RECRUITMENT

He stood there silently, his face was pale and his clothes were ragged and torn apart. He eyes were lifeless. He was very thin and looked almost starved. Most of the people avoided him thinking he is a beggar. Few gave him a gaze of pity and others with disdain. He has been standing there for a whole week. The guards at the gate laughed at him in the starting , then they felt determination in his eyes were resolute. He never moved from there not even once. He was standing there without food and water. Guards felt pity and provided him with little food they can spare. He took it silently.

Guard Jin "Boy, how long are you planning to stand here?"

Huang Tian " Tomorrow is annual recruitment."

Guard Jin got an idea what was going on now. They didn't realize he was actually waiting for the recruitment.

Guard Jin looked at the kid for few more moments and was confused on whether to laugh or cry. He is too young for military recruitment. The minimum age for recruitment is 14 years, others need to bring letter of permission from their parents and special recommendation for recruitment. The boy before him is nowhere near 18 he should be hardly 15 years old now and he wanted to join in military. Guard Jin didn't wanted to discourage him so he silently went back to his position.

Guard Jin "That brat want to join army." he said to one of his friends stationed there.

Guard Mo "Is he mad or something. He is not of age yet."

Guard Jin "Hmm. But he is quite determined."

Guard Mo "What can little determination do. He is weak and fragile. Do you know where he is from?"

Guard Jin "It took us more than five tries to get recruited here. We were lucky being able to join in our last try."

Huang Tian could hear everything they are speaking. But he was not bothered by it at all. It was his only chance for survival. A month ago he wouldn't have believed if some one told him that he would attempt to go through Military recruitment. But everything changed in a single night. He was not here for survival but for protection and safety. He need to be here for few years until he is strong enough.

'I am Huang Tian, the supreme god how can this little hindrance stop me. I will give fate worse than death to my every enemy.'

He was more determined he gained few memories from his previous lives. He is just an avatar of a supreme being, he is here with a mission and he will accomplish it. How can a mere Feng family stop him.

Time slowly passed and the day of recruitment is already here. Slowly people started gathering there, there were over ten thousand people gathered here for the recruitment. This is just a small area, similar recruitment were happening in more than ten thousand branches of the country.

Huang Tian silently stood there patiently. Soon the counters were opened for the recruitment. They will be taking down the details and sending people for the physical tests.

Huang Tian stood in a line and waited for his turn, many people looked at him awkwardly, he was looking like a beggar compared to others. His hair was messy, and he was so thin and looked like he didn't even have energy to walk. He knew everything happening around him. His soul is part of the supreme expert beyond this world, he could destroy this world just by raising his finger, how can his soul be weak. He only gained part of his memories few days back. They were just the memories he need for this period.

After waiting for over 5 incense sticks period of time it was Huang Tian's turn. He saw one of the guards as the in charge. Seeing Huang Tian guard didn't give much reaction. Even though he knew he was not of recruitment age, it was decided to allow him inside. Many from inside the post already knew about him standing there for a whole week for recruitment.

Guard "Name? Age? Place? Identity token?"Guard asked for details according to procedure.

Huang Tian "Huang Tian , 14 years , Qi City, Qi province." and then silently gave the guard his identity token. Hearing the name guard was stunned and so were the people near him.

Guard "Huang Tian are you from the Huang Family of Qi province." he asked almost loosing his composure.

Huang Tian nodded his head.

Guard looked at him for few moments and gave him an admission token for the test. Other guards also looked at the departing Huang Tian with a complicated gaze.

Huang Tian from Qi Province Qi City. That was his identity now.

Huang Tian soon entered the arena where test is taking place. There were three rounds of tests. One was for checking their strength other for speed and third for stamina. There are few who could take the fourth test which will give them special privileges and they will be trained as officers .

Huang Tian passed the admission token to the officer standing in the arena and then proceeded to take the test.

Officer "Give your strongest punch to the testing stone there. You have three turns to test."

Huang Tian nodded his head and then proceeded to punch the testing stone. Huang Tian have done it many times previously in his family. He already know about his limits.

"Boooom!"

White stone turned faintly to faint green. The stone with change its color based on the impact. From yellow, orange, green,blue, violet and black.

Yellow strength varies from 1-10 units

Orange strength varies from 10-100 units

green strength varies from 100-500 units

Blue strength varies from 500-2500 units

Violet strength varies from 2500 -10000 units

Black for strength above 10000

For this recruitment Orange color is minimum requirement for passing.

Officer was bit surprised seeing this. His strength has exceeded his expectations by large number.

He could guess that Huang Tian's strength was around 120-130 units. Even many adults may not be able to obtain such a good result.

The result was complete contrast to his appearance.

Huang Tian repeated it two more times and result was quite similar to previous one.

Officer then passed Huang Tian his admission token back after recording his results.

Then Huang Tian proceed to speed test and gave his token to the officer in charge.

Officer " Run around the track completely..."

Huang Tian didn't have any trouble completing the test. Then he proceeded to the Stamina test and where he has to carry a huge boulder from one end of pond to other end. The distance was over a mile and he has to move against the currents carrying 100 unit rock.

It was toughest trial. Huang Tian is already qualified based on his previous two results he could enter even without this trial but he wanted to finish all the trials.

"Huang Tian " an officer watching over the whole recruitment process said with a complicated tone.

"Do you know him previously?" an officer beside him asked observing the changes in his expression.
