"I can go." Chen Jun Tian volunteered to go look for their missing team leader.
"I'll go with you!" Fei Qing Niao excitedly jumped to his friend's side as Ao Xia Ming gave them a nod of approval.
"You boys are too reckless." Bai Ye Hua shook her head. "You stay. I'll go."
"I guess it's decided then." Xia Ming shrugged his shoulders. "Come here and help me make the stew, junior brothers."
Young lady Bai gave the three boys a questionable glare then went out of their courtyard in the direction of the training grounds. Hopefully they will not burn down the whole building with their cooking... She lets out a deep sigh as she walked away.
When she arrived at the training grounds, there were still many students practicing their swordsmanships and sparring with each other even though it was already nighttime. There were many glowing stones levitating in mid air all around them to illuminate the place but Ye Hua could not find the person she was looking for in this crowd of students.
"Have you seen Lin Han Xin?" Ye Hua approached a sturdy young man who was standing at the side, watching the others.
"I-I don't think so." The boy stuttered and blushed a bit at the sight of such a beautiful young lady. "I'm sorry..."
"Thank you." Ye Hua curtsied politely even though she was disappointed by his answer.
The young maiden then proceeded to ask a couple of other students around the training grounds but in the end, her search was futile as no one seemed to have the answer that she was looking for so she ended up walking around the whole campsite, trying to find her teammate. She did not know exactly where she was going but then she felt something slowly crawling out of her long sleeves when she arrived near a large forest behind the buildings.
"Mistress, he went that way." A small white snake called out in a language that only people from the main bloodline of the Bai family could understand, directing its mistress' gaze to a narrowed path that leads into the woods.
"Are you sure, Bai'er?" Ye Hua looked at the entrance of the pathway curiously.
"I can sense another serpent familiar there." The little white snake claimed confidently. It was a high ranked divine beast so naturally, it could sense another divine beast of the same origin as itself from a certain distance.
"Your instinct better not fail me, Bai'er." The young miss took in a deep breath before setting off into the forest.
"You can definitely trust me with this one!" The little snake said happily.
Bai'er was a divine beast that Ye Hua made a blood contract with when she was a child. Her parents were so happy when they learned that she managed to make a high ranked divine beast her familiar but they did not know that this small snake is kind of unreliable when making judging. Ye Hua did not know how many times did it bring troubles for her but she was also glad that it was her familiar since it actually helped her through many difficulties in the past.
Thousand of fireflies slowly flew up into the air as she walked alone through the pathway that was adorned with tall greeneries on each side until she finally arrived at small grass clearing. There, she saw a handsome youth laying on the rug-like grassy fields, looking up at the the dark blue sky overhead that was shimmering with multi-chromatic hues of the blazing bright stars. Her little white snake quickly went back inside of its hideout in her sleeves but the young maiden was too distracted to notice.
Sometimes, all you need was a simple moment like this where you can relieve all your stress. It was so calm that Ye Hua could easily hear his heavy breathing. Her heart rate sped up as she felt a current of heat rising towards her already blushing cheeks. Everything seemed so serene and cool and soon a warm and fuzzy feeling took over her heart.
Lin Han Xin could hear light footsteps walking towards his direction as he laid on the lush, grassy woodlands under the deep blue sky filled with celestial bodies. His familiar, a small green serpent, hissed at the presence of the uninvited guest, alerting its master who slowly titled his head to the side.
Han Xin noticed a familiar figure, who he did not expect to see, standing on the other side of the clearing. At that moment, his heartbeats were so loud that even she might have heard it.
"The others are looking for you..." She spoke softly, her silky black hair flowed gently with the mid-autumnal breeze as the starlight glimmered in her pleasing eyes that were as blue as the most valuable sapphire gems in the entire world.
"Alright." He flashed her a rare genuine smile as he stood up. It was suffocating, being pressured by his own feelings but he somehow have a feeling that this beautiful maiden in front of him had brought him an inexplicable warmth that could melt away the ice caps around his frozen heart.
Young master Lin was always full of mystery as he never expresses any emotion so his sudden action took Ye Hua completely by surprise. It made her happy when he smiled and she did not understand why her heart wouldn't stop racing as he walked towards her at all.
However, she abruptly felt as if all of her energy was slowly draining as her sturdy legs began to wobble. She was exhausted from setting up their courtyard and preparing the meat and vegetables for the stew, yet she hasn't noticed it until now. Her eyelids felt abnormally heavy and she was about to fall straight onto the grass. Ye Hua closed her eyes as she was mentally prepared for the impact with the hard soil but miraculously, she felt two strong arms taken a hold of her before she would fall face flat onto the ground.
"Are you feeling unwell?" Lin Han Xin's voice whispered into her ears as she felt his hot breath brushing against her temples. She hesitantly raised her head and was met with a pair of electric blue eyes staring at her with worries. Her brain had a hard time putting all the information in place but after a few good minutes, she started to understand the situation at hand and blushed furiously. Her face heated up so much that she thought there might be smoke coming out from the top of her head. With young master Lin still embracing her, she felt quite helpless as his arms wrapped tighter around her in order to ensure her balance.
The stars above them hung in the sky as if they were attached by invisible strings. It was like a promise of life in the infinite darkness, a sense of warmth springing from the cold breeze. Suddenly, their eyes caught the sight of a comet. It was like a dash of glitter on the velvet sky, enough to bring ideas of ascending the heavens to the watching youths. In their minds, they are already exploring the vast space from its brilliant surface of ethereal blue as new dreams slowly appeared up like freshly spun cotton candy. Then more meteors started to glide smoothly through the velvet darkness above them as if it was a shower of sparking starlights. It was the most beautiful art sculpted by divine hands, filling with in raw energy.
Bai Ye Hua's alluring figure with the addition of the idyllic scenery made Lin Han Xin lost control of his urges as he instinctively took a taste of her delicious-looking lips under the sky filled with stars and meteors. He has been trying his best to suppress his instincts from the moment he has set his eyes on her but her bewitching beauty has provoked his long lost cravings to its limits, making him wanting to do many obscene things with her all night.
Somewhere near the clearings where the two youths were kissing, a man with a tiger pendant hanging from his belt was hiding behind some bushes, anger stirring up the insides of his heart. After seeing the whole scene rolled out in front of his very own eyes, a surge of unyielding emotions took over him as he clenched his fist into a punch and hit the tree trunk that was on his right with all the force he had, trying to release out all the anger inside of him.
