What happens next (part 2)

After dropping Matthew off for treatment Kai went to work, but what happened after that was something he had not been expecting.
Kai's POV
I was minding my own business while working like usual, when someone jerked my arm. So many thoughts ran through my mind at once. I knew by the they jerked me it was not someone friendly. Only what I didn't except was who it was. It was Eli Chen the person I used to love. I asked for my lunch break so I could talk with Eli. Eli took me out back in the alley and slammed me up against the wall. I yelped as he pinned me to the wall and it took all my strength to talk.
"Eli your hurting me." I said though it was more of a whine.
"So what, you hurt me!" he yelled.
"Eli, I never ment to hurt you or anyone else." I told him.
"Well you did.I never could forget about you but it looks like you've forgotten me." he said (with hurt in his eyes).
"I haven't forgotten you Eli, I moved on yes but I haven't forgotten." I said.
"You once said you'd never leave me but you did." he said.
"I wanted out of your gang, but I wouldn't have left you if you hadn't treated me like trash." I said.
"Leaving my gang means leaving me, I told you that Kai." he said said.
"I have to get back to work. Oh and the money I'll pay it back." I said.
It took all I had to push Eli off but as I turned to leave he grabbed me again. Only this time he pulled me to him and kissed me. Matthew's face popped up in my head as I struggled to get away. When Eli let go he received a slap in the face literally. Bad move I know but at the time I was just so mad.
"I guess you really only eyes for your schoolboy now." he said.
"Eli this isn't about Matthew, it's about you" I said.
"It'd be a shame if something were to happen to your schoolboy?" he said.
"Matthew is already sick so just leave him alone." I said.
"Sick? Now that's a shame but I guess it makes it easier to do this." he said.
The next it thing I knew I was surrounded by some guys from Eli's gang. Cruz threw the first punch but when it's five against one, well I had no chance to start with. The world was going black and I knew I was going to pass out. I woke up in a room I knew all to well it was Eli's room. I knew it wasn't a good thing that Eli brought me back here. My thoughts were interpreted when young girl who couldn't be but Shay's age came in. It took awhile but she finally spoke though I knew for a fact she wasn't supposed to be talking to me.
"Gald to see your awake." she said.
"Who are you? How long have I been out?" I asked.
"My name it's Chloe, and you've been out for five hours." she answered.
"What time is it?" I asked.
"It's nearly five o'clock." she answered.
"I have to go!" I said shocked.
"Good luck with that around your leg." she said.
She was right my hands were tapped behind my back and my leg was tied to the bed. This was not good at all. If I asked for her help I knew she would probably do it but she would be punished later for failing to do her job right.
"Right I guess I'm stuck here for now." I said.
"Why didn't you ask for my help?" she asked.
"I know how this gang works and punishment is not something you deserve." I told her.
"Your much kinder then them so I'll do you a favor" she said.
"Call this hospital and ask for Matthew James Lorance on behalf of Kai Green.
"Tell him I won't be coming home tonight because I have to work" I told her.
"Ok I can do that for you. Kai your a much better person than I am" she said.
"Not at all kiddo, I used to be a very bad person but I got out and this is who I am now." I said.
"I don't believe that Kai. You had reason and I'm sure they were good ones." she said.
"Thank you for taking care of me." I said.
"Your welcome and Kai I'm sorry" she said.
"For what? You did nothing wrong." I said.
"For this" she said as she stuck a needle in my arm.
My eyes felt heavy, the room was fuzzy, and words seemed to blur together. Though I heard one sentence as clear as day.
"I'm sorry about my brother." she said as she left.
What had she meant by those words. My eyes shut with that one final thought. When I woke Eli was standing in the doorway. He had a sad look in his eyes. A look that was not seen quite often on his face. He move away from the door and sat down on the edge of the bed. I had to close my eyes for the drugs were still in me as I did he crest my face and said.
"Why did you leave? Weren't you happy with me?" he said.
"..." I wanted to say something only I couldn't so I listened.
"Couldn't you tell just how much I loved you." he said.
I could tell. You let me leave because you loved me. Eli had I never met Matthew I think you would still have my heart. I didn't want to leave but I didn't want Shay to know about me being in a gang. If only I could tell you all the unspoken truths in my heart.
"I want you Kai even if I have to take you by force.I want you to look at me the way you used to. " Eli said.
I knew what was going to happen but I couldn't stop it. I didn't want this, I had Matthew who was probably waiting for me at home. Eli's hand found it way under my shirt. I wanted to fight back but whatever Chloe had put in my system was still making me weak. Eli kissed me and he didn't stop there but I won't go into detail. He left bit marks on me and hickey's everywhere. I didn't know how I would be able to face Matthew after what happened in this room. Eli left that morning and who I saw next would make me cry. Cruz walked in the room and I knew in my heart he was releasing me but why I didn't know.
"Sorry I'm late" he said.
"Better late than never." I cried.
"Look Kai you and I we have our differences but this is so wrong." he said.
"Just undo me so I can wash and put my clothes back on please." I said.
"Yeah here let me" he said.
Cruz undid me and turn but there he turned back and said.
"When your done washing and dressing go out the back door. You know where it at." he said.
"Thank you Cruz." I said.
"Don't thank me I came to late and you got hurt. I'm only saving you from more pain" he said.
"Exactly that's why I'm thanking you." I said.
Cruz left but came back a minute later with clothes from his closet. I washed because eventhough I wasn't dirty anymore, I still felt dirty. I dressed in the clothes Cruz had brought me because looking at my clothes now made me sick. I went to the only place I could think of and it was Will's house. There was no way on earth I could face Matthew after what just happened. I went to Will's and knocked on the door. His twin sister Katie answered door and I was gald because she didn't ask questions.
"Will your friend is here!" she yelled.
"I'm not expecting anyone! Are you sure it's my friend?!" he yelled.
"Yes, I'm sure! It's the one from the hospital!" she yelled.
"Matthew?!" he yelled.
"No the other one!" she yelled.
"Ok, be down in a second." he yelled.
Right as he yelled that Asher came through the living room. He look so happy until he saw me. His face filled with sadness and wonder. Asher took my hand and took me upstairs to his room.
"What happened to you?" he asked.
"It's a long story" I said.
I told everything to Asher. Asher looked as though he would cry. Will must have came in because he too looked as if he'd cry. They agreed to let me stay the night and I was thankful.
"Oh my God honey, I'm so sorry that happened to you." Asher said.
"I am too dear, stay as long as you need." Will said.
"Thanks you guys, and could you not tell Matthew about this." I said.
"Ok course we won't tell him dear, but I do think he has the right to know." said Will.
"What Will means to say is that he won't hear it from us but he should hear it from you honey because you are his lover. Take it slowly and tell him when your ready though." Asher said.
"I will I just can't do it tonight." I said.
"Ok sleep well Kai" they both said.
I was left alone with my thoughts but one was clearer than the rest. I had to tell Matthew but in the morning because I was so tired now. With that I drifted into a sleepless night.
