Date With Haru 2

"Hey, Haru-kun, my dad just throw us some problems, so I'm currently engaged to Itsuki-kun, I'm sorry about that..." Himeko explained about her circumstances to Haru.

"Oh, I've heard that from Itsuki. No need to worry about me, I'm fine with that." Haru said.

"... Odd. You weren't like this before. You said you'll protect me from every other guy." Himeko said.

"Well... If it's Itsuki, I don't mind..." Haru looked away.

"Hey! It's your girlfriend we're talking about, could you be more protective than that?" Himeko said.

"...!" Haru remembered how he used to treat Himeko in the past.

"We're only separated for two months, why are you so different now?" Himeko asked.

"..." Haru remained silent.

"Well, come on, boys and girls, we need to move now." Itsuki interrupted.

"I see, where are we going next?" Haru asked.

"The cinemas." Itsuki said.

"Oh? Is there a new movie?" Himeko asked.

"I've bought some tickets. If we lure them in there, we can waste their time searching in every theatre. They've probably surrounded the shopping district by now. So we're going to make our escape right after we entered the theatre." Itsuki explained.

"Wow! Isn't that going to waste the ticket though?" Ayumi asked.

"... If you want, you can watch the movie while we escape." Itsuki said.

"Aww... Guess we better make today's date a success..." Ayumi said.

"Thanks." Itsuki said.

"Let's move now. They will eventually find us here." Itsuki said. As they moved out, one of the bodyguards spotted them.

"Over here! They are right there!" The bodyguard shouted at his walkie talkie.

"Right, this is what we need. Let's split up. Himeko with Haru, then Keita with Ayumi." Itsuki said as he asked the others to scatter.

"Understood!" The others complied and they scattered.

"Darn it...! I need more backup!" The exhausted bodyguard shouted at his walkie talkie.

"Chief, what should we do now? We have sent a lot of people in there and ended up finding nothing. Those kids sure can run..." A bodyguard said to their chief, Yamamoto.

"Haah... I just happened to take a short break, and now I'm in this..." Yamamoto threw his smoke into a bin, puts on his coat and began walking into the shopping district.

"C-chief! Where are you going?!" The bodyguard asked.

"There is a score to settle with Kiryu, I'll be back before evening." Yamamoto said as he walked into the crowd.

"Itsuki, are you sure they will make their way to the cinemas?" Keita asked.

"Well, I just received a message from my dad... Yamamoto-san is joining in the hunt... Things are going bad." Itsuki said.

"Yamamoto-san?" Ayumi asked.

"He was my father's assistant back when he was a detective. My father's way of working had inspired him to actually become a detective himself. Since my father stopped becoming a detective, he seemed to dislike my father for his decision. He later joined Himeko's father's security firm, which is the company where these bodyguards come from. Guess what? If we made it out safely, they might lose their jobs hahaha..." Itsuki explained.

"What a long story..." Ayumi said.

"Either way, I figured that he will hunt us down. I just have to figure out how to win this game of tag." Itsuki said.

"Well, we'll try our best to cooperate." Keita said.

"I see. Now, both of you turn back." Itsuki said.

"... I see. Let's go, Ayumi." Keita said.

"Alright, be safe, Itsuki-kun." Ayumi said.

"Yeah, you too." Itsuki continued running.

"Kei-kun, do you know how to fight? In case you got in a pickle." Ayumi asked.

"Kei-kun? Well, I trained judo back then. I think I won't have the chance to use them." Keita said.

"Oh, I'm sorry!" Ayumi noticed that she called him Kei-kun.

"It's my name anyways." Keita brushed it off.

"So... Is it fine if I call you Kei-kun...?" Ayumi asked.

"It's fine." Keita said.

"I don't think it is a good idea... It's so embarrassing..." Ayumi said.

"... Yeah, it feels the same for me too." Keita said. A few men approached Keita and Ayumi and asked them some questions.

"Excuse me, have you seen two people like this together?" A bodyguard asked.

"No. I don't think so." Ayumi said.

"Wait a minute, I think I saw them went that way." Keita said, while pointing in another direction.

"Oh, I see. Thank you for your cooperation." The men ran off.

"Misdirection huh? That is so cool!" Ayumi is in awe.

"That ought to buy them some time. Let's head to the cinemas. If we're lucky, we could take a look at the movie showing right now." Keita points at the ticket's showing time and his smartphone.

"Oh! It's totally showing right now! Let's go!" Ayumi drags Keita off to the cinemas.

"Whew... We're here finally!" Himeko said excitedly as she and Haru made it to the cinemas.

"... Himeko, I have something to tell you." Haru said.

"What is it...?" Himeko asked.

"It's about our..." Haru was interrupted by Itsuki.

"Oh, you guys are here. Let's head in." Itsuki said.

"Itsuki, are you doing this on purpose?" Haru asked.

"I have no idea of what you are talking about... Or is that so?" Itsuki smirked.

"... What are you planning exactly...?" Haru suspected something.

"Hey, what are you two arguing for?" Himeko asked curiously.

"Well, we're just coming up plans on how to make you two enjoying this date way more." Itsuki smiled.

"Woah! Thank you, Itsuki-kun!" Himeko is very happy.

"Well, let's get in before anyone sees us shall we?" Itsuki presented his ticket and entered the theatres.

"... Itsuki... I know what you were thinking. You wanted me to stay as long as possible with Himeko, but then the one who is going to hurt way more is going to be her... Why not finish this earlier...?" Haru thought. However, no matter how hard he thought, there is no answer to that question.
