Masters

Roland helped Ryth walked to the other room where his friends were resting. He opened the door and saw two beds in the room, with a bedside table between both beds and a small lantern on top of the table.

He walked slowly to the side of the beds. When he saw the two of them he gasped in surprise. "Llyod and Hill?! They survived the attacks? This is great news!" thought Ryth.

Llyod and Hill are the original body's owner most trusted men. Both of their skills are top notch in Myrad City. Llyod is a skilled berserker with his two-handed sword skills. His name brought both fear and respect to friends and foes alike. While Hill is the most skilled archer in Myrad City. Llyod's nickname is 'Fierce Lion' while 'Black Raven' is Hill's nickname. They are famous throughout the western province of Rysen, a Kingdom in this world.

Llyod is a 38 year old man with blonde short hair and a ginger short beard. He's 180 cm tall with a sharp look in his eyes like a lion. Although, his name is 'Fierce Lion', due to his achievements in the army, he also has a friendly personality. He only shows his 'Fierce' side to his foes. Llyod is Ryth's teacher in the way of sword, where although, Ryth prefers the way of one-handed sword, compare to two-handed. Additionally, even though, Lloyd's specialty is the two-handed sword, his one-handed sword skill is still ranked in the top 10 in western province of Rysen Kingdom.

Hill has the same age as Llyod; the two of them are sworn brothers ever since they were young, even joining the army at the same time when they were young. Unlike Llyod, Hill has long black hair, are clean shaven and looks younger than his actual age. He's 178 cm tall and is the silent one among the two. He never shows any kind of emotion whenever there are people around. Even Ryth, the original body's owner only saw him smiled once, hence, the nickname 'Black Raven'. He is also Ryth's archery teacher.

Both of them are loyal to Ryth's father and had supported his decision to make Ryth his successor. There were rumours that they were being offered to join his stepbrother's faction but they had declined. But the fact that they were here right now with Ryth was the proof that they really did decline his stepbrother's offer.

Rather than calling them 'friends', Ryth calls them 'Masters' since they are the one who taught him the most, not just in the way of fighting but also about life.

Mr. Roland helped Ryth grab a chair to sit and said. "Don't worry, they are just exhausted. Maybe tomorrow they will wake up."

Ryth nodded, and after a short time of silence, he asked. "Mr. Roland, did you see any weapons or other devices on them when you found them?"

"No, they didn't. I found them the way they are now. Just like you. Only the clothing that you are wearing now." Answered Mr. Roland.

Ryth said to himself. "It seems that after i fell, no, after the original owner of this body fell from the cliff, they didn't hesitate to jump after him. They must have removed their armors first and then jump to the river." Ryth sighed. "When they found me, they must have removed my armor as well, so that I won't drown... And ended up here."

"Hopefully, those bandits didn't realize that we escape if they stumble upon our discarded armors," Ryth said to himself.

"If they did find the discarded armor, my stepbrother will eventually found out about our survival. Guess I need to work things out faster before he catches up to me. I too worried about the mother of the original owner of this body. I have to move quickly and find more allies to help me."

Ryth sighed and asked whether Roland have a map or not.

"Sure, I do," Mr. Roland answered. "Let's leave those two to their rest and I'll hand you the map."

Together, they left the room, closing the door behind them and headed towards the living room.

Inside the living room, a bunch of dead rabbits hung, not far from the cooking area. The furniture and the style of the house are the same like in 'The Throne' game. This fact surprised Ryth a bit.

Ryth sat on a chair while Mr. Roland walked to the bookshelves trying to find the map.

The sound of books being thrown can be heard throughout the room, causing dust flying and Mr Roland to cough.

"Cough, cough!"

"Uhm, cough! I think it's somewhere around here... Aha! Cough! This is it!"

He took out a yellowish and worn out map from one of the books. Looking at Ryth's surprised expression, Roland gave him a sheepish smile and an awkward laugh, "Ha-cough! hahaha... Don't worry, boy! Nothing has changed in this map. I just... Don't use it too much since its of no use to me."

Ryth returned a small smile and said, "It's fine, Mr. Roland. Thank you, this will help a lot."

"Haha! You sure are such a polite little guy eh! I like you already!"

Ryth stared at Mr. Roland with fear in his right eye and cold sweat streamed down from his forehead as he tried to cover his body with both of his hands.

Mr. Roland saw Ryth's expression and then noticed that he just said something misleading, he hurriedly said. "Ah, no! Not in that way! Don't misunderstand!"

Ryth heave a sigh of relief as he swept his cold sweat from his forehead and said. "Mr. Roland, you scare me there for a second." Ryth bitterly smiled. "Can I now take a look at the map?"

Mr. Roland let out an awkward laugh. "Ha-haha! You know i don't mean it that way!" He walked towards Ryth and spread the map open. "Here is the map of Rysen Kingdom."

Examining the map in front of him, Ryth realised that the map is exactly the same as one of the 'The Throne' Kingdom's map. Ryth already realized when he went through the memories of the original owner of this body that the map looked the same, and the map in front of him is proof enough that it is indeed the same with the only differences are only the names of villages, cities, and the Kingdom's name.

Ryth relaxed his mind and let out a breath, asking, "Where are we now, Mr. Roland?"

Roland pointed his finger towards one part of the map and said, "Here."
