I have more problems and events in life than difficulties for authors. So, sometimes I don't know what to write here.
A co-author told me to write something fictionary, like dramatize what happened in Discord. I thought of doing that today but I can't even remember the drama, so I have to skip it. I also don't want my friends to think that I'm using them for my entries here.
Anyway, I want to write something about errors, habitual mistakes, and others that readers caught in our books. Some are even unusual ones. These might sound funny but a bit disturbing to us authors. With no further ado, let's start rolling.
1.) I got this reader's review in my IGMB book.
-Although I have not read too much, lemme summarize the first 9 chapters...
Ending of each chapter: "Little did she know"
Please have better cliff hangers as I read on.-
Haha, I didn't realize it until this person pointed it to me. I laughed and felt frustrated at the same time when I read it. Don't think of looking for those errors now, I've changed it right after he told me.
2.) This one I found in another story but I won't tell on what book.
-He often puts too many thoughts into one sentence, and it can get exhausting to read. In addition, he uses the same physical descriptions too often. For example, whether it's "knitting eyebrows", "cocking eyebrows", "raising eyebrows", "lowering eyebrows", or "quirking eyebrows", the character's eyebrows are in a constant state of flux. In fact, the word "eyebrow" comes up 435 times in 40 chapters.-
Readers, please be forgiving to us newbie authors.
3.) I saw this one as a meme but it's hilarious.
-I'm sure a spy is near. She wears shades, black. She wears that usual color, black. Her clothes, black. Why writers always describe a spy or villain as if these characters love black colors?-
A color problem when describing. I'll take note of this and make sure my villain and spies wear bright colors.
4.) I got this one from the forums.
— The fact that ONLY the protagonists can coome up with new ideas and methods. Everyone else just follows their predecessors and assume they were right as the methods are time-tested. This is the biggest reason for protagonists in cultivation novels to go from weaklings to OP...and its just lazy.-
What can a newbie or even veteran authors do? But follow the style or topic of famous books.
5.) Can you consider this as a review or hiring advertisement?

6.) Grammar errors are common reviews.
- Dear author. I hope you'll read this. I'm a bit confused with the word you use sometimes. Is it CHANGE or CHANCE? Aside from this, i love the story and the development. The characters as well. -
Most authors here really need editors. 😅
7.) I don't know what to say with these reviews. I'm speechless.

If you are going to read this, do not waste your stones. Web novel wants your money. This novel is already available for free on websites if you search for it.

10.) I wonder, why books with Original mark on it are mistaken as Translated?

Why am I posting these here? Because these reviews and comments are part of the spices of the authors' lives.
Honestly, I love to read reviews from my readers and to get an honest review makes me happy. But I also feel bad when I receive negative ones, mostly only criticism with nothing helpful to improve my story or writing skills. Somehow, this is part of life.
Come to think of it, famous authors received the worst, and they just shrugged it off.
Anyway, as long as people read our stories then our hard work is worth it.
