The bedroom cum living room was shrouded in darkness. The curtains veiled the slight windows in the room. The cupboard shelves were lined up with photos & show pieces. The bed was a small one, perfect for a single being. The only three seater sofa was pushed to the extreme corner of the room. Cath sat down on the edge of the bed before she plopped down on her bed with her legs brushing the floor. The moment she closed her eyes, her vision was filled with Aaron's handsome profile. His perfect jawline, his chiseled cheekbones, vulpine nose, deep-set brown eyes & exquisitely arched brows. Especially his full & sensuous lips.
Cath opened her eyes & sat up with a jump. She wanted to rage, to scream and tear at her hair, anything to let out these simmering emotions. What the heck had gotten into her? Why on earth was she thinking of...Aaron? Okay! She admitted that he was too good looking.
"You cannot fall in love until you make it big in the entertainment industry. That's the rule", Aunty Shoo's words reverberated in her ears.
Calm down! Calm down! Ahem!
She quickly ran inside her bathroom & sat down under the shower. She let the cold water wash away her dangerous thoughts! The pale blue frock turned darker as the water drenched to her skin. After she felt that she was alright, then only she exited the bathroom.

Inside a private bar
Colorful lights danced everywhere. On the poles upstage, cling the women in the filthy clothes. Suddenly, a man climbed up the stage & pulled off a woman's clothes. The audience downstairs cheered while Jessica closed her eyes with disgust. Sitting inside a bar, she was rather wearing jeans with a tee, overshadowed by a long coat. She opened her eyes & took a look at her phone before she stood up & headed in.
As she walked in, she was checking her phone when she bumped into someone. She lifted her face,
"Sorry." She was stunned.
Aaron! Why was he here?!
She was flustered & immediately fled the scene out of guilt. Aaron was equally stunned, observing Jessica's retreating back. He heaved a sigh & his perfect face was gloomy. His gloomy face gave off a rather distant vibe. His perfect jawline, his chiseled cheekbones, vulpine nose, deep-set brown eyes & exquisitely arched brows, all seemed hidden behind the shadows. No one dared to approach him. Actually, he was not here for a drink. He had followed her in to ask her the question that was bugging him since his return. But he lost sight of her & here again he bumped into her.
Why didn't she wait for him? Why did she decide to marry someone else?
When Aaron got back from the USA, he decided to seek her out, only to find out that she was already engaged. When he first saw her, it was a rainy day. He was returning from the state library under an umbrella. That's when he saw her, snuggling in a small jacket & the hoodie covering her drenched face. That night, he felt pity for a classmate whom he knew casually. He silently accompanied her to her home under the same umbrella. That was maybe a typical scene from a romantic movie. But, it meant a lot to him.
Aaron kept on downing his glass one after the other as the bartender poured. But, since his alcohol tolerance was very high, he was still sober. He walked out of the bar with a sour mood. When he was about to get into his red Bentley, the big screen fitted on the building above him started playing a trailer.
'A day in Spring'
In the trailer, Catherine appeared two times. The first time she appeared in a serious avatar while in the second time, she was smiling at someone. From the audience's point of view, it would appear she was smiling at you. Unconsciously, a smile spread across Aaron's face. His mood drastically improved.
He started driving with a faint smile. Within minutes, his car took a turn & it turned a lively avenue.
"I live at 78 Park Street, D.C. Avenue", Cath had said to him in the morning with a smile, "There you'll never feel lonely."
Aaron got down from his car & a gust of wind brushed his handsome profile. His smile grew wider when his eyes fixed his eyes on a particular balcony on one of the apartments.
