Alcides

"Well said, Egun. Once again, I can confirm that accepting the offer from the previous Lucifer was not a bad decision."

A male voice was heard in the room.

"Who is it?"

Everyone went on alert. Was there anyone else in the room? Since when? How much had he heard?

Only Egun remained calm as he looked into a corner of the room that was dark.

"At last, you show yourself, Flavio."

A 1.7m boy stepped out of the shadows. Spectacles, blond hair, and green eyes; he was Flavio Freccia, one of Egun's two friends. He nodded to Egun and looked at Luna, who was watching with vigilance.

"Yes, Ryujin-denka. With me here, no one can stop you from leaving."

Flavius said confidently. Compared to the pervert he usually is, his current behavior is much more serious.

"Who are you? Transcending Golden Dawn's territories without permission has its consequences, you know? But we can let you out if you leave Ryujin Egun to us, and you ignore the matter."

Luna warned him. But an experienced person like Egun noticed a detail. Luna was putting up a strong front, but she didn't really want to fight Flavius.

"My name is Alcides, and I'm the person the Ryujin family has hired to take care of Ryujin-denka's security."

Luna's face became unsightly.

"Now, let me return your words. Breaking the pact has its consequences, but I can let you go if you forget about Ryujin Egun."

Flavius spoke calmly. His serious face showed no sign of hesitation. A line of blood fell from Luna's lip as she bit her lips. She seemed to be struggling to make a decision.

"It's impossible. I need that boy, he is vital to my plans, to achieve my goal. I can't let him go so easily."

That was Luna's decision.

"Then, I have no choice. Solar Arc!"

Egun saw him again. He saw again the aura surrounding a person, this time around Flavio. The colors green and black intertwined in complete harmony. Unlike Luna's, which remained calm, and that of Zelig, which looked like a beast which had lost control, Flavio's aura looked like a hunter whose arrow had found his prey. Traces of the aura formed in front of Flavius and pointed to Luna.

There was something else in Flavio's aura, and that was the amount of aura around him. If Luna's aura was the biggest Egun had ever seen, that was in the past. The amount of aura surrounding Flavius was monstrous. It was so thick that Egun could easily mistake it for something that exists in the real world.

Golden light gathered in Flavio's hands. The shape of an object began to form into a golden arch. The arch had a different appearance from the typical arch. The ends of the arc formed ninety degrees and had a special kind of mooring where Flavio was holding it. The arch was colorful, being diamond in most of it, except for the ends that were silver.

The bow did not have a natural rope, but Egun could see a green rope forming. Flavio grabbed it and pulled it. The bow had no arrow, but Egun saw a black arrow form again. Flavio's aura became more intense as he prepared to shoot.

"Mitum!"

Luna shouted. Egun felt something strange, similar to when he called Laevateinn in the past. He was surprised when he saw Sakura-chan glow in a fire color before turning into a double-edged war axe. The axe, which seemed to be quite heavy, was grabbed by Luna with one hand.

"Oh, so Inanna's divine axe. To think you've got yourself a divine weapon of such a level, only inferior to the Dark Killers. But... that's not enough."

Egun was lost. Had Sakura-chan just been transformed into an axe? Was she a weapon, like Laevateinn?

Luna frowned. She prepared for battle with Flavius. He could fire at any moment, and he could fire at anyone.

At the next moment, just with Luna thought Flavio was going to shoot, he lowered his bow, and it disappeared. Surprised momentarily, she soon reacted and jumped towards Flavius with superhuman speed.

To Egun's surprise, he could see her. The problem was that even if he made a move, he would be slower than her. The difference of attributes was the cause of this. Although Egun's agility was very high, the difference in strength between him and Luna was too high.

"Dark Chains"

Luna, who was barely a meter from cutting Flavio, was bound by black chains that appeared out of nowhere. No, they didn't come out of anywhere. Egun saw seven black magical circles from which the eight chains came out.

"S-Seven chains, only someone at the level of Adeptus Exemptus could do that..."

Egun heard Kaori-senpai murmur.

"Let us go, Egun-denka. They will no longer bother you."

Egun nodded to Flavius and followed him to the exit.

