May 19 : End

Dear Diary,

It really ends! It really ends! The war finally ends!

The enemy has surrendered, and the peace treaty has been signed. Now we only need to treat the rest of the injured soldiers. And calculated the casualties that we got in this five years war.

Most of the soldiers have packed up and ready to go back to the military base. The front line soldiers also have returned. The injured ones have already been transported to the military hospital for more treatment.

Although the peace treaty has been signed, the government still deployed soldiers to the garrison for standing on guard. Just in case, they said.

This will be the start of rebuilding the country after this man-made catastrophe.

So many towns need to rebuild, so many homeless people need to be looked after. The four of us supposed to be one of those people, but the government was kind enough to give us some kind of honor for our help in the base. They said since we helped with the medical team, we are given the chance to study in the military school as well as a house to live. And that they would also give us a house allowance.

And because of the fact that I and sis are the children of a fallen soldier, we were given more benefits, such as paying for our expense and will give us some allowance for personal expense. If in the case that we don't want to study at the military school, we are given a choice to choose another school based on our interest and they will give us a subsidy.

I don't really want to become a soldier, so I'll choose other schools and I also don't agree with letting sis going to military school. I don't want her joining the army and meet this dangerous scene ever again. I don't know about Joe and Anna, but they said they'd stick with us, so we'll still be together after this.

But all of those talks can be set aside. I just want to finally sleep in peace for once. And if possible, on a nice mattress instead of a sleeping bag.

I'm just so exhausted.
