Winter Break Part 10

His sisters wanted to chase after him, but Gwen stopped them as she spotted Ruby sneaking away and said, "Just give them some time."

Jaune entered the workshop which was a large wooden shack with large roller slide doors.

He opened it up to reveal a small forge powered by Fire Dust Generator, long work tables sat against the walls with several shelves and cabinets above them, cutting and metal crafting tools were set around the shop along with stacks of varying metals and partially completed weapons, and the whole room was well insulated with most of ventilation surrounding the forge.

Jaune ran his hands over the tools and thought back to the time when he used to sneak in here and play around.

He watched his family make their hunting tools and make their Hunter Weapons with jealousy burning in his gut.

He looked over to a set of armor pinned to a manikin. The top part was missing a chest piece and only had a thick leather vest in its place.

Long white grieves and gauntlets with gold trimmings were neatly placed around the manikin's arms, they were thin-looking and sectioned to allow maximum maneuverability. They only covered the front half of the manikin's upper arms and were full-on gloves below the elbows to the wrist.

The glove around the hand was very intricate, and the tips of the fingers were open so they wouldn't interfere with the wearer's grip.

It had a similar structure for the leggings and was also thin enough to appear slick rather than bulky. The thigh pieces were only armored by the front, while the boots covered all of Jaune's feet and legs until it stopped around the knee.

The tips of the boots were slightly pointed and layered with three pieces of metal, becoming thicker the further it reached up his leg.

Lastly was the helmet. It covered the whole head in a thin yet sporting design. The entire cover made it look like a mouthless and noseless human face, it had three small line-shaped ventilation marks around the mouth with air filters surrounding it. It had human eye-shaped sockets that had tempered polycarbonate lenses perfectly fitted in them, and a flexible interlinked leather armor flap that ran wrapped around his neck.

Jaune looked at the remaining pieces of armor on his body, then smiled and sat them on the ground next to the rest of the armor.

After shinning and polishing them with some items, he looked up at the leather armor that was worn underneath and said, "I guess it's time to put this on, it will be a while before I can ask Dr. Krick to make the Pale Rider Suit."

Jaune then pulled off his sweater.

He was wearing a thin muscle sweatshirt underneath because of the cold weather. It was black and had a small image of a Chibi Ruby on the upper right pectoral region. He had to get this custom made.

Unbeknownst to Jaune, while he was stripping, Ruby had poked her head around the corner.

She gasped as she saw the workshop. It had many top-rated tools and materials for weaponsmiting.

"I will live here from now on!" Ruby thought as she gushed over the tools.

She then noticed a bullet benching press. Stars were in her eyes when she saw custom dust rounds for several calibers lying on top of it and wondered what weapons that fired them looked like.

When her eyes drifted onto the stripping Jaune, her heart jumped out of her chest. She saw his back muscles through the thin workout shirt and watched as Jaune pulled took his pants off.

Now only in a pair of tightly fitting boxers, Crimson Reaper's heartbeat began to pick up pace while she felt her body getting hotter. Her face lit up red as she continued to peep on Jaune as he pulled down the thin Jumpsuit-like clothing and armor off of the manikin.

The navy blue tight long sleeve shirt and pants were actually a type of leather weaved together like fabric, and small ring links were sewn in between two thin pieces of leather. However, the whole outfit was as thin and smooth as denim.

It was the same for the pants, long blue material and tight around the ankles.

Next, he put the Jacket on that had thin intricate chain-link ring pauldrons that looked like they were part of the fabric rather than actual armor. They smoothly covered the top of his shoulders and were tilted to slightly run down the side of his arms.

The hood was blue leather with a gold and white trim. It leaned over the back of the sleeveless vest and stopped in the middle of his shoulders. The blue underline of the jumpsuit's long sleeves fitted tightly around Jaune's wrists nicely as he put his fingerless gloves back over them.

Attached to the hips of the thin blue leggings were long white flaps split with gold trimmings, each of the four pieces cloth dropped barely reached Jaune's calves.

The flaps were partitioned in four slits, two on his sides and one for the front and back. The flaps on the sides barely reached his knees while the two on the front and back reached his ankles.

(A/N: Image something of like the sleeves of the enhanced Cat Gear from Witcher 3 with the Superior Wolf Jacket that has a thin hoodie attached neck. Jaune's original gloves, same blue underclothing of the Cat Gear turned it into a more denim-look so the look wouldn't change too much from Jaune's blue his jeans. The flaps were my idea, just thought they would look cool, plus it can hide his footwork and is better for cold weather.)

After putting on the leather pants back, Jaune looked at himself in the mirror. It had been a long time since he wore this light armor set. He only wore it until the armor was reforged into the Pale Rider.

Jaune ran his hands across the cool metal and had never felt more comfortable than this exact moment.

Ever since he recovered the armor from the rubble of his ruined home, Jaune wore this armor religiously. it wasn't until he met with Dr. Krick that he upgraded it.

