Louise Van Hill

Feeling satisfied by her choice of outfit today, she went to her mirror next to put on her makeup. The owner of the body was naturally good at applying makeup, so it becomes natural as well. She habitually emphasized every outstanding feature on her face. No wonder so many men was fascinated. She was definitely a beauty.

"Knock, knock"

"Come in," Sheri bluntly spoke.

The maid walked inside never dared to raise her face to look at the Madam. She nearly stuttered when she started talking.

"Madam, Sir is waiting for you." The maid informed.

Sheri glanced at the frightened maid and noticed her trembling hands.

'How bad does the owner of the body treat her attendants, that even a servant allegedly starts to shudder whenever they saw her.' Sheri shook her head at the thought.

"Alright, I'm coming,"

She finished up by spraying perfume but bitterly regretted it. The overpowering scent was terribly strong unlike what she properly used in her old life. Luckily, she just sprinkled on her wrist. She instantly ran toward the washroom to wipe it off. In the end, she just sprayed a bit on her neck not to be out of character.

The innocent maid waited attentively at the door. This day, she felt like there was something amiss with her Madam. She shut herself in her room the whole day and never asked for anyone. She never even tried to find any fault at her. Most of the time, she would lash at her out of nothing. In the present circumstance, she emitted an aura that was sympathetic and a kind Madam. After thinking too much, she came to the conclusion that she might be paranoid about wanting this Madam of her to have a nice and good personality.

Sheri grabbed her channel clutch and gathered her phone, her small makeup and made sure that she had her own bank card just in case of possible emergencies, placing them all inside her clutch. With a last glance of her overall look, she walked out of her room.

The maid silently followed along and was keen on not lifting her head to glance at her. Sheri also had been silent the whole time, still thinking about her mission and her old life.

She leisurely walked along with the grand foyer, familiarizing herself with her surroundings. At the door, parked a black tinted Mercedes car. The driver was standing respectfully at one of the side doors waiting politely for her. She walked slowly and on cue, the chauffeur gently opened the door for her to climb in. As she was settled, she looked up and saw her husband seated at ease browsing thoughtfully at the official document in his hand. He took a quick look at her and went back to what he's doing.

It just took a mere second of glance but it immediately made her dreadfully shocked the moment she laid eyes on that face of her so-called husband. A violent burst of painful images appeared in her head, chilling her spine and a familiar feeling of fear suddenly burst in her chest. She winced and gripped her trembling hands. He looked like Eric but not Eric. They had the same chiseled body, nut-brown hair, a tall nose, and sharply defined features. Eric's eyes were a light brown while this man's eye was black. Eric had curly hair but Henry had arranged hair. Eric didn't wear eyeglasses, this guy was wearing one right now. After carefully observing, she eventually calmed down. He was not Eric. Perhaps they were splitting images in terms of their body features but the rest was not.

"Looked enough?" his cold voice rang.

Sheri felt terribly embarrassed, heat rushed to her face making it all red. She immediately turned her face to the visible window and looked over the view outside. She felt so stupid and ashamed at the same time.

Unknown to her, Henry's lips slightly turned upwards.

It took twenty minutes of silence before they arrived at the Bacht Mansion. It was a well designed European mansion. For Sheri, this luxurious place was not new to her and even the personal wealth the body possessed was not something new to her.

They got out of the car and were led to the dining area. Both their parents were already present. Even though Henry was adopted, he was still nonetheless considered as part of the Bacht family.

The elder guy carefully looked at the two familiar people who just arrived.

Sheri stealthily approached her so-called parents and kissed them on their cheek. Afterward, she bowed politely in front of the elders and her inlaws. This was their standard greetings in the family. She followed how the real Louise did in greeting her parents and the family of Henry. Henry also performed the same, and they sat down after on their respective seats.

"Good, good, now we can start eating. Serve the meal." The benevolent patriarch right away ordered the maids. Several maids came in carrying the dishes.

While eating the patriarch of the family spoke.

"Henry, Louise, it's almost a year now that both of you got married. When will we see a grandchild?"

Henry slowly put down his knife and fork and slowly wiped his lips.

"Grandfather, this thing should not be rushed. We are still young." Henry respectfully said.

The patriarch looked at his grandson and furrowed his brows.

"What young, both of you are almost in your 30's. All of your longtime friends at present were already having three or four children. Louise, what are your private thoughts about this? When are you willingly giving us grandbabies?" The patriarch shifted his gaze at her.

Sheri stopped chewing and peered carefully at Henry. In the story, she agreed to give birth to children because of her parents' blackmailing her but that would only happen after five years. She unhurriedly chewed her food and wiped her mouth.

Everybody ceased and looked at the lady who was elegantly wiping her lips.

"We will make sure you will have one by next year grandfather," She answered gently.

Everybody in the dining room was shocked, not a single sound could be heard. Every eye was still staring at her. Even the composed Henry halted his actions and looked at her.

A hearty laugh gently broke the quietness and awkwardness of the room. The patriarch can't contain his joy. The elders looked with all smiles at each other.

"Hear that Henry, you better work this evening." The Patriarch said.

Sheri gawked at Henry wanting to know his answer. His eyebrow lifted up while carefully looking at her beautiful face, he paused and steadily took the wine glass.

"Affirmative, grandfather your grandson will definitely make sure you will have a great-grandson by next year," He gently said and slowly consumed his wine.

Everybody in the room smiled and genuinely pleased with what they heard.
