The Final Battle III

In the blink of an eye, over ten minutes had passed. The Super Soldier and the Enigmatic Photon Dragon had both unleashed the full blast of their attacks. A huge explosion had occurred, almost bursting everyone's eardrums.

Fortunately, Ye Qin and Wang Tao had strengthened the barrier and successfully protected everyone from the attack. As for the outcome of the battle, one would have to go back a few minutes in time.

To put it simply, after the collision of both attacks, the Super Soldier's energy turned from purple to white, then pink. Its energy had become stronger slightly while the energy changed color. In the end, this wasn't enough for it to win.

That was the outcome of the battle. The large sphere from the photon dragon had completely suppressed the soldier's laser beam. This meant that Yang Chen had lost, and now only two people remained.

That was Ye Qin, and War God academy's captain. Even though he had lost the battle, Yang Chen didn't seem upset. In fact, he seemed happy, while his hair and eyes returned to normal. Standing back, he enabled Ye Qin to finally have his turn.

On his side of the field, Ye Qin spoke; "Let's wait a bit for both of us to recover, you expended a lot of energy in that attack, it took some effort to protect everyone."

On the other side, 'she' didn't reply. Instead, she simply nodded in agreement to his suggestion. As for the crowd, they had long become speechless. Words didn't come out of their mouths for a long time now.

Watching the battle, they couldn't believe that others the same age, or even younger than them could display such battle power. Many of them questioned their entire lives during the battle up until this point. It wasn't even the final act yet either.

After ten minutes, the judge called for the match to resume. Once he did so, he quickly got away and hid amongst the crowd, less he was injured from the battle. Ye Qin looked forward.

A hand was placed on his shoulder; "Have fun, the spotlight is all yours." a voice told him. Turning around briefly, Ye Qin replied; "This would've been yours if you didn't withdraw, your strength isn't any less than mine if I don't use 'that' ability."

"No, no, 'that' is still a part of your strength, you can't just go and omit it like that. If you win, hopefully, my sister-in-law's family will change their mind." Wang Tao added as he stood back along with the rest of the team.

Ye Qin nodded in silence. He too had some thoughts about that topic. Of course, he never shared it with anyone, not even Wang Tao. But since the two were closer than even blood siblings, the latter could make his own guesses.

This battle was not only for the academy but also for himself. With this battle, he hoped to prove something. Whether he wins or loses, he would still be happy with the outcome.

Ye Qin looked forward and glanced at 'her' for a few moments. She noticed his gaze and looked back at him for a few seconds before looking away. Ye Qin's Qiulong had recovered some of its energy during the short resting time. It came down from the clouds, like a dragon descending down into the mortal world.

Its huge body moved around in the sky, while a majestic and holy aura was emitted naturally from it. The Enigmatic Photon Dragon had returned to its original form. Its body was no longer illusionary, while the large shadow had disappeared along with it.

Its wings folded as it landed while facing the opponent that was no less than it in battle prowess. Of course, their strengths were different, with one focusing on speed, while the other on strength.

'Her' eyes suddenly flashed with a strange light for a fraction of a second. Ye Qin with his sharp eyesight had noticed it. "It's coming." he thought during this moment.

Next to the Enigmatic Photon Dragon, a white magic circle suddenly appeared in the space. Seeing this, many teachers, students, and even the principal of the War God academy was shocked.

Even though she had been enrolled and had long gotten a special enrollment into the academy, he had learned of this just today. "No wonder, she is extremely special even within her family. No wonder they treat her so different from the rest of the younger generation. Just her first dragon already put her high up on the pedestal, with another one, I can't even begin to imagine her prestige." he thought.

"Old man, you never mentioned anything about this! A dragon user with dual monsters. It's a dragon as well!" one of the principals questioned.

"I didn't know either, okay?! I'm seeing this for the first time as well!" he shouted back. Of course, while he shouted back in fury, his mouth was curved up the entire time, seemingly about to burst at any time.

Back down the stage, a majestic and ethereal aura was sensed by all. Even a hundred kilometers away, the special aura was still able to be sensed. This showed just how majestic this second dragon was.

While it was also a powerful being from the dragon race, it didn't release a suppression upon those who encountered it. Instead, it gave off an ethereal feeling that couldn't be described with mere words.

It was a strange feeling, like a man or woman who has fallen in love for the first time in their lives. Of course, this was just an example and not how it actually felt.

From the white magic circle, a soft dragon's cry was heard. Similar to the Enigmatic Photon Dragon, this dragon was small in size, even smaller than the photon dragon. However, one could tell that it was a little bit more powerful instead of being weaker.

Its appearance was almost identical to the photon dragon, the only major difference was that it was completely white from head to tail. Its pupils were sky blue, which matched well with its clear white scales.