Overall, the light set of armor was to be worn under heavier pieces, resulting in a sort of half blend between light and heavy. It was the full set up for his ancestor's Half-Plate. He was told the Wargod himself wore this armor.

He held the metallic pieces in his hand and said, "It's been a while, Pale Moon."

Pale Moon was the traditional name of his family's armor, before Jaune had reforged it, of course.

Jaune putt the pieces of armor over the light set, one by one, the whole armor came into place, "Once I hand you over to Dr. Krick, Pale Rider will be your new name. I promise."

"Now that was a show!" I got to say meow likes. Yang shouted making Ruby and Jaune jump up.

Blake rolled her eyes and Weiss scoffed in disappointment at her teammate's lusty stares and bad cat pun.

"Y.ya.ya.ya.Yang! Blake! Weiss! How long have you guys been there?" Ruby said with an embarrassed and red face.

Jaune had everything but the helmet on. He looked over at Ruby who was stuttering and cutely pounding on her sister's arm.

Yang was grinning throughout the whole beating. She then looked up and down at Jaune before saying, "Say, did we ever have a thing in the future? Cause it's not fair for Ruby to skip over me if I got to go first."

Jaune blushed as Ruby turned to Jaune, "You didn't date Yang first? Did you?" Ruby's eyes leered into Jaune's as her face got closer and closer.

Blake smiled as she thought, "Wow! If it's true, isn't it kind of like the novels I read?"

Jaune grinned and said, "Ruby, Yang has always been nothing more to me than another older sister. Although, that isn't to say that she didn't stop herself from trying to hit on me when we went out drinking sometimes. Maybe you should talk to her about that."

Yang suddenly dropped her jaw in shock. Ruby turned back to her big sister and crossed her arms as she furrowed her brows.

The blond spitfire could almost see a backdrop of hellish flames behind her baby rose as Ruby slowly approached her.

Ruby grabbed onto her sister's arm and said, "Yang...we need to talk."

Jaune wanted to tell Ruby that Yang always followed up her flirtations with a bad pun and then a descriptive threat disguised within words that went a little something like, if he ever cheated on Ruby she would cut his balls off.

B-u-t! After thinking of all the times she pranked him, made fun of him, or embarrassed him, Jaune simply mouthed the sentence, "Promise to never call me Vomit Knight, boy, and or any other vomit joke-type name, and I'll save you."

Yang only feared two things, one was Ruby losing her innocence, and the other was when her little sister was seriously pissed-off.

"Fine!" Yang cried out.

Jaune grinned before saying, "Of course it was always a joke. She called it her, 'Will you cheat on my sister test' It always ended in her threatening to destroy my manhood if I dared follow through. Needless to say, it became something of a joke between us."

"See, Ruby, it was a joke, you know? Besides, Jaune, according to what I heard, cutting that thing might be impossible. So, what'cha packing? A long sword, broad, or greatsword?" Yang waved her hands around like she was wielding the swords.

Jaune's jaw dropped, "Did you just ask..."

Yang grinned as she quickly followed up, "Is your second sword as big as Nora said it was?"

The girls gasped.

"That's some kind of joke…right?" Weiss' nose bled a little.

Happy that she successfully changed the subject, Yang celebrated as Ruby and everyone's eyes drifted to Jaune's crotch.

Jaune covered it with his hand and used his other to point at his eyes as he said, "Hey, eyes up here!"

Weiss and Blake blushed and quickly scattered, leaving Ruby, Yang, and Jaune alone.

Jaune laughed and said, "Let's just act like Yang never said that!" all while thinking, "Damn Nora and her untimely bathroom visits! I know I locked the door, so how does she always get it!"

Jaune then held his hands out and said, "Well, how do I look?"

Yang nodded her head and said, "Looking Good, Vom...I mean Lady Killer!"

Ruby chuckled at seeing Yang keeping her word and backing down. It was a rare sight.

She then gave Jaune a once over and said, "You look..."

Ruby paused, her entire face turned red as she thought, "Like those knights in the legends!!! I landed my very own handsome hunk of a Knight Woohoo!!!"

Jaune moved closer to her and said, "Well?"

"Good..." Ruby replied as she turned her eyes away from him. It was taking all her will power not to jump up in cheer about how good her boyfriend looked. However, that would vain, and she wasn't used to this kind of affection yet.

Jaune smiled and said, "Just...good?"

Ruby looked up at Jaune and twirled her fingers as she mumbled, "Handsome…"

Jaune moved closer to her and stared into her silver eyes while Ruby gazed into his sapphire blue eyes. The two were sharing a moment when Yang got between them and said, "A-n-d that's enough!"

She separated them and held Ruby in a hug that covered most of her body, "She's still only sixteen right now, so no hanky panky."

The young couple stared at the big sister with speechless expressions. Both of them then turned bright red and shied away from each other.

"Yaaannng!" Ruby cried out as she pounded on her sister's arm.

"What, you two may be engaged, but, I still won't let Jaune touch you until your of proper age. If you do, I'll tell dad, and you know what he'll do when he gets ahold of Jaune," Yang replied with a serious expression.

