CHAPTER 8

Emily needed to hear those words very badly .It reminded her of her mother and gave her a hope that no matter what happens , as long as she stands for herself , she will never lose.

" You are right granny. I miss you so much wish I could be with you right now. "

" I miss you too honey. It's late now you need to sleep , get some rest, goodnight honey ."

" bye granny." Emily put down the phone with a smile on her face and a hope for better tomorrow.

Emily fell into deep sleep now that she was feeling much better from before.

Anna and her friends were still at her house. The guests had left soon because of the incident. After Emily left the tension in the house was high nobody was in the mood to party.

Anna initially thought that Emily and Lucy would be so shaken by what she planned that they would have to broken down and she would've kicked them out of her house while they were bawling their eyes out. The way Emily still went out of her way and spoke to her didn't sit well with Anna.

Anna was never humiliated by anyone, not even her parents and Emily did it not once but twice. Anna knew it was the end of Emily , she was going to make sure of it.

"What was wrong with that girl ?" Jeremy said as he walked across the hall.

"If only she wasn't a girl I would've smacked her on the floor because of everything she has done to Anna . " Jeremy was still acting as the victim because Shawn was still present over there.

Shawn hadn't spoken a single word since Emily had stormed off . He was shocked at her behavior and guts

" How could a person do such heinous things and still so confidently and shamelessly come at Anna and say such things about her . Anna this is why I tried to warn you about them. They just wanted to use you to get closer to Shawn ." Sasha added fuel to the fire.

Anna tried to compose herself and calmed herself down. She was in no mood to converse with anyone . She got up and stormed off the room .

" Anna must've been really upset by what happened ." Lily said in a worried tone .

"Don't worry I will take care of this "

Shawn's words made Sasha feel relieved and excited about what's going to happen.

Emily woke up and found no traces of Sasha . She thought maybe she might've been with Anna .

She looked at the clock and it was already too late .

She cursed herself and quickly got ready and rushed to her class .Emily was in a hurry and so didn't go to pick up Lucy on her way . Fortunately the class hadn't started and Emily felt relieved .

Her happiness didn't last long since she saw Anna and her gang looking right at her near the class entrance .

" Well if isn't the stalker herself " Sasha taunted Emily .

Emily knew that if she reacted that would mean that she was giving in to their tactics . She remained calm and started walking slowly towards an empty seat .

" What happened Emily didn't you get a nice view of Shawn yesterday ? Are you sad that you couldn't stare at him longer or were you expecting more ? " , Lily provoked Emily even more .

" Wow you sure are desperate huh , walking into rooms to watch naked guys , what next ? are you and your stupid friend going to climb up to their beds as well " Anna said as she blocked the empty seat with her leg .

Everybody started laughing as if Anna had said something hilarious . Emily was at her limit but was not trying not to react .

Anna saw how irked Emily was so she continued with her insults to get a reaction from her .

" You look very innocent but looks sure can be deceptive especially in your case , haven't your parents ever taught you how to behave or were they just like you "

Emily had it . She had reached her saturation point . She could listen to Anna taunting her all day long but wasn't going to listen a single word about her parents .

She caught Anna's collar and swung her across the desk . Anna was about to fall onto the ground when she was suddenly caught by Shawn . Everybody was surprised at how violent Emily acted towards Anna .

"Oh Shawn . It's nothing we were just talking you don't have to get involved we can resolve it…" Anna stated in a trembling manner.

" I tell you to get off my back so you show your resentment towards my friends ? "

Shawn was furious . He wasn't going to stand still when his friends were getting hurt .

Emily was even more furious . She wasn't going to let Shawn badmouth her again .

" Firstly let me tell you I do not have any interest in arrogant bastards like you so you don't need to worry about me stalking you and secondly get your facts straight about who was showing their resentment on whom .

Emily's words triggered his anger . She was very upset with the words Anna spoke about her and so tried to storm off the class . Shawn quickly caught her hand and pulled her closer . They both were looking directly into each other eyes with fierce hatred towards each other .

" You do not get to do whatever you want and walk out while I am here. "

" Or what ? What are you going to do ? bully me again ? Fight me ? "

" Maybe I will . Until you learn some manners and humanity I will continue to torment you and make you realize your mistake ."

" You wish . " Emily gave a bitter smile and tried to get her hand off of his hold .

Shawn wasn't budging he held her hand tightly as he put on a poker face .

"Yes I do. You better apologize to Anna for everything If you wish for a peaceful life in Harbor High."

"If anyone is going to apologize it better be you guys ."

Emily pulled her hand with a great force and Shawn let go of her hand at this moment . She fell back with great force . She groaned because of the pain wile everybody started laughing .

Emily slowly sat up and realized her mother's bracelet had broken into pieces .Emily was crestfallen . The only keepsake she had of her mother was shattered into pieces . She sat there numb for a long time . Everybody had left the class room since it was the time for Biology lab .

" Aww sweetie was it something precious to you ? Don't you worry I'll make sure all the things precious to you turn out like this ." Anna said as she walked away from the room.
