopped when she heard someone shout.
"Liar!"

'What---' she mentally gasped, immediately panicking as she started pacing left and right before finally turning around and running away. Crap. What is she thinking and listening to other's business? Did she saw her? She saw her, didn't she?! No. Impossible...
