Ten years have passed since the Shadow Traitor wreaked havoc on the Order of the Scarlet Shadow and left Iga. With both the divided Shadow and Scarlet sects sending forth their best ninjas on a mission to hunt down and kill the traitor, the time of reckoning draws ever nearer.

And while the fulfillment of duties isn’t the only thing being sought for here, it is, unfortunately, the only thing that can be promised by the Shadow sect’s newly-appointed Shadow. That is, until an unexpected companion made him resort to a change in plans.