Jaune shivered. As if suffering through Taiyang's torture when he found out about Ruby and his relationship the first time wasn't enough.

"No, what I'm trying to say is Jaune and I already talked about this!" Ruby shouted trying to hide her embarrassment.

Yang gave Jaune a stern look as her eyes turned red.

Jaune in his defense waved his hands and said, "Hey, it's a perfectly natural conversation to take place with your Girlfriend and future wife."

"You!" Yang's hair started to glow as the fiery Aura raged around her body.

"Yang stop!" Ruby yelled, "Jaune has been a perfect gentleman. He promised me that there wouldn't be any of that...that kind of thing until I was ready!"

"He told you about..the birds and the bees?" Yang gritted her teeth at the thought of her sister's lost innocence.

"Sex? No Yang, Jaune didn't need to tell me about that. I'm 16 Yang, not 10, I know what sex is. I figured out both yours and dad's stork story was B.S the moment I walked into sex-ed." Ruby's face continued to glow with a darker shade of red.

"Can we please just drop this?!" Jaune said with a face that was just as red.

Yang calmed down and shook her head, "Fine, but don't you dare make me an Aunt before I'm ready!"

When Yang shouted this, she noticed a hint of pain within Jaune's eyes, almost as if he remembered something that broke his heart.

While Ruby continued to embarrassingly pound into her sister's chest and was crying for her to stop.

The big sister paid no attention to her sister's fluffy punches and frowned. Knowing there was a story there, she wanted to ask what was up. However, just as she was about to speak, she heard Gwen's voice call out behind them, "Okay, that's enough teasing your sister."

Yang turned around to see Gwen with Nora and Ren, they were fully clothed and had their weapons with them.

"You guys look like you're going to war!" Yang shouted.

"We got a call about a Nethermore Grimm Nest nearby," Gwen mentioned.

"What are Nethermores?" Ruby asked.

Gwen patted Ruby's head as she said, "They're smaller versions of Nevermores, only around the size of a small car...and since your father's busy setting up their plans with the boys, I thought you could improve our weapons before we take off."

"Ohh! Can you Jaune? I know you made some headway in your training, right? If you could improve regular metals like steel and iron; we could make tons of weapons for hunters to kick some serious Grimm butt! Think of all the lives we could save if we had some super charged metals to work with!"

Ruby jumped around making excited gestures. She was throwing her hands up and swinging non-existent weapons in her hands.

Gwen saw Summer's image in her daughter. Ruby reminded her so much of her best friend and fellow leader, that it hurt Gwen more than any Grimm could.

She hugged Ruby and held her back against her breasts. Ruby was taken by surprise as Gwen held her like she was one of her own precious children.

"Um…what's happening?" Ruby looked to Jaune for answers.

"Motherly love at work, I believe," Jaune smiled fondly at the puzzled look Ruby had before it shifted to shy and embarrassment.

Gwen paid no mind and looked at Jaune before saying, "That's a very nice way to think Ruby. As your future mother-in-law, I can say I'm very proud of you."

Jaune looked at them and shook his head, "Improving ordinary steel is a bit harder than the more durable metals. I think that's why dad is teaching me to better control my Aura with twigs. If I can empower a piece of wood with my Semblance, then steel should be easy."

Jaune took a hard look at their weapons and frowned, he sighed then removed his heavy armor pieces into his inventory, put on a blacksmith's set, and moved over to the forge. Next, he picked up a hammer and turned on the heat.

The flames roared to life as Jaune picked up a thick piece of iron in the shape of an ingot. He placed it in the forge with some prongs and waited for it to heat up.

After a few minutes of heating, Jaune pulled out the molten ingot of steel and began to pound against its surface.

It took him 2 hours to outline the sword replacement for his mother. Jaune then quenched the bulky and ugly piece of metal in oil waited for it to cool down.

After removing the blade for the oil, Jaune moved it to the table and attached it to a vice grip, after straightening the blade, Jaune quenched it again.

While he worked, Jaune worked up a sweat and it slipped down his forehead and chest, wetting his shirt in the process. Ruby drooled over his appearance as he started to use the sharpening tools.

After shaving off all of the unwanted metal, Jaune held the blade up to his eye and saw that it was perfectly aligned.

"Phew, still got it," Jaune said as he swung the blade without a handle through the air.

"So hot!" Ruby thought as she watched Jaune made a few swings with the blade.

He held the sword out for her to inspect seconds before Ruby turned into a puff of rose petals. As she escaped from Gwen's grasp his mother pouted while Ruby reappeared next to Jaune.

The weapon's enthusiast squealed as she looked at the shiny new sword. "Those lines, that shine, those edges, now that's a sword!"

"Very good craftsmanship, son," Gwen praised as she looked over the work.

Jaune smiled and blushed. Truth be told, the only reason he could keep up with Ruby was because they spent 4 years together and three of those years they were married.

Their first date was about learning about his Atlas Tech and buying parts at a weapon store.

The blond knight then scratched his head as he thought, "Wait, was that a date? Hell, I'm gonna call it one."
