The rocket strikes again
For the next two days, we trained non-stop. I continuously taught Blue battle tactics and ways to take care of her Pokemon.
In the meantime, we also went further into the mountain and encountered more Pokemon species. The ones that I caught were Graveler and Onix.
They joined the likes of Geodude and Zubat that I caught on the first day.
Exeggcute had been the biggest winner of this training period... Thankfully, it had overcome its fear and started gaining some confidence.
Especially when it had either me or Charmeleon nearby. The latter was now like a big brother in its eyes.
Asking the System to Scan my Pokemon, I checked their data.

It's good that I trained so hard. Exeggcute was Ready to Tank Misty. If he couldn't, Charmeleon would finish her off with Dragon Rage.
A flawless plan.
With 'Reflect' in my arsenal, Which halves all physical damage done to my pokemon in a battle, Exeggcute will practically nullify Misty's 'Swift', forcing her to use water-type moves against Exeggcute, who's resistant to them.
As I was thinking to myself, Blue came over.
"Shawn... When are we doing what you promised? I can't take it anymore..."
With a pleading expression, Blue got close and grabbed my arm. The 'soft' feeling struck me once again.
This girl has been getting too clingy these past few days... I didn't know what to do with her...
"Alright, I guess you earned it. We trained hard these past two days."
With a smile, I packed our belongings and headed towards the exit of Mt.Moon.
"Yay! We're finally leaving this cursed cave! Let's go, Tinie!" With a smile, she picked up Dratini and followed me.
As we walked towards the exit, my mini-map detected four people nearby. Raising my guard, I stopped walking and raised my hand towards blue.
"What-"
"Shush... There are people ahead."
Blue was shocked and subconsciously gripped Dratini. The poor thing almost fainted.
"Do you think they might be hostile?"
Looking scared, she turned towards me.
These people were located in an area to the West of the exit. Memorizing our current position, I evaluated the situation.
"Let's go... It won't hurt to have a look. They might just be travelers, like us."
After a little walking, we reached a secluded area in the cave.
I retrieved Charmeleon to not draw attention due to its flame and ordered everyone else to stay silent until I gave the signal to leave or intrude.
Picking up the audio thanks to the System, I watched silently as two men wearing fully black suits seemed to argue with another two people. One of them was... Red?
The other men looked like Rocket grunts.
"Hehehe... Mind your business kid, we just want both of this nerd's fossils!"
That voice... Could it be?
"Never! You filthy villains from Team Rocket shouldn't be causing trouble like this!"
"Hey, now that I think about it... Aren't you one of the kids that got a Pokedex? Hand it over and I promise we'll let this man go, hehe."

Back in our hiding spot, my brain stopped functioning properly for a second there. They were the grunts from back then, no doubt. Had they escaped Pewter's prison?
Taking out a Pokeball each, they released both a Sandslash and Arbok respectively. Seeing this, Red also sent out both his Ivysaur and Pikachu.
"Blue, we're going to help out the guy in red clothing. Remember what I taught you, okay?"
"S-sure!"
Taking out Charmander and Exeggcute, I rushed by Red's side along with Blue. With the addition of Dratini, it was now a five versus two.
"Shawn!"
Seeing me, Red looked extremely surprised.
"Hey, Red. Need some help?"
"Sure! Euhh, who is that?"
Red looked towards Blue with doubt in his eyes. Smiling, she waved at him.
"I'm Blue, nice to meet you!"
Hearing this, Red put on a skeptical expression and whispered into my ear.
"Who is she, like, for real?"
It seemed like he finally started being a little more distrusting of others. Way to go, Red.
"You have nothing to worry about, she's tagging along with me for our trip through Mt.Moon, you can trust her."
"Oh, okay. Nice to meet you, I'm Red."
"Are you ignoring us!?"
Suddenly, a shout came from the Grunt's side. One of them was the one who threatened to destroy my Pokedex back in Pewter.
"Kid, we finally meet again. I've been waiting for this moment, and I didn't expect it to come so soon! Nidoking, rip him to shreds!"
Saying this, he took out another Pokeball and sent out a strong-looking Nidoking. Unfazed, I checked its data with the Pokedex.
Thankfully, it was only level 25. A prematurely evolved one didn't pose as much of a threat. Smiling, I spoke up.
"Long time no see... Could you explain why you're here and not in prison?"
"I have no obligation to speak. Repent! Nidoking, use poison sting!"
The Nidoking's roar shook the cave, and it propelled itself towards Exeggcute.
"Red! Blue! You guys take care of the Sandslash and Arbok while I get rid of the big guy right here. Exeggcute, Reflect! Now!"
Focusing, Exeggcute formed a barrier in front of itself, right before getting hit by Nidoking's glowing horn. With a bang, it flew away and I caught it in my arms.
Thankfully it wasn't poisoned...Even so, It's Hp lowered to a half.
"Can you continue?"
"Cute! Exeggcute!"
Seeing this determined expression, I smiled and threw him back on the field.
With a shout, I commanded Exeggcute to use Giga-Drain. Unable to dodge, Nidoking was hit by it and fell over, it's Hp dangerously close to zero. On the other hand, Exeggcute's health rose right back to max.
"You really are strong..."
Seeing this, the grunt smirked and turned around, picking up the scientist. He then took out a knife and placed it on the latter's throat.
"Don't make me do this... Now, allow Nidoking to destroy you or this man will die..."
"Dammit!"
