#19 New companion
Ren was currently on his way to Capital but he chose different route than before. He was traveling through mountainous area and he could feel that this place was extremely good for training in Wind energy so he decided to stop and train on one of the cliffs.
After 2 days of training he heard loud screech above him, when he looked up he saw eagle circling around above him. He narrowed his eyes since he knew it wasn't normal eagle but decided to wait what it wants.
After another 2 days of training when he was practicing his Wind blades and Flash step he saw how mentioned eagle landed on ground near him and was curiously watching him train. But when it saw Shell and Shadow it was surprised and decided to approach Ren.
"I thought that human is able to make contract only with 1 spirit. What is your name human?" Eagle asked Ren
'Does that mean that more people exist with companions like me?' Ren thought when he heard eagle but still answered with cold voice. "I think it's good manners to introduce yourself before asking someone's name."
"Ah, you are cold...Sorry about my manners I just didn't speak with humans for long time also I don't have any name since I am not contracted to anyone." Eagle answered calmly.
Ren kept looking at eagle for few seconds then said: "Ren"
"Nice to meet you Ren, as I can see you were able to form contract with water and death spirits. You are also not bad at controlling wind but I don't see any wind spirit. Would you want me to join you, under 1 condition?" Eagle said while looking at Shell and Shadow.
Before Ren could think about whether to accept or refuse he heard Shell' voice in his head. 'Ren, meeting spirit here is already rare you should accept unless condition is too absurd.'
"Before we will talk about condition I want to know why you want to join and also you said that humans can have contract with only 1 spirit? Are there other people who can control energies?" Ren asked eagle, wanting to know more.
Of course there are, but they are really rare and I have never heard of someone who can form contract with 2 or more spirits. But lets not speak about that now, how about it? Will you hear out my condition at least?" Eagle didn't want to speak much about topic since he didn't know Ren much.
'So I might meet more people like me, this should be fun' Ren thought while he formed smirk on his face.
"Ok, say it out" Ren said patiently.
"Thanks, It's more like a trial to see if you are worthy. You see there is very ominous creature living in one of the hills it has 4 long legs with sharp claws, lion like head and 3 big tails that can be used separately to attack enemy and most importantly it has wings on it's back." Eagle explained.
When Ren heard eagle's condition he coldly stared at eagle. Eagle wasn't really affected by it at first but after 2 minutes he couldn't take it anymore.
"Alright, alright you win. That creature is of wind type and if I were to absorb it's soul I might become stronger, but I wasn't trying to scam you. I will become your spirit and I might also be stronger than I am now..it's win for both sides" Eagle said his entire plan.
"Next time you will try to use me and it will be your last time" Ren said while murderously staring at eagle so much that his eyes changed to black color for a moment.
'He actually mastered death energy!!' Eagle thought while sweating under Ren's stare.
"I want you to become my spirit right now so I have reassurance that you won't just absorb it's soul and flee." Ren demanded from him
"Alright, I just wanted to get stronger because once I become your spirit I can't betray you or go against your words." Eagle agreed
"I don't regard them as slaves. If you have any request you can say it out loud" Ren said while looking at Shell and Shadow.
"Alright how can I form contract with you?" Ren asked
"You already have 2 spirits and you don't know how to form contract? Just simply grant me a name and I will accept" Eagle answered while being surprised by Ren's ignorance.
"I see so that's how I formed contract with them. I shall grant you name Hawke"
Hawke didn't say anything and simply agreed in his mind and then went next to Shell and Shadow. They introduced themselves and started to talk between each other to form stronger bond.
"Hawke, lead the way to that creature" Ren interrupted their conversation.
"You are actually willing to do it for me? That creature is extremely strong you could die you know?!" Hawke was totally shocked that Ren wanted to go with his request even through they just formed contract.
"Hmph" Ren just snorted and motioned to still shocked Hawke to lead the way.
Hawke did as Ren wanted but he heard Shell's warm voice near him. "Although he is cold, he still unconsciously care about us even through you just joined you are still part of the team now."
Hawke was feeling warm inside but he knew that now wasn't time to shed tears and continued to lead them towards hill where creature has it's home.
When they arrived near mentioned hill they saw big entrance to cave. When Ren tried to sense what is inside he immediately picked up very strong ominous feeling.
'This creature is in different league from creatures I have fought up to now' Ren thought while smiling and even licked his lips in anticipation.
Ever since arriving into this world Ren was slowly turning into battle maniac. In his past he couldn't find anyone stronger so he just killed everyone in 1 hit. But this world was different and was changing him because now he could even feel his life threatened by this creature's presence which he was longing for his entire life.
