Life after it all

Sunday Danny put on shorts and a peasant blouse.

Little Tommy Tucker

Sings for his supper.

What shall we give him?

Brown bread and butter.

How shall he cut it

Without a knife?

How will he be married

Without a wife?

She sang this rhyme while she got ready. She made a picnic basket full of food. He was to bring the wine.

Thomas sat at the computer and typed out a message for Little Bo Peep and read it over.

I am sorry but I decided this is not for me. I know you must be a good person but I have feeling for another and this will not be fair to you. She does not know My feelings but I think I want to try and get to know her better. She is sweet and kind and a hard worker. I all ways feel better when I see her. So I am sorry for wasting your time.

Danny's phone beeped. A message from Tommy.

She opened it and read it. Her heart felt heavier as she read it.

This was always her luck. So she sent a message back.

Thank you for letting me know. She sounds like a good person. You should go for it. I will still go to the park for a picnic if you would like to join me as friends then you are welcome to come. If not then I really wish you the best.

Little Bo Peep

Danny sent the message and grabbed a bottle of Wine and a book and headed out the door for the park. This was not going to spoil her day.

She walked all the way to the park and picked a spot. She laid out the blanket. She then pulled out the book and got comfortable and started to read.

Thomas read the message. He wanted to see what this girl looked like really bad. He would not have to stay just go to the park and look. She would never know.

"Jack come with me today. I need to see what this girl looks like." He said.

'Just go on the date. Sounds like she is not expecting anything but friendship. Why are you such a crybaby? Beside I have my would date today with Kimmy.' Jack said.

"I am not a crybaby Jackass. Ok I'll go alone because my bestfriend is not my friend right now."

Jack just layghed. 'Thanks buddy. You know this could be practice for the girl you really like, what's her name again?'

"Danielle."

'Yes Danielle, It will be practice for Danielle. Just go she got to be there by now.' Jack said.

" Ok, You win." Thomas hung up the phone.

"Just a little look and that all." he said to himself as he walked out the door.

Jack parked in front of the apartment building and parked the car. He then rang the buzzer on the the box with her name.

"Who is it" the voice sang out.

"I am here to slay a giant and run away with his Harp." Jack laughed.

"Come on up" she giggled.

The door buzzed and he went in. She was on the third floor and 3C was at the end of the hall. He then knocked.

When the door opened he was stunned. She was dressed in a pink and blue sundress that made her eyes soft and radiant. "You look beautiful."

"Thanks, and you look handsome lunch is almost ready come on in." She smiled and opened the door wider.

"Smells good. Can I help with anything?" he asked.

"You could open the wine it's on the table."

"Sure thing." He walked over and looked at the wine. Pinot Noir this was a great one we must be having fish.

"What are we eating?" He asked as the cork popped.

"Rosemary Salmon, Mediterranean Chickpea Salad, Lemony Herb Couscous, and Grilled Asparagus." she said.

"Sounds great." he sat the bottle down to air and walked into the kitchen area.

"You have a great place here, I like it." He said wrapping his arms and kissing the back of her head.

"It's home." She the leaned into his embrace.

Her hair had the fragrance of strawberries. He just wanted to barrie his face in it.

"Dinner is ready can you help carry the food to the table?" She asked.

"Ok, just I like standing here with you in my arms." He said.

She laughed as she turned in his arms and planted a kiss on his lips. "Well you can hold me later I promise."

"I'll hold you to it then." He let her go and grabbed two dishes.

"Everything smells great Kimmy." He set the dished on the table.

"Thanks, I love cooking. Lets eat." She said.

Lillian sat at her desk looking through her project notes. She wanted to make sure everything was perfect for Tuesday. It was only a few days away.

Jake walked into the room and leaned on the door watching her. He loved this woman with all his might and was glad she decided to stay with the company.

"Hey, want to go for a walk with me?" he asked.

Lillian looked up with a smile, "Sure, I'm just going on circles."

She got up and placed her hand in his as they walked out of her home office. They walk out to the back yard.

"Lovely day isn't it?" He said.

"Yes it is. Why are we walking in the back yard?" She asked.

Jake just smiled and strolled to the back of the yard where a table was set up with lots of good food.

"I wanted to have a nice lunch with my lovely wife." He said pulling out her chair.

"Looks good but you know I can't drink wine." She said pointing at a bottle on the table.

"It's non-alcoholic just for you." He smiled and poured her some.

"Why all this?"

"After the past month we had, I just wanted to spend a quite day with the mother of my child before everything gets crazy again after he come." He placed some food on her plate.

"He? What if it a girl? and we have 9 months before it is here." She laughed

"Boy or girl it really did not matter as long as you are by my side."
