Chapter 2148: I Offered Myself To Be Your Bodyguard

Long Hui stayed by Yu Qi's side for the past couple of days without leaving for work. Wherever she was at the hospital, at the research centre, or at the company, Long Hui stayed by her side.

"Do you have a vacation or something?" Yu Qi asked while she was at the company. 

She just finished her monthly meeting with her employees. Long Hui stayed in her office during the meeting. 

"Sort of." Long Hui said.

"Really?" Yu Qi raised her eyebrow.

Yu Qi stared at Long Hui intensely. Long Hui coughed several times. 

"Well... I am your bodyguard for now." Long Hui stated.

"Is something happening?" Yu Qi wanted to know.

"The government ordered it. They discovered there is an organization targeting talented researchers around the world. So, they issued the orders. Many soldiers got the order. Seeing you on the list, I offered myself to be your bodyguard." Long Hui could not help but blurt everything under Yu Qi's intense stare.
