Day Four Part 2

Susan went back upstairs to clean herself up. She sure hoped her father was right. She also wished she could find out if she was pregnant.

She was not going to take that silly pill to make sure she wasn't going to get pregnant.

When she came back down stairs her mother called her into the study. Mr. Wolf had pulled some strings to get the marriage license today. He would niw owe some big favor. He had Susan go ahead and sign them. Now to get his son to do the same tommarow morning.

Jake raced down the street trying to get home fast. He hoped that Zane would be able to stall her. He could not loose her.

The the way there he could only think of having her in his life. He was almost 25 and she was only 22. Not a big age difference but they grew up in different world.

He wanted to hold and protect her. He wanted to spoil her and leave his mark on her life.

When he pulled up he asked Max, "Is she still here?"

Stepping back because he knew of this man's wrath Max said, "No sir, she left about ten minutes ago. She was crying."

Jake froze. He was to late. "Is Zane still here?"

"Yes, He is still up in your place." Max had never seen this look. A look of defeat and loneliness.

Jake entered the elevator and headed up. He walked in and Zane was sitting on the couch.

"Sorry boss I could not keep her here."

"It's not you fault its that bitch who drugged me last night."

"You were drugged?"zane was surprised.

"Yah with tea. I think my parents help her." She slumped down and ran his fingers over his face.

"How do I get her back?" He asked.

"Try telling her the truth. But first you need to take care of the scheming. She said before she left that your world was full of schemers."

Jake knew she was right. He then seen the deed on the coffee table. "She forgot something."

"No she said she did not want it after all."

"Send it over to her boss a long with a check for ten thousand. It's the least I can do. I'll meet you at the office at one I need time to pull my self together."

"Ok boss." Zane left and headed over to Caring Hands.

Zane explained everything to Carrie and gave her the deed to the property along with the check. He had hoped that Carrie would be able to help bring the two back together.

Carrie was not sure. She grew up in that world and knew what kind of backstabbing could go on. Lillian was special and very kind of woman so she wanted her to stay away from those kind of people but she agreed to talk to her.

Lillian got home and cried herself to sleep. She slept a few hours before waking up. How did she fall for a man like Jake Wolf.

It was still early so she changed her cloths and she headed down to Caring Hands to help out. She had to be busy to get over this heartache.

She was surprised that Carrie was not surprised she was there.

"I wondered if you would come in today or not." Carrie said.

"How did you know?" Lillian asked.

"Mr. Johnson stopped by. He gave me the deed to this place and a check for ten thousand. He also told me what happened."

"I'm not sure what happened myself, what did he say."

"He said his boss is in love with you and his family and some girl drugged him and you found him sleeping with her and ran."

"He was drugged?"

"That's what I was told. But Lillian you are to good for people like them. It's best if you stay out of their world. Believe me I grew up with people like them and I was glad to get away."

"Really? I think your right. I told him I could not be with him. I knew if I did he would hurt me. Can I work tonight?"

"Sure, why don't you start making some bread. Yours comes out so much better."

Jake pulled him self together and took a long hot shower. He went to the Office even though it was sunday to get some work done.

It was hard to work and he kept trying to call Lillian but she would not pick up.

Zane finally arrived after running his boss's errands.

"Zane how do I fix this." He asked.

"Jake, You need to give her time. Sent her a text explaining everything and ask her to call when she ready."

"She may never be ready." He would lose her.

He thought and thought then pulled out his phone.

[They drugged me. I'm sorry for betraying you. Please call me so I can explain. love you big bad Wolf.]

He waited and waited for a call that did not come that day.

Lillian's phone chimes 'You have a message'

She looks down. She can not open it right now it hurts to much.

She had been been watching the calls all evening one after the other but could not pick them up.

Why did it hurt like this. Her feelings for Jake were making her crazy. And with what Carrie told her it was breaking her heart even more.

Even drugged he should of known who he was sleeping with... right?

After helping Carrie clean up for the night; Carrie drives Lillian and Toby home.

"This may be for the best honey. Let me know if you need anything I am here for you." Carrie says as Lillian gets out of the car.

She heads up and looks at her phone one last time. She can not bring herself to read his message and the tears start flowing all over again.

Meanwhile Jake is setting starring at his phone wishing she would call.

He would never sleep again till she was back in his arms and in his bed. He aslso would not let the ones who did this get away with it.

Tommarow all hell was going to break loose. No one was getting away with this.
