FLASHBACK - The truth untold (1)

Only two more hours were left for the second last day to start. Kate was already feeling anxious. She needed some solid proof. Even though she had almost everything, it was related to Ashton's underground activities. She didn't want to use it, at least not now. She wanted to find out more about what exactly was happening and who this Mr. Rodrigues was and what relation did he and Ashton have, or what did he want from her. There were a lot of unanswered questions.

Kate was still reading Susie's diary, though this time she was almost skipping the daily dairy entries. She didn't have enough time. She had finished almost three-fourth of the diary. She realized that Susie had become suspicious of Ashton. She had started following him though upfront she used to treat him as a person who was very close to her heart. The more she followed him, the more she was getting suspicious. She had seen him and heard him making calls secretly a lot of times. This was the time when Ashton first met Kate. Susie was not happy about it since she wasn't sure whether Ashton would harm Kate in some way. So she disapproved of them being together and used to ask whether she had feelings for him. But to her relief, Kate had always denied it and had never shown interest in Ashton.

According to another one of her diary entries, Susie suddenly saw a change in Ashton. He started going to the church daily and after that started paying visit to the orphanages in his area. Susie was surprised but she couldn't ask him about it, since she was following him. One day he went to a grave and sat there for more than 2 hours, probably speaking to the person in the grave. Susie heard him say that he was sorry of doing all the cruel activities he did in the past and he had finally changed for good, and won't ever stray from his path. He truly regretted it. Susie was moved and felt a bit sad for him. She didn't know whose grave it was but later she realized it was his mother's. She immediately felt guilty for judging his character. But she still followed him around for a few days. When she finally realized that Ashton had changed, she stopped prying into his matters and stopped following him. She started mending her bond with him, without him realizing. She always carried that guilt with her though. After this most of the entries were about how she had spent her day with either Kate or Ashton. By this time she had accepted Ashton and Kate being friends since in her opinion Ashton had changed and was a good man.
