I heard it loud and clear but the sense of looming danger prevented me from responding.

'Damn you cursed system.' was all I could think.

My hands tensed and I look at the sword with a determined look saying, "X-Caliber, we live together and die together, just like in the past."

By the time I finished speaking the door was almost half open while two balls of fire looking into my direction.

Inside the entrance, every thing was dark and as I could see a huge figure was present in the dark.

Suddenly, the big balls of fires moved towards the towards the door.

'Why the hell do I keep having the feeling of familiarity?'

'Have I seen the fallen dragon?'

Slowly the balls of fire moved towards the opening and I took a stance with the sword at the front.

The thumping sound got closer and closer echoing through the hall.

When the gates were almost completely open, the red eyes seemed to have become even bigger and eventually, a ferocious looking dragon head popped out of the darkness.

I was shocked to the point where I almost coughed up blood and died.

Almost Vantablack scales. A crimson mark below the left eye. A blue ring on the right horn.

- Gave it a weird but intimidating look but that wasn't what shocked me.

Why was I shocked?

Because this was way too familiar.

"Ruanna?"I subconsciously said.

The dragon seemed to be puzzled. Its eyes squinted and looked at me weirdly.

"Puny human, dares to call my name?"

I was taken aback. It seems it really is you.

A single laugh was heard.

I inwardly cursed the system unceasingly thus, 7 of my attributes were deducted for 'unintentional' cursing.

Then I had an idea.

'System, does petting count as subduing?'

It didn't respond.

"What are you spacing out for, monkey born?"

"Wait up, stinky lizard. I am thinking something."

I said mockingly.

"*cough* Past was in the past. Okay, for our past friendship I will let you touch my head but no other soul must find out about what happened in the past."

My smile almost burst out of the armor.

I expected to be thrown off, cursed at and even bitten to death. The thing that happened was unexpected though.

Following that, a blush sort of appeared on its face which looked completely strange and it subconsciously lowered its head.

Suddenly I fell down. I felt a lot weaker and dizzy.

I shook my head and looked at the front while patting my butt.
