After half an hour, Liu Rushi bid her friends goodbye and left the restaurant. Standing at the bus stop which was just in front of the restaurant, Liu Rushi waited for the bus to come.
She looked up. The weather was normal except for a few black clouds. 'It can rain anytime soon.' After a while, she again looked up. She didn't feel any sunshine on her and she noticed the sun hiding behind the clouds.
She looked sideways for the bus, but it hadn't come yet. 'I will get late if the bus doesn't come any sooner.' As she was thinking, a Royal Blue Audi stood in front of her. Liu Rushi took a step back.
"Hey, can't you see that I'm standing over here." Liu Rushi angrily yelled at the person. She couldn't see who was driving the car because the windows were tainted black. The window rolled down and a young man came in her view. "You are standing in the wrong place, Miss!" The man said.
Liu Rushi felt her blood boil as she heard him. 'F*ck. Just see his attitude.' Liu Rushi cursed inwardly. As if he had read her thoughts, the man mocked at her "No need to curse me, Miss."
"Who cursed at you? Did you hear anything from me?" Liu Rushi asked. She wasn't going to play dumb anymore.
Just as she was speaking, a waiter came from behind her holding coffee in his hand. He handed the coffee to the owner of the car and said "Please, order again, Mr. Ji" He then left.
The man took his coffee and safely secured it in the coffee spot available in the car. Pulling the window upward, he said "Have a good day, Miss." and drove away.
Liu Rushi looked at him with her mouth open. 'This man, really... Aishh. Are all men the same?" Getting on the bus which had stopped when she was looking at the car speed away, Liu Rushi took a front seat.
Her Dad's company wasn't that far from the restaurant which she had visited. It just took her 30 minutes to reach as it was a no-rush hour. However, she still was late by 2 minutes.
The new interns of the office were to report to the CEO of the company on their first day. Liu Rushi sighed as she saw the company's name written in big bold letters. ''LM ENTERPRISE" She read the name loud.
Stopping in front of the entrance, she tapped lightly on her beating chest and said 'Hello to my first day.' As the doors opened, she was greeted by a man, he was the same man with whom she had a fake blind date - Mr. Feng Xinglang.
Liu Rushi greeted Mr. Feng and he took her to the CEO's room. Knocking on the door, she heard a warm voice from the inside. "Good morning." Liu Rushi said as she stepped inside the room.
Her Dad welcomed her. "RuRu, you are here." He looked at the time on his wristwatch and said "You are two minutes late, my dear."
Liu Rushi sat on the sofa and took a deep breath. She scoffed as she remembered what happened back at the bus stop. She answered angrily "Yeah, Dad. The bus came late." Liu Rushi kept the talk to herself and just told a fair lie.
'It isn't at all considered a lie, is it? Partially the bus was late too.' She thought.
Talking through the intercom, her dad called out for Feng Xinglang. And seconds later, Mr. Feng came knocking on the door. "Yes, Sir?" He asked.
"Show, Liu Rushi her place."
"Dad! You don't need to treat me as your daughter over here. I want the same treatment as colleagues working in the company." Liu Rushi stated her thoughts. She didn't like it when she was to get treated wisely or good in front of her subordinates. She wanted to experience life just like a colleague and not like a businessman's heir or daughter.
Liu Jiangou very well knew his daughter's intention. He agreed to her without any delay "Fine. Do as you like. But remember you have chosen this upon yourself. If something goes wrong and you are to be blamed, I won't be lenient on you."
Liu Rushi smiled as she heard her father. "Don't worry, Dad! Oops, I mean, Sir." She corrected her words and gave a light laugh.
She bowed them both and exited the room. As she was leaving she heard her father ask Feng Xinglang "Did you find any person who is willing to work as a Manager in the Marketing Department?"
'Manager for Marketing Department? Isn't that the department in which I'm going to work for?' Liu Rushi asked herself dazed.
"Hope it turns out to be a good person rather than someone strict." She crossed her fingers and hoped that the person who would come as her manager would be someone good, not too lenient neither too strict. Half of her heart even wished for a man rather than a woman.
And who would have thought that her prayers were to be answered?
