I Miss You Too

Valir held the hood of the cloak closer to his face, in hopes of not getting spotted by the patrolling minions. He couldn't be bothered to get caught now when it was the most crucial moment, not when The Pact was being made again. When all the world knew him as the runaway Prince, and though he wanted a rematch with Vale. He didn't want to bear the responsibility anymore. He clenched his teeth by the thought of it then walked faster. Then, someone spoke to him.

"Valir!", said a voice from above.

Valir's heart froze for awhile, terrified by the stranger who called out to him, beads of sweating dropping with the help of gravity. He tried to act as normal as he can, but as the footsteps and sound of heavy armour came closer he clicked his tongue.

*Out of all things a tank? I can't possibly waste my mana now, not when The Pact is tomorrow. I'll just have to shake him off. Tanks are slow right?*, he thought to himself before he sprinted and ran as far as his legs could take him.

Wrong. As he ran, he could hear the clicks and clanks of heavy armour as the stranger tried to catch up with him. He took a sharp turn, then another but no matter how much he stopped, hid, turned, jumped and disguised. The stranger would start chasing him once again after he made another move. Finally, he hit a dead end. Valir took in breath and breath, as he thought of ways out, but then finally convinced himself to face the stranger as he saw nothing. He had to make a bet. If he was alone, then he could knock him out but if he wasn't then may Harper bless him. But who he saw wasn't what he expected.

Vale didn't expect news so fast from Zilong when he only had asked him a few hours ago. But as soon as he got a message from his initiator, he ordered the winds to take him where he was. Leaving behind a startled crowd and gusts of dust. Vale landed, scattering a few leaf piles on the ground before walking straight up to Zilong. As Valir saw Vale, he had a look of guilt and joked, "Geez, you didn't have to bring him too. I could have seen him tomorrow."

"Valir.", he whispered.

Vale stood there stupefied, finding it hard to believe the unbelievable. After all, he had tried so hard over the years searching for him but all it took for him to be found was to be asked. Perhaps now he should really consider on making more friends.

"Are you serious right now?", Valir said in a tone that was dead serious. "Is that all you want to say after I've left?"

Then he avoided eye contact and stayed silent like a little boy who got caught red handed. It wasn't before Vale rushed forward and hugged him did he change that expression.

"I miss you too.", Valir whispered letting the water streak down his face.
