Hogwarts Express

He then silently muttered, "Reparo". At first, there wasn't any major movement, only some slight shaking from the boxes and paper, but then, slowly but surely, all of the pieces began to fall back to their original places. Philip stood back so as to avoid the floating glass crystals which were forming back into shards, then into solid chunks of glass once more.

Harry felt this was quite familiar, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it. Mr. Ollivander just looked on with a shocked expression, never would he have thought a boy that just got his wand would be capable of performing a mending charm that required an unusually high amount of magical power to uphold through the mending process. But, when he had thought of how all the previous wands had reacted to Philips touch, especially the one that resonated with him, he began to find it much more acceptable.

After fixing up the Ollivanders wand shop, both Harry and Philip paid their respects to Mr.Ollivander and promptly made their way out. They met back up with Fleamont and Euphemia who had already gotten the rest of the equipment and then made their way back over to Madame Malkin's to receive their finished robes, they then decided to go get some Ice cream from Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour before calling it a day and heading back home.

Over the next month, Philip had been training quite a bit with his wand as had Harry. Philip had read before that underage wizards were supposedly not allowed to use magic due to the possibility of hurting someone, or to be more precise, to hurt a muggle in their practices which could lead to conflict between the two communities if not properly sorted.

Luckily, though, they had Fleamont and Euphemia to mask for them, by now, people in the Ministry of Magic already knew that the two were infact still alive and well due to the previous letters Fleamont had sent out, and thus, passed it off under the 'assumptions' that it was them rather than Harry and Philip.

Philip had gotten better with his magical power control whilst Harry focused a lot more on getting the basic knowledge behind spells down. Like so, the month had passed by rather quickly with not much else changing.

[1st September 1991]

The house was rather bustling today, with the House-elves moving around quickly getting things tidied up whilst Fleamont and Euphemia were calling for Harry and Philip who were both quickly changing their clothes and grabbing their suitcases which contained all of the necessary material, equipment and clothing for their first year at Hogwarts.

It was truly an exciting time for the two boys, after all, this was their first time going to any school and it just so happened to be a wizardry one too. Once they were both ready, they heaved the suitcases along with them down the stairs, both dressed in some formal, neat and clean robes to at least make a good appearance at the Hogwarts Express since they didn't know what to expect.

Fleamont and Euphemia giggled at how the two boys dressed, naturally, Fen was also waiting for Philip and jumped straight into his hands like usual when he saw him and just sat their nice and cozy.

They had already decided long ago that Fen would go to Hogwarts with Philip as his pet since others weren't too keen on him.

All in all, there wasn't too much physically on the both of them, due to their suitcases having another size enchantment on it making it slightly bigger like the pouch Philip had received before. They all then huddled up, with the two suitcases in tow whilst Fleamont apparated them away.

By now, they felt a little better when apparating, but it was still a god awful experience. They looked at the scenery change around them and noticed they appeared to be just outside of train station, they all walked out of the corner in which they apparated to and saw that they was already quite close to where they had to be.

Soon, they started making their ways over to Platform 9¾ with Fleamont leading the way. Harry and Philip looked at the two tickets in their hands and wondered why people weren't able to see when wizards or witches made their way through a wall that was literally right in front of them.. but passed it off as something to learn for another time.

Soon thereafter, the 4 of them had made it to Platform 9 whilst Fleamont and Euphemia looked at the wall before turning to Philip and Harry, "that there is the wall we have to pass through in order to make it to Hogwarts Express, are you both ready?" they asked.

Both Harry and Philip nodded their heads whilst Harry looked a little nervous and Philip had a small grin on his face which didn't go unnoticed by Fleamont and Euphemia. Harry had a bad feeling about this but accepted it as it was currently the only way to get to Hogwarts Express.

First, Fleamont and Euphemia made their ways through the wall and just vanished from the train station where they were standing. Harry looked towards Philip who was still slightly grinning and gulped once.

"Go ahead brother, we need to hurry" Philip said as his grin turned into a gentle smile.

Seeing that Harry wasn't making any movement and just looking at Philip nervously, he placed Fen in his robes before promptly grabbing the suitcase in one hand and grabbing Harry's hand in the other before swiftly running straight at the wall with the fastest speed he could muster.

By the time Harry knew it, they were already through the wall.. although his eyes were closed and he still looked slightly nervous, he looked up only to see Philip smiling at him. Soon after, they took a turn around one corner and what greeted their eyes was the Hogwarts Express train in all its glory.

It appeared to be an older model but still looked very smart. They made their way over to Harry and Fleamont before looking at the time, they only had around 10 minutes until the train would actually leave, so they said their farewells to Fleamont and Euphemia quickly.

"Harry, you mustn't get in trouble too often, and make sure to study properly too... most of all though, look after yourself and make sure to get on the Quidditch team one way or another!" Euphemia said in a small motherly tone, she maybe a grandparent to them, but was still the closest thing the both of them had in the real world to a mother now.

"And you, Philip, make sure you look after your brother... although i'm sure you would've anyway. Keep up the good work with the studying and make sure not to get into too much trouble.. and don't go breaking any girls hearts!" Euphemia said once more a little more sternly towards the end.

Philip coughed irritably whilst Harry just giggled, they all had a group hug before Harry and Philip took their suitcases and made their way onto the train.

First off, I didn't want to post this here as it kind of breaks the immersion, but it's too long to put as an Author's thoughts... sorry! (It's quite IMPORTANT too)

Hi guys, so if you haven't already noticed from this chapter... Harry doesn't meet the Weasley family at the entrance to Platform 9 like in the original. That's because it was my original intention to completely remove Ron from the story or perhaps even take out the entire family. Since I think it's quite an important choice, I will give you readers a chance to influence the story line, please vote here: https://www.strawpoll.me/17956248

This shall be applicable for 36 hours from when this is posted. My main reasoning behind wanting to remove Ron at least is because I quite simply don't like his personality, character and general build up. Like I said though, I will at least give you, the readers a choice to see if you agree with me, or think differently!

One last thing would be that, IF Ron does get removed from the story as originally intended, there Will be another character that takes his place, and I'm more rearing towards the choice of having it being a female character. I feel like there wasn't actually a stable ratio between female and male leads in this and thus I wanted to make it a little more even.
