Amaris spent her time in her room. Resting when she rather be exploring the area. Seeing what she could before getting behind another castle's wall. Luan could tell that Amaris didn't like being confined to her rooms.
"Amaris," Luan growled into her ear. His body hovering over hers. Amans shifted slowly before opening her eyes looking to see what weighed her down. Her breath caught in her throat at the sight of Luan. His long silver hair was like a curtain of silk draping over her body but that seemed to distract her from the partially naked man on top of her.
"Luan?" she questioned. Placing her hand on his chest to push him up so she could sit up only to come into contact with bare flesh. Heat rushed to her face. Her heartbeat became rapid. Breathing unevenly.
"I just want a taste," Luan whispered against Amaris' neck. His lips hovered against the pulse on her neck.
"T-Taste? "she stuttered. Not knowing what he meant. His hands traveled under her nightshift. Heat trailing his touch. His hands stopped just below her breast.
"W-wait..." She began to say but was stopped when his lips met hers. A muffled moan escaped her as his fingers grazed her breast. Giving him the chance to taste her further with his tongue. Exploring her mouth. Desperate.

Amaris laid naked upon Luan. Legs intertwined. Her fingers ran circles upon his bare chest. She felt more peaceful than when the trip first started. Luan, on the other hand, had wanted more. He had gotten the briefest of taste from her delectable body and was already addicted.
"Luan-" Amaris groaned. His attention immediately snapped towards her. He hadn't realized that his hand had been on her breast. Pulling away and mentally cursing himself during the process.
"I'm sorry. I didn't realize I was doing that. I don't know what's gotten into me," he apologized but he knew exactly what had gotten into him. Rhys. The fact he had kissed Amaris in front of him. The fact that he had touched her. That's when he couldn't think clearly.
"I don't regret what happened between us Luan if you don't. I thank you for not pushing my boundaries when I said I couldn't go further..." she trailed off. She had seen the look in his eyes earlier but couldn't quite place it. So she had assumed that he may have regretted what had transpired between them but wanted to reassure him not to.
The way Luan kissed her was completely different from how Rhys had kissed her. Rhys was brief but Luan's was filled with raw passion. She wanted to know what could cause a difference but she stayed quiet as she lay against Luan. Not wanting this moment to end yet.

Amaris's recovery was a swift one. Much quicker than anyone had expected. Many had noticed a change in her as well. She was more confident. The pup she kept around her had grown more quickly than a normal wolf pup. Some of Rhys's knights bowed in respect to Amaris. The atmosphere around her was that of a Queen. Someone to be feared. Someone had tried to assassinate her while she was 'weak.' Only to be torn apart by her pet. One had run away in fear for their life. Hiding. Blending in with the others among the Speirs people.
"Luan, find him," Amaris had ordered. Her tone was as cold as ice. And just like that, Amaris had taken control of the situation. Rhys could only stand there in disbelief. This was not the timid girl he had met in the Timpeall Kingdom.
Luan was on the prowl. Searching for the man who tried to take away what was his. Layla went to Amaris's side and leaned in towards her. "I'm not saying that I don't approve of your methods but maybe you should let my son handle the situation."
Amaris couldn't help but laugh. Sending chills down everyone's spines. "If your son, my husband-to-be, had better control of his people then I wouldn't be doing this," she stated bitterly. Soon after a scream was heard. The scream continued as the crowd parted as Luan had dragged the perpetrator forward.
"Your majesty!" he had cried out. Luan had bit down on the man's arm harder to the point you could hear his bones breaking.
"Good job Luan. Now let King Rhys handle it. I'm sure he has better methods of gathering information than I ever could," she had sweetly before walking inside the inn.
Hours seemed to go by before she heard someone walking down the hallway. Soon after the door swung open. Rhys stood there. Anger clear on his face. He entered the room and slammed the door behind him.
"How dare you question my authority as you did earlier. There was a search underway to find the perpetrator. You did not have to involve yourself in such a manner."
"I wouldn't have done so but my life was in danger and your way was taking too long," she said politely.
"There's a way of doing things. You had no right. You are NOT MY QUEEN YET."
"Not yet but I am still royalty of the Timpeall Kingdom and there was an attempt on MY LIFE," she stood up and glared at him. Her blood boiling.
Rhys had lost all patients with Amaris at that point. Before she knew it, she felt a stinging sensation on her cheek and herself on the ground. She looked up in disbelief that he had just slapped her but before she could say anything else. The door to the room was broken down and there stood Luan.
He took one look at Amaris as tears rolled down her cheeks and he saw red. He took a menacing step towards Rhys. Teeth bared as growls filled the room. "Luan don't!" Amaris begged but Luan did not hear her. His eyes were focused on Rhys and he couldn't focus on anything else. Luan went to lounge at Rhys but Amaris had stood in front of him. Stopping him dead in his tracks.
"I'll deal with it myself. Please," Amaris begged.
'I don't want to lose you because of his stupidity. If you do this... you'll leave me alone in a world I know nothing about,' she had told him through mind speech.
Rhys watched the interaction between the wolf and Amaris. The bloodlust in the room had disappeared in the matter of seconds and he was left speechless. She turned towards Rhys and stood her ground.
" Lay your hands on me again. To harm me in any shape or form. I wont be able to defend you against Luan. Harm Luan and I'll make you regret it. Is that understood?"
Luan went to stand next to her. His stance saying everything. Amaris placed her hand on the top of his head and scratched it behind his ear.
"I understand," Rhys said through gritted teeth.
"Then go deal with the traitor and leave me to myself."
And with that, he left instantly. Not wanting to stay near her at this moment until he could figure out how to handle her.
