Sudden

The same round military base, with the same old witty AI, Asuka.

"Don't ask me why, I don't know." Upon entering the military base, Asuka's first sentence cleared all doubts in Alex's heart.

Alex wanted to rant but he shook his head helplessly, he can't always get angry with a computer, it'll end him nowhere.

"The Germans have already launched the All-out counterattack. If you can persist until the arrival of reinforcements, you should be able to escape."

The words of Asuka made a vein appear on Alex's forehead again. "Out of danger? Out of Danger?! Can't I just stay here? Is there any other place safer than inside the base?"

"Don't you forget about Halal Farmer outside, and those people who are doing everything possible to rescue you.."

This sentence from Asuka made Alex silent as he pondered and after a few moments, he said.

"Tell me something good in the current situation"

"This time, the weapons you used on the battlefield that should not have appeared in this space and time, will soon attract the attention of the intelligence agencies of both sides as the Germans and British both have spied on either side and as far as the data shows, they have already acted. I need you to solve this trouble…" Asuka replied flatly, not taking into account the feelings of Alex at all.

"How to solve it?" Alex replied with a revived spirit. After all, it was his cover as the identity of Wernst Gustav, else he would be implicated with complicated events if ever his 'secrets' were found by even one of the two sides.

"Your supplies and briefing documents for this mission is ready and is already placed in your personal cache"

Complying Asuka's words, Alex went to another room marked as his personal room and walked towards an Alien-looking strongbox defined as his cache.

He opened the strongbox with the proper authorization protocols (Fingerprints, Voice recognition, and Optical scanning).

-Authorization Complete. Welcome Operator.-

The Strongbox hologram sounded as a series of advanced interconnected locks unlock itself one by one as it finally shows what is inside. A bag of supplies, two sets of wrapped documents (one marked in red and the other in blue), and a small unknown box.

Alex picked up the bag of supplies and the 2 sets of packed 'intelligence reports' as raised his eyebrows in question as he picked up the small box.

The box contains a variety of beards, glasses, and some unknown pigments for makeup.

"This is for your disguise. There are two sets of uniforms over your designated wardrobe. A piece of advice, when you see the British, wear the German military uniform, and when you see the Germans, wear the British uniform. The red-marked information is for the British, while the blue-marked is for the Germans." Asuka continued as Alex sorted out his loadout.

"You are quite good in twisting information, Asuka," Alex smirked as he applied a pigment of unknown paints to his face, put on his beard, put on his glasses, and took a look at the mirror. It really became different from his previous appearance.

"Okay then.... how is this mission done?"

"It's very simple, I will tell you their meeting will be. Your task is to pretend to be the British's senior spy 'Windigo' and then pretend to be a German senior spy 'Farmer'. You will get into their course of action, but first, you must kill the real spies first, first meet British then, meet the Germans, and give them the information they need."

"....." Alex was speechless.

Simple? In what way did this sound so simple?

As long as there is the slightest mistake in this, it will be all over. And killing two spies separately, the perfect timing must be grasped.

Alex did not even think before about going to pretend to be a spy someday.

"It has been twenty minutes. From the current time, you still have two hours and forty minutes to complete the task. After the time is up, I will order Gargantua Military Base to launch a 'Gustav' Railway Artillery barrage to their designated positions, which will cause the German and British spy groups to be decimated by the artillery. And with the illusion of death, it will cover up the truths…"

"And if I haven't finished the mission in the designated time?"

"Then you better ask for good luck" Asuka's heartless voice sounded as 'she' continued "I will order a precision strike. If you have not evacuated by then, your survival rate is less than 5.57%."

Alex put on the German military uniform, picked up the British military uniform and the two pieces of intelligence. "When can you understand human feelings? In this strange place, the tricks are varied, how do you look forward to the future if I am dead? After the I complete this mission, I have minded my own ideas. Why can't you save me? Why do you want me to complete these inexplicable tasks? Ah, don't tell me you don't know. ..."

"I don't know." Sure enough, Asuka said in a cold tone: "If you start moving now, you should arrive in the position in two minutes."

When Alex will reach the position, he had to face a new challenge.

When he left the military base, he sighed as he said "Asuka, how good would it be if you could become a living person?"

Not waiting for Asuka to reply, he left the base.

....

Lurking at the meeting location, Alex quietly watched everything in front. He is not sure if the mission will be successful. After all, this is completely different from man-to-man shooting.

Time passed by minute by minute, each minute pass by closer to the time Asuka would bomb the location. Alex was nervous and he cursed as he found that being a spy is not so good. Those movies about special agents getting the good stuff lied!!!

Then a figure appeared in the eyes of Alex…

That is a German officer! As he approached this position, he kept looking around, fearing what would happen.

That is Senior spy of the British intelligence agency – "Windigo"!

When the 'German' officer came to the meeting location, he looked quite irritated and looked around, only seeing nothing and no one.

He was upset as plucked a cigarette and put it to his lips.

This information he has in arms is really important, and there must be no room for mistakes!

He has lurked for so long in the Germans. An important piece of German intelligence has flowed out from the German Staffs and he caught a whiff of it, but... his identity is not known to any German, even the British intelligence agencies except several top brasses know about him.

He came out on this venture personally, in order to send this top-secret information. He didn't have much time for himself as he was just taking advantage of the time of the German counterattack, he slipped out and had to go back within an hour, otherwise, he would be exposed.

Why did the people he was supposed to meet still not have come?

The officer took out the match and lit it, then got it on the cigarette on his lips…

At this time, a figure flew out of hiding. Under the circumstances that the 'German' officer did not have time to react, a strong arm hung around his neck.

The officer struggled desperately, but he couldn't get rid of it the choke… Gradually, the officer's body softened and became motionless, the cigarette that had not yet been lit fell to the ground…

It took a little more effort to make sure that the officer had died and Alex let loose of his arm.

As the body was about to fall to the ground, Alex dragged the body and quickly hid it to the place he was hiding. He then found intelligence on the body of the said 'German' officer and looked at it and then he chuckled, all of it was just about himself.

"Lieutenant Wernst Gustav, the Third Company commander of the Bavarian 16th Infantry Regiment Camp … seized a British Tank group and destroyed the Prince Soberk camp… The Germans did not provide Tank support.."

Fortunately, this information did not fall into the hands of the British.

Alex then lit the document with the still-burning match and watched the information slowly turn into a pile of ashes.

The "Windigo", a poor British Senior spy, a person lurking for so long in the Germans, all but ended his spy mission in such a way.