"Wait!"

Egun looked at Luna, who was tied up in the middle of the room. She was struggling to escape but was unable to do anything.

"What do you want?"

Knowing that with Flavio, there was no danger, Egun took his time.

"We haven't said anything about your job yet. Don't you want to know?"

Luna asked, a strange gleam in his eyes. Egun did not answer and just looked at her waiting for her to continue. As he expected, she continued to speak.

"Your job is garbage among the garbage. You're a soldier! That barely improves your attributes of physical strength and physical defense by less than 5% of your points. That's nothing! But it's okay, at Golden Dawn we can help you change your job. Just follow me, and I'll give you a chance to get a better job."

Egun looked at Flavio, waiting for him to say something.

"The soldier's job indeed is the worst of all, but it's also the one that gives the most options when it comes to evolving. I don't doubt that Golden Dawn can force a change of job, but I don't know if that's what's best for you, Egun-denka."

"I see. Let's go."

Egun followed Flavio again, but this time he stopped of his own free will. He turned to look at Maki.

"Your favorite pizza was the barbecue, or was that also a lie?"

Maki didn't dare look at Egun. He sighed and left the room.

"Master, who is this boy?"

"A friend."

Flavio and Egun arrived at Egun's house after leaving school. There was the crimson-haired beauty, Laevateinn, waiting for his arrival. Egun pointed to a sofa inside the living room.

"Have a seat."

"Thank you, Egun-denka."

"Stop calling me that. I feel uncomfortable."

"Okay, I'll call you Egun-sama."

"Just call me as usual."

Flavio nodded with a smile and sat down on the sofa. Egun went to the kitchen and took two glasses of water, gave one to Flavio, and sat in front of him. Laevateinn followed him and sat next to him. Flavio looked at Laevateinn, and his smile became bright.

"So, you've woken up."

Laevateinn looked at him. She looked confused.

"Tell me who you are, Flavio. You said earlier that the Ryujin family had hired you to protect me, is that true?"

"Partly yes, partly no."

"Explain yourself."

"I volunteered."

Egun frowned. Was there a difference between volunteering and being hired by the Ryujin family?

"Let me explain myself better. I'm a demon like you, but I am not a pure-blooded demon. I used to be a human until a demon gave me his blood and accepted me into his household. This demon was none other than your father, Lucifer. That his only son lived with his powers sealed and watched over for life is something unacceptable, do you understand what I mean?"

"Your objective was no different from that of Luna. In the end, you wanted to awaken my demonic nature."

"Yes."

"So, what's your goal?"

"My goal... Personally, I don't have any of that. As a member of the Lucifer family, my desire is to restore the family. A prince has already been erased and replaced, and it won't be long before it happens to Prince Lucifer Household."

"I would have to claim my place as head of the Lucifer family, wouldn't I? Then would that of the princes have to enter the war?"

"It is inevitable that you will enter the war of succession to the throne if you claim your place as Lucifer. But, the present you is nothing compared to the rest of the infernal prince."

"How strong are they? How do I compare myself to them?"

"You are nothing compared to them. Even the weakest is stronger than Luna Crowley, and you are similar to an ant to them. But you are a Lucifer. It will only be a matter of time before you reach them."

Flavio didn't seem to be joking. He had complete confidence in Egun's talent.

"You overestimate me. I'm just an ordinary human. How could I reach them?"

Flavio shook his head.

"I am not the one who overestimates you, but you are the one who is underestimating yourself. You are barely seventeen years old, and you have already surpassed the limits of the human without coming into contact with magic. Even Luna Crowley's talent isn't that high."

"You keep comparing me to Luna, is she that famous?"

Flavio nodded sternly.

"When she said she was the number one genius, she wasn't bragging at all. She reached the rank of Adeptus Major at the age of 18, and she is capable of using four elements and has immense talent in each of them. Although it is unknown exactly what her power is, she might be able to face an equal to equal with the weakest princes without using their Dark Killer."

"Dark Killer? I remember you mentioned it before too. What's that?"

Flavio looked at Laevateinn, who was sitting on the sofa in silence, listening to the conversation between Egun and Flavio.
