Esmeralda grunted a little before she got up as she heard the doors creaked open and Vale came in. "Yes? Do you need something?", she yawned.
Vale said nothing and tossed her a bag.
She caught it with one hand and ripped it open from the opening. "Demon Shoes, Concentrated Energy, Ice Queen Wand, Elegant Gem, Calamity Scythe, Clock of Destiny, Windtalker, Endless Battle, Han's Claws, Hunter 's Strike. Wow, you have seriously outside yourself this time by getting all my favourites."
Again he said nothing but smugged at her compliment. "Thanks. But do you really think that I'll accept them all?"
His smug disappeared and Esmeralda chuckled at his cute reaction. "Fine, just a few. Enough for eight just in case.", she said as she packed it with the rest of her stuff. That was when Vale finally broke the silence.
"You'll come back right? To the Academy I mean.", he hesitated.
"Of course. It's just a little trip to Minos', it may take a few months or years. But you'll manage right? It's not like you don't have any sparring partners left after I'm gone.", she said without taking even a look at him. "I mean you do have...", she stopped halfway after she heard the whooshing sounds of the wind and looked at where he was standing before.
"Gone like the wind, huh.", she sighed with the background of the morning bells tolling.
"Well.", she heaved as she strapped the casket to her back. The young jet black haired girl pushed her door open. She sighed again before she gave her room one last look and closed it shut.
She walked painstakingly to the top of the walls with guards greeting her as she walked by.
"Good morning, Esmeralda. Do you need us to open the gates?", they stammered.
"No, this will do.", she said as she looked down below and took a step forward. The guards stood there stupidly and rushed to the edge to watch her land on her feet and walked like nothing happened.
"Wow. My goddess.", one of them just blurted out. Esmeralda just strode on the rocky and sandy road dyed brownish red by onslaughts on those who dared to attack. She glanced at the horizon one last time before she whispered, "Goodbye." and pulled the hood to her face.
