The Man From West Green

Hair styled in classy beach waves, the elegant peach blazer long gone and switched to statement leather jacket elegantly resting on her shoulders, Zafkiel stood impatiently beside her matte black Koenigsegg.

"Exactly how many times had I lost to you?" a familiar voice draw the blonde from her impatient daze. In a perfectly tailored burgundy suit, a man came approaching Zafkiel as he adjust his cufflinks. His crisp white shirt are on point focusing the attention on the matching tie. The get up complemented his chiseled features bringing about such a dashing young man. He have such prominent jaw line and a greek nose accompanying an enchanting set of green eyes.

Putting on a fake thinking face, Zafkiel hummed for a few seconds before answering in a teasing tone. "About 10 times now but I'm not so sure who is doing whom a favor." The guy had an inquisitive look hearing her statement, but the former just tugged his arm towards the entrance of West Green. A buff looking guard was guarding the tall doors of the bar, with a quick glance with the man held by her hand. A defeated expression was his reply fishing a black card from his inner pocket.

Reading the gold plated letters on the card, the guard gave a court nod as he opened the door for the two. "Enjoy your evening."

Finally regaining his wits, the guy straightened his stance and fixed his disheveled hair. "After you," he smiled as gentlemanly as possible. But before she entered the bar, Zafkiel left an instruction to the guard.

"Josh, let's go," she chimed.

The place was electrifyingly beautiful. Classical jazz music could be heard in the background and the dim lighting just made everything so romantic. As of the both of them made their way to the dinning area a man dressed in black tailcoat greeted the two. "Good evening does the missus and sir have a reservation for tonight?"

With his poise smile, the green eyed man answered charmingly, "Yes. Park. Josh Park." Hearing the name of the guy the maitre immediately ushered the two to the best seat in the restaurant. It was atop the second floor by the floor to ceiling windows. The view was breathtaking as it oversees the cityscape and by the other side was the sight of the grand piano being played by one of the local artiste.

The maitre was about to pull a seat for the lady but Zaf raised her hand to politely decline. With a quick glance to Josh, she could already notice the brewing nervousness in him. This made her chuckle lightly as she pat his shoulders, "You're totally not looking like your usual self today. Man up~"

Her words somewhat stop the jitters. With a warm smile she gestured her fingers on the bar counter nearby. Signaling where she would be at. With all the elegance and poise of a proper lady Zaf approached the bartender and ordered the house special. She shortly glance at Josh to see him took a seat for himself by the table and wait for the his date. At around 30 minutes later a lady dressed in a chic mustard dress entered the vicinity. The man playing the piano almost momentarily stopped his playing when he saw the lady. The young lady wasn't as physically striking as Zafkiel but she is just every bit more breathtaking at the moment.

Her brown locks elegantly braided to a side bun, perfectly framing her small face. The mustard color dress brought out her eye color. The dress itself though was powerful, it would have been a simple A-line dress but the strategic cutouts on the side and the straight bodice was tied together by a mesh of sheer fabric. However though that was the case, her own charisma wasn't drown but rather the clothing she wore but rather enhances her beauty, complimenting her long legs and giving an aura of nobility.

From a short glance at the new face, Zafkiel's lips curved upwards as she continue to sip on her drink. It didn't take long though for Josh to almost stumble across his own feet trying to approach the young lady. Finally noticing the fine man approaching the beautiful lady had gone scarlet.

"Hey I was-"

"Hi I heard-"

Both spoke at the same time causing the two of them to blush even deeper. Zafkiel just silently chuckling on the sides as she watch the scene unfold.

"You first," the brown haired lady smiled as she gestured to Josh.

"I just want to say you look lovely, Aaliyah" he smiled. Hearing this, Aaliyah's face is drown in 50 shades of red.

"Stood up by your date?" a cielo like voice uttered. Zaf tilted her head to the side to look at the source of the unneeded comment. Oddly she didn't feel offended but rather amused. It was a young man probably around her age, drinking something on the rocks. He too seemed alone. Her red stained lips curved upwards as she chuckled.

"Nah. I gave away my date…" she raised her glass, "this is way more fun."

"How about you, got dumped by your date?"

Her retort seemingly impressed the young man. As a token he signaled the bartender to give her another glass under his tab. His aura was regal and his face is quite charming. With his dirty blonde hair and chiseled jawline, almost all women in the room couldn't help but take a second glance at him.

"If that was the case it would be her loss…" he said.

Her left brow raised in mock sarcasm but is pleased with the free drink. Her cerulean eyes met his obsidian ones drowning her in her thoughts momentarily before finally recognizing who she is talking with.

"Hey, aren't you the guy from Raizen. This isn't enough compensation for ruining my dress…"

"My apologies about the coffee. I hope this beautiful miss could forgive me…"

"Swallow your flattery. It works too well… Ruth by the way."

Her retort made him chuckle and with as smile he introduced himself, "At least now you could call me the man from West Green. Adriel." He winked.

The two continued to chat whilst enjoying their drinks. Adriel properly apologized with the mishap earlier this morning and explained that he was trying to catch his professor. Not long though, his phone started vibrating notifying him of an incoming message. As soon as he read it however his face became stiff with seriousness.

"I'm sorry but I have to go now. See you in the University." he bid her farewell after he settled the bill, including hers. Zaf didn't even managed to reply when he dashed out of the restaurant. She could only sigh in confusion as she take her leave as well. Not even bothering to bother her match making subjects, through the valet she hailed herself a cab.

Although she is not that drunk, she's still intoxicated and it's dangerous to drive in that state. Especially if the car could go to up to 500 km/hr. Moments later the cab arrived, she gave the driver her apartment address. Within 30 minutes, the cab stopped by the familiar streets near Raizen U.

The lights were dimmed, judging by the translucent window. Zaf was about to fish out her keys when the clicks of the door being unlocked was heard. "Sis, you're back," the boy standing by the doors greeted with a warm smile. Seeing her little brother, the blonde bombshell felt warm inside.

"Why are you still up? It's late…" she scolded but her tone is gentle. Her hand pat his shoulder, indicating that he should go rest.

"I was waiting for you," he charmingly answered.

While it might not be true it isn't a complete lie. Hearing some sound effects in the background, Zaf raised her left brow as if questioning him.

"All right I am binge watching season 4 of Flash," Ethan admitted. His older sister smiled, as she look at the scenes playing out in the television.

"Fine since it's Friday but this is your last episode for the night," she told him.

Ethan obediently nodded. Getting the response she wanted, Zaf went to wash up and prepare to get some shut eye. A rule she has religiously followed since arriving on earth is to always take good care of her skin. As she apply the serum and essence on her immaculate face, she noticed something and just inwardly sighed.

"I may develop wrinkles early because of her," she chuckled to herself.

In her pajamas, the young lady is now prepped for her much needed beauty rest but the blinking notification light from her phone said otherwise. It was from Josh, a series of messages expressing his gratitude. It was indeed a lovely evening, Zaf thought a successful one at that.
