Chapter 9

It's Wednesday and Emily is home after school with her dwarf hamster, Sebastian.

"Hey Seb. Wanna hear a song?" Emily says.

Sebastian squeaks a small 'yes'.

'Even if we don't see

the light of day again.

Swish, Swing, Swirl.

Let's do it.

We'll go up

to our destinies~'

"Did you like that Seb?"

Sebastian gives another squeak of approval. Emily smiles. Then she glances to the phone next to her.

She gulps.

Picking the phone up, she slowly goes on Toonbi and decides to write back to Isaac.

Isaac: 'Hello Emily. How have you been doing?'

Emily: 'I'm okay Isaac.'

Isaac: 'That's good...I've missed you and Elliott a lot.'

Few tears appear in Emily's lonely and hopeful eyes.

Emily: 'We've missed you too...'

Isaac: 'So, how has school been?'

Emily: 'Oh it's been OK for the meanwhile. What about you?'

Isaac: 'TBH I'm having a great time.'

Emily smiles sadly but she should be happy. That's what Isaac would have wanted.
