The Book of History

Standing in the middle of my dad's Secret Room still made me in disbelief...

It was never in my wildest dreams that dad had these big secrets from me, probably to us, my little brothers, who're seven years old—no wonder this room was tightly secured and been watched 24/7.

Dad was actually from another world, no, he is from another galaxy, and no one is certain of how far his planet be...

No wonder my family has been sponsoring anything sort of expedition and studies about the universe.

At first, I thought that being 18 was the beginning of my natural journey. I never imagined that there was a greater; no, it is an adventure that awaits me.

Dad said that the necklace he inherited from her grandma was the key to a book he created. I have to put it on for me to be able to read the book.

I climb the stairs I found in this room. I saw a book floating in the middle of a circle that had five symbols around it. Dad taught me these symbols.

Hiryū

Suzaku

Seiryuu

Genbu

Byakko

I stepped inside the circle, and to my surprise, when I placed the twin dragon pendant on the book cover, I was like entering a portal of a world unknown to me... but it was the writing on the book that was filling my head.

I didn't know, I was now floating, and lights were surrounding me.

*****

"3 200 years ago, before the First Great War."

Far, in a vast land where hidden by mountains.

Where the East is a deserted land and from the West is a Mountainous Range.

South down the ocean was a thousand miles away from a prosperous city, the Water Kingdom, and the Northern City of Hemora; it is also a vibrant city from mining and great lands for Agriculture.

Somehow, life is still not fair. Slaves are finding ways to be set free until a few numbers of slaves become a massive flock of people who want to find a place where equality pertains. They began a journey to see good things in a foreign land.

Days, nights, rain, stormy nights, or under the heat, they never give up. They settled for a few days that become a couple of weeks or months, but they are still not content with what they've found. They keep looking for the best land to settle permanently.

Moreover, the path is not safe, and it is treacherous; only a few have survived.

One night, a Goddess decided to visit her land, and she witnessed the hardships of flawed mortals. She was bored, and so, she went down to the ground.

"Good day, your journey must be very long," She greeted the Western deserters.

"Oh, lady. Have you traveled this land alone? Somewhat dangerous young lady" asked the elder who stands as the chief of the caravan.

"Did you find something good? Can you help us by giving a little information about a great land?" An older woman asks her.

"Yes, of course. There is a great land," she pointed to the plain ground of this vast desert. "just continue to take this path you are taking," she answered with a warm smile on her beautiful face.

The caravan gasps in hope.

"And oh, I have more than food with me. I've passed by the caravan of the merchants going to Water City, and they generously gave me all of this food. I cannot finish them as I am alone and am afraid they'll rot along my journey," the Goddess shows the baskets of food behind her cart.

The poor mortals rush to her cart. They jumped in happiness, seeing a lot of food enough for the banquet tonight.

"Why not join me for a big supper tonight?" her invitation.

The flock finds a safer place to camp for the night. They began cooking, and men started tasting the sweet wine.

The children play, and the elders laugh. Young men slaughtered the chickens, and they began roasting them. The women and young girls are helping to peel the carrots and potatoes, making a big pot of stew.

The goddess attends the sick, and gives a tonic then advises how much volume of the liquid they must take every day.

She called a few young adults and gave them herbs. She teaches them how to make some tonic for common illnesses like flu from the weather.

When everything was done and settled, a few older men started playing their harmonica. A young man and his father play the guitars, and others bring out their bongos. The women began stomping their feet and started singing the hymn of their tongues.

The young fellows, including the children, join the circle and dance. Laughs, music, food, and wine, along with dancing, ended merrily till dawn.

The goddess collects the happiness from the flock and leaves.

The following day, they cannot find her and wonder. Nothing they know that the beautiful woman who helps them is a goddess.

They prayed and raised their heads to thank God for sending them an angel. No one knows, but the Goddess heard their praises. She looked over her shoulder and smiled, then continued her journey to the North road.

There is a group of slaves who escape from Hemora City she wants to meet.

The goddess gathered the clouds and let a heavy rain pour into the ground, enough for them to have the water they needed. The deserter lay a large basin to collect a massive volume of water they could use for laundry while taking a bath in the heavy rain.

As the goddess leaves her cart, the flock takes the cart and the rest of the food left behind. A considerable amusement left them, for they remembered that they cooked almost half of the food the woman offered, but her cart was still full of food.

Gratefully, they continue their journey and follow what the woman tells them.

"Follow the morning star from heaven. There, a land where the five walls are standing high looking down a mirror."

They remembered what she told them: green land where five walls stand tall and its peek looking down into a mirror. They don't understand, but they won't forget what she has said.
