Mar 31 : House

Dear Diary,

Do you remember how bare our house is? I told you that we don't even have a plate here, didn't I?

Well, now, our house has been redecorated. With flowers. A bunch of flowers.

I also said that Anna has been coming to our house, right? And that she also brings flowers here to work with, remember?

So you know who the culprit is.

That's right. ANNA.

At first, she only brought one basket of flowers. The next day, she brought one basket too. But two days later, she brought one cart here! And she didn't bring the unfinished product back home. Rather, she left them here and brought another cart again the next day!

Then the flowers cumulated here and in the end, almost half of our space is being used to store those flowers!

There is not only one type of flowers, there are many types of flowers. Roses, daisies, daffodils, tulips, carnations, lilies, orchids, to name a few of them. There are other types of flowers that I don't know the name. One type of flower even has more than one type of color.

Our house looks more like a flower warehouse.

It isn't a bad thing, I guess. At least, they make this house livelier than usual.

But It's not a good thing for Joe. The first day Anna brought flowers here, Joe started sneezing as soon as he stepped inside the house.

And he couldn't stop.

He needs to wear a mouth mask to stop the sneeze. And even after that, he still stay as far away as he can from those flowers.

Later I found out that he has pollen allergies. Sister almost cried when she knows that the flowers were the source of his misery and was going to move those flowers out from the house. But Joe assured her that he is alright as long as he wears a mouth mask and stays farther from the flowers.

Seems like someone else have a soft spot for my sister.

Anyway, let's talk about my work.

I said I'd report to the office, right? Well, I did. And good thing I did so because my boss was gonna find someone else to fill in my slot if I asked for more sick leave. They can't just wait for me to come. But since I can't do my job yet, which is delivering mails, I'm now tasked with administration job. So my primary job now is stamping the mails and do some documenting or recording or whatever the boss throw to my desk. Still the same pay and the same time, just different positions.

The previous admin switched with me, so now he is the one doing delivery. Only for a short while, though. As soon as my ankle fully healed, I'm going to switch back to my previous position. I wonder if he feels annoyed with the switch.

Another surprise.

I think I can say I'm lucky enough to get Joe as my friend. I just found out from my boss that those two weeks when I was on sick leave, he did my share of work too. So he alone is doing two persons' workload.

And I never heard him say anything about that at home. Nor did I ever see him feel angry or annoyed.

Really, he deserved the title of "best friend" from me. When I'm fully healed later, maybe I can ask him to take a day off or two. He needs a proper rest too.
