Babysitting Grandma

After her continuous drifting in and out of consciousness, Alice finally sat up. Her headache had gone worse with the addition of her strange and meaningless dreams. The door creaked suddenly, which made Alice jump. She clutched the duvet close to her chest. But out came Cath's smiling face followed by the others. They entered like the female and male models of an international runway. Her face twitched with embarrassment.

"Here", Cath smilingly hande her a glass of milk.

She took it from her and gave a gentle sip. Then, she cocked her head to a side when she saw Aaron snuggling close to Cath. She broke into an adorable smile, "Well, my words did take effect."

"Huh?"

"What?"

"About what?"

"What about it?"

"Eh?"

Everyone shot her weird looks. Alice smiled again as she pointed to Cath and Aaron, "I am talking about the two of you."

"Oh!" Cath smiled awkwardly while Aaron gave a dry cough.

"I don't get what you are talking about", Aaron behaved like a child caught with a cookie jar.

"Why not?" Alice raised an eyebrow while Eddie, Jake, and Daniel were mere spectators, "After all, my emergency app had Aaron's name as a contact, including Eddie and Daniel."

"What's wrong with that?" Cath frowned.

"Brother supposed to be here. How did you know about it?" Alice retorted.

"Oh...that", Aaron was at a loss for words.

"Well", Eddie chuckled, "As I dragged Jake along, rest is history."

"That must be it", Daniel chortled along.

"Look", Alice smirked, "I am not a babysitting Grandma, that you have to hide such facts."

"What..." Aaron slouched.

"That's apparent from the love bite on her neck", Alice stated.

Cath placed a quick hand on her neck. The apparent rush in the evening made her forget that.

"And the rings on both of your hands", Alice continued without care.

The other three continued their guffawings.

"Senior Brother", Vivan yelled as he was being dragged to his room, which was more like a prison to him, "I promise not to do that again."

"You bet!" Vivek yelled as he pushed him inside and slammed the door behind him. Vivan's face turned ghostly pale when he saw his brother enter the room. He was probably going to get a good beating. As a result, he shrunk back to the farthest corner. His hoodie had been ripped off from his face and what revealed was a younger version of Vivek. No wonder, he was much younger than Vivek. The young boy was shivering under his brother's gaze. He became mentally retarded when they lost their parents. Vivek was, by then, already a police officer while the young fella was in his early teens. They lost their parents in a car accident years ago, leading to the deterioration of Vivan's poor mental health and Vivek's ruthlessness.

Vivek picked up the black metal whiplash and Vivan began shivering more terribly, "No Senior Brother! No!"

By then, loid knocking and thumping could be heard by the door. No doubt, the whole lot of maids and servants and stewards and drivers had arrived by the door. Mr. Rai yelled, "Sir! You will kill him if you are like this. It can be settled if you sit patiently with him."

Vivan was already crying when his brother yelled, "I will kill him for sure tonight!"

"Senior Brother", Vivan spoke with his clear, teary eyes, "Please forgive me this once!"

"Your first chance was your last!" Vivek yelled back.
