It was halfway through their destination. It was 9:30 in the evening, as Claude checked his golden watch. Layla was in the driver cab, taking control of the train. Gusion was still in the front, chatting with Layla.
"Hey Gus!" Claude shouted. "Get over here. We have lots to talk about!"
Gusion opened the door behind him. He saw Claude and Granger sitting in the floor, with a bunch of weapons and items scattered. Lesley and Ruby were sleeping in the seats.
"Damn. Where did you get all that?" Gusion asked.
"Come with me." Claude said.
Claude opened a door behind the train, and they passed through the gangway. He led him to the edge of the train, and he pointed to a train wagon.
"You see that train wagon there Gus?" Claude asked.
"Yeah." he replied.
"Let's go take a look shall we?"
As they went inside the train wagon, he saw loads and loads of baggage. It was actually military supplies that were supposes to be sent to Eruditio, during the project. The project Eruditio x Antoinerei failed, due to an unknown reason. These supplies were abandoned and not found for 30 years. As he opened one of the bags, he found some weapons, batteries, and even some clothes.
"What do you think?" Granger asked.
"Cool." he replied.
They scrambled for more and more stuff. Gusion got lots of guns used for spec-ops missions. Granger got lots of parts for machines and Claude took all the bronze coins, silvers and even some diamonds. As they kept searching, Claude heard a strange noise coming out from one of the bags.
"Do you hear that guys?"
"Yeah. What the hell was that?"
Claude began to scramble towards the noise. He threw and threw more bags on the ground, until he finds a broken audio recorder.
"Guys check this out."
Claude pressed the play button, and all of a sudden, a recording of a private conversation was heard.
Recording starts:
"So, these supplies are to support the soldiers from Eruditio right? You're saying it was abandoned for no reason"
"Yeah. Too bad this project didn't work thirty years ago."
"Well I hope this works!"
Gusion, Claude and Granger started to hear noises from someone who was hurting his own counterpart. They heard sounds of the stabbing of a knife, and a loud cry of pain.
"N-No please stop! Please stop this!"
"Hahahahaha! You think I was a real soldier? I was a spy all this time!"
"What are you talking about? Aren't you loyal to the Empire? Come on!"
"No I'm not."
They hear the guy taking off what seems to be a mask. He then started laughing maniacally.
"W-Wait! Y-You're Dyrotth! The Moniyan Prince!!!"
The guys started to attack the worker worse. He cut off his fingers, his eyes, and even his internal organs. Gusion and the two guys were in disgust.
"Don't you see this face??? This is what I become after thirty years after my death!"
Gusion's eyes widened, and his hands started shaking. Claude paused the recording for a moment.
"Gus, are you okay?" Claude asked.
"After death... This can't be happening..."
"Can we continue?"
"Y-Yeah... Sorry." Gusion replied.
Recording continues:
"N-No...It can't be!"
"It's me. Prince Dyrus of the Moniyan Empire. I was killed on my first birthday, and I was never accepted in my life!!! And now here I am, The Prince of the Dark Abyss!!! I've been wanting revenge for so long, and now I can destroy the Empire!!!"
"Please Dyrotth, please!!! It's not my fault!"
The Dyrotth guy killed the man at last. This place was actually last visited just 2 months ago, by Eruditio soldiers
"Eruditio, Antoinerei, Moniya. My path of despair shall begin!"
Recording ends*
Claude looked in the cornermost part of the wagon. To his surprise, he found a skeleton, which seemed to belong to the person in the recording. There were also lots of blood stains on the wall.
"God. An old story once told to me by my friend Fanny, it's become a nightmare!" Gusion said.
"Yeah. The only person who I know who could use necromancy was Vexana, queen of Necrokeep, and an enemy of both the Moniyan Empire and the Dark Abyss." Granger said.
"Let's go tell this to the others. As soon was we get to Eruditio, we can tell the authorities alright?" Claude said.
"Yeah."
And so the three went back to the passenger train and told to Layla. It was a dark dark night under an old subway. Weary and tired, Gusion lied on the chairs next to Lesley, and went to sleep.
