Cat Out of the Bag
"So..."
Rei tilted his head up, looking at the person who spoke and seeing Shiori who's raising her brow at him with her arms crossed. "What are you doing?"
"What do you mean?" He shrugged, shaking his head and taking a sip from his cocktail.
Shiori gave him an 'I'm-so-done-with-you' look before looking at Yasuko who's comfortably sitting beside him with her legs crossed, head and foot moving with each beat of the music coming from the stage of the club they are in while drinking from her cup. She turns her attention to the people on the dance floor, casually grinding and feeling themselves up. Others are just having fun with their drinks in hand while they sway to the loud, upbeat music with the lights dancing around with them. The club's decor looks a bit tacky for her but at least, they are playing some good music.
She then looked at her friends, blinking. Well... She brought both of her friends to a party and for them to seat only by themselves, alone? She didn't know what to do with those two. She shook her head, sighing and stomping forward their shared sofa. She flopped herself down beside Yasuko, placing her cup on the table in front of them before leaning back on the backrest.
Her arms are still crossed as she pouts before giving them a side glare, mumbling. "Party poopers..."
"Come on, Shio. Stop sulking." Rei can't help himself but chuckle, clearly amused by his friend's reaction.
"Hey. I dragged you here to forget about that asshole but here you are, acting all 'Yako' on me!" Shiori groaned, pointing at the brown-haired girl beside her who's now sipping on her cup and side-glancing her.
She faked a cough, covering her mouth with a fist and leaning closer to place her cup on the table. "I'm a metaphor now?"
"Teehee." She cheekily smiled, tilting her head and acting cute in which made the Beta shake her head.
"I'm just wondering..." Rei uttered as he fidget on his fingers, making the two girls look at him. "Why aren't the two of you asking what happened?"
The two girls gave each other a knowing glance then back at their friend who's looking so uncomfortable in his seat. Shiori sat up properly, placing her forefinger and thumb underneath her chin while looking up as if she is thinking about it. But she isn't. Actually, they didn't have to ask him. It didn't change the fact that they see Haruo as an asshole from the start. After they saw what happened between them and Haruo 'knowingly' dumped him countless times? Yeah, knowingly. He's not that stupid to give mixed signals to someone. Especially, to Rei. He's a professor, for God's sake!
"Are you expecting us to nag at you?" Yasuko asked, raising a brow at him and he nodded as a reply.
Shiori rolled her eyes at him. "How could we? When you are looking like that?"
"Like what?" Rei asked, raising a brow. He knew he looks stupidly stressed since they were in school earlier but it's not because of that, right? He just didn't get enough sleep. That's all.
"Heartbroken, duh! And because of his ass?" The blonde-haired Omega scowled at him, face literally cringing. "You look like shit."
"So the least we could do is not talk about it even if we hate him for hurting you. After all..." Yasuko added, leaning forward to pick up her cup and glancing at Rei before smiling softly. "You 'were' happy with him, right?"
Rei nodded, leaning back in his seat as he sadly smile. "Yeah..."
"But honestly, we didn't stop hoping that one day you'll wake up and realize what kind of a bastard he is," Yasuko suddenly muttered to herself, shrugging before taking a sip.
"That's right. And if I didn't stop Yako from hurting him, he would have been in the hospital for days!" Shiori nodded, sitting right up and leaning closer to the two. "Remember the guy Yako threw at the last year's competition? He was bedridden for 2 weeks. 2 weeks!"
Yasuko coughs onto her cup when she is about to burst her drink because of what Shiori said, she wiped her mouth with the back of her hand before saying, "What are you talking about? It's not that serious. He was just treated because of his back pain."
"Yeah. But after he fought with you?" Shiori hugged both of her shoulders, acting like she just had some shivers. "Suspicious."

Shiori turned her head away, avoiding her brown-haired friend's stare, and starts whistling. "Did I? I think I forgot about it already."
The red-haired Omega just shook his head at his friends as they start bickering with each other. Shiori who's already pouting while Yasuko starts roasting her, casually taking a sip from her cup. Right then, he thought: It's nice to have someone who can accompany you when you are feeling sad. Especially, if you find someone who can make you forget all your worries when you are with them. Without the need to hide your feelings nor the need to fake yourself... He's really lucky.
He was having such a nice time that he did not notice when Shiori stood up from her seat and starts staring down at him. "Then what are you still doing here?"
"What?" Rei blinked, taking the last gulp from his cup.
"Seriously?" The blonde-haired girl scoffed, "Where is the bitch I knew from High school?"
"I'm done with my so-called 'hoe phase', you know." Rei blinked, solemnly staring back.
"So you will let that bastard dictate your actions when he doesn't care about you at all?" Shiori shook her head, grabbing onto his arm to pull him up. "Nuh-uh. Don't just focus on one guy and find someone who deserves you! That's the main reason why I brought you to a club."

Rei was cut off when Shiori successfully pulled him onto his feet. He starts to mentally panic. What the hell is she thinking? Does she realize what she's saying? She wants him to cheat on Haruo as well?! Wait. Can it be called 'Cheating' when they are not in a relationship in the first place? Shiori immediately moved behind him, placing both of her hands on his back and using all of her strength to push the red-haired Omega towards the dance floor. It is also not helping when Rei used his feet to stop him from moving forward.
"No buts! Get your ass on the dance floor and get yourself a guy!" Shiori scowled, groaning as she gave her final push which caused Rei to stumble forward.
"But Shi..." Rei loudly sighed before turning his head around, facing his other friend to complain but Yasuko immediately avoided his gaze. "Yako, you too?"
"Now, go!" Shiori cheekily grins, giving him a thumbs up while standing there and looking so proud of herself. "Make your Mama proud!"
Rei mentally groaned, tilting his head to the side as he turn back to the dance floor before mumbling. "Who's exactly my 'mama'?"
