I had completed my shopping . and was just excited for the ceremonies started..haldi, mehandi, bhaat etc ...all typical rituals which organize in a North Indian Hindu Brahman family. The day of the wedding , every person told me that I am looking such a beautiful bride in my red golden embroidered lehanga..although I am not fair in complexion but my whitish complexion suited me always , and above all my sweet pure dimpled smile has always been a heart taking element of my appearance .
my wedding was a memorable day for me . I was so whelmed .And finally have reached to my own home. I was just smiling and want to sleep in the embrace of half of my soul.so that I could relax after a long journey I havbeen travelled since my childhood til the date . suddenly, I heard some sounds from outside ...like people were running in hurry ...my mother in law was crying aloud ...me too wanted to go out to see what is happening there , so I get down from my bed hurriedly, ran towards the room's door . stopped for a sec but couldn't stop myself and reached at drawing room hastly , very next moment I was standing in my changed night outfit , in front of all the guests . My mother in law was staring at me with open mouth , her weep and cry was like almost stopped and now , I was the center of aataraction of each eye ..... very soon me too realized that
what I was planned to become a lovely , sanskari daughter in law . And what I was doing there ? " first impression is the last impression" ...I have heard and read it many times , so I was got double worried for my future image in my new home ...specially for the relatives who come occasionally only. anyways it was so embarrassing for me as well as for my new family too . but it says every bad situation has a good side too so at least now I knew the reason of all those messy sounds , actually there is a ritual in Hindu custom which is known as kangna khulayi after marriage me and my husband too played that some hours ago , with our engagement rings in a milk mix water ... and someone intelligent there , have thrown out that water in our garden's grass along with those rings...and now the problem was that one ring was missing ... so all were searching that ...and my mother in law was crying because my father in law was continuously scolding her for that carelessness...some were gossiping and counting this incident as a apshakun too ...that was just the beginning of misfortune gonna be continue with me .
