Chapter 17

Isaac and Emily are at school and they can feel the deep and dark atmosphere the school is emitting right now and it's even more in the cafeteria.

Isaac and Emily gulp simultaneously.

They walk around the cafeteria and look at everyone. Nobody looks happy. Their smiles a few days ago have turned into clown frowns.

They keep on walking until they see someone familiar.

"Perry?" Emily says.

Perry sniffs and glances up to Emily and Isaac.

"Are you ok?" Emily asks.

Perry looks down. She nods slowly.

Emily sighs sadly. 'She must be so lonely...' Emily thinks.

Isaac suddenly taps Emily's shoulder. He whispers something in her ear. Emily nods.

"Hey Perry...I have an idea...would you like to have a sleepover at my place?" Emily smiles.

Perry looks up hopefully. She smiles shakily.

"Yes."
