Short summary of the first book.

After a motor racing accident, Kraven, the son of a creator of online full immersion games, finds himself on death's door. His father, a man of means, places Kraven in a virtual reality capsule to alleviate his suffering. However, the capsule is a prototype, so there is risk involved.

Kraven regaines consciousness in the virtual world of Noria and does not immediately understand what is happening to him. When he eventually figures it out, he begins to look for ways to contact his father. He needs someone that he can trust. Soon the primary task fades into the background.

The protagonist falls into slavery, because unlike other players he doesn't have the option to leave the game or contact the management. What is more, his sensitivity is so strong that all feelings, including pain, are close to real. Now the game becomes his 'life', and it doesn't start well. A stroke of luck gives him a chance to return freedom. He gets a game class that is inaccessible to ordinary players. Kraven has only to complete the task and free the great wizard from captivity in a monastery on the edge of the mainland. That wizard is the only person who can make a dent in the divine barrier dividing the Cursed Lands from the big world.