Not only was it of the Legendary grade, but it also had the King element and was able to evolve; further making it all the more powerful.

The two dragons stood side-by-side on the stage, creating a truly mystical image for all. Today, everyone would be able to see three dragons on a single stage, battling for supremacy.

An extremely handsome young man smiled. In the face of an adversary, he only smiled. While everyone thought that he had gone crazy, a baffling sight filled their eyes.

Whoosh!

In front of the young man, a silver magic circle appeared. The devastating song of a dragon's roar that was no less than the Qiulong resounded in the ears of all. Another powerful aura of suppression proceeded to crush those that were weak. They felt sick and lightheaded just by being there.

"Old man, you didn't tell us about this!"

"Shut it will ya? I only learned about this recently. Since your side can have two, why can't mine? Now it's just a battle to determine which side is stronger. I myself have no idea who will win at this point."

"Hahaha, who cares?! All that I know is that we have many bright kids this generation. With them here, humanity will be able to rise again, maybe it's possible to surpass even "that' era."

"That era? It's possible, we must support them as much as we can. A new storm is approaching the kids soon, within a matter of a couple of years. They must unite and get through it together."

Back to the stage, a silver koi fish jumped out from a silver magic circle. It danced in the sky elegantly, as its body started shining brightly. Its small body started to expand in size, becoming twenty meters in length.

Wings could be seen on its back, while its silver scales became larger in proportion with its growth. The silver koi fish had leaped and transformed into a Yinglong in a matter of moments.

It grew to a size that was no less than the Qiulong. The twin dragons slivered in the sky above and lowered their huge heads to look down on its opponent. From a battle of supremacy of three dragons, it had now become four in a two on two battle.

Both sides released their true strength and were about to battle for the number one title. A little bit back, behind Ye Qin, a young woman spoke to Wang Tao; "You guys never told us Ye Qin had a second monster as well. Another dragon nonetheless! It was already surprising enough when the other team revealed hers, and now your best buddy did the same. Was it nice, keeping it a secret?" Jia Yazhu asked.

"Eh?! Don't bring me into this, I'm innocent! We didn't keep it a secret, you didn't ask!" Wang Tao replied.

"Hmph, then tell me. Will your best buddy win, or the other team?"

"Hehe, that's for you to find out." Wang Tao ended the conversation there. Since there was enough dialog already for a few chapters, he decided that it was best not to have anymore. After all, this was a novel about monsters, talking was just taking up lines.

Of course, the real reason was that he didn't want to experience a headache from explaining to Jia Yazhu. But she would never know this…

With both sides ready, the battle would begin. The judge had long called for the battle to begin, but both sides are only starting now.

With his opponent being a much higher level, with a superior grade as well, he didn't know how much of a leap his advantage would help. After all, 'her' dragons also had the same advantage as he did, albeit a little lower since they were born with higher grades.

In case you forgot, monsters born with lower grades would become stronger than those born with higher grades if they were to reach the same grade. This advantage was especially so, for certain kinds of powerful monsters.

Even though he may not win now without his ability, in the future, he knew that he would win once they were of the same grade. After all, his dragons were only of the Uncommon grade and already boasted such power, while 'hers' only boasted such strength from being born with such talent.

Now enough reminding, let the battle begin. The Enigmatic Photon Dragon flapped its wings and turned into a dark shadow in the blink of an eye. Its speed was incredibly fast, going at top speed right from the start.

As if appeared in front of the Qiulong, terrifying spatial energy was released. A huge twenty-meter silver dragon appeared in the location of the Qiulong, while the latter had swapped places.

Since the Mystic Holy Dragon was more powerful, it was best for the Qiulong with a stronger indirect power to compete.

Roar! Roar!

The battle between Ye Qin's Yinglong and the Enigmatic Photon Dragon took place immediately. Both dragons moved at great speeds and were equal. Despite being large, the former had a terrible spatial ability, in which a part of its power allowed it to teleport anywhere it wanted.

The Qiulong faced the Mystic Holy Dragon fired a breath of dragon's flames towards it. The holy dragon flapped its wings, as it took flight and breathed dragon flames as well.

The two flames were, of course, filled with the energies of their respective elements rather than an actual fire. The two dragons flew in the air, as they continuously spewed flames from their mouths without an end, continuing up in the clouds above.

The monitors were changed to be able to slow everything down by over two hundred and fifty-six times. It now enabled the crowd to watch everything clearly, while drones were sent into the sky to witness the airborne battle.

At two places, two different battlefields were taking place at once on a single stage. A battle of speed, and a battle of elemental power. The cameras tried their best to display both battles that were taking place at the same time.
