~SCREEEEECH~
Jenna's hand clutched the seat of the car in fear of her life. Eyes wide at Soo Hyun with fear, he laughed aloud at her.
"Pfft! No worries! I was just practicing a couple of moves!" He unbuckled her seat belt as she was just staring at him in shock while out of breath and then went to unbuckle himself.
"You call that PRACTICING?! I'd call that driving into your own GRAVE!" Throwing open the door, Jenna leaped out before Soo Hyun could say anything else. The ground was like the taste of bliss for her after his speeding, reckless swerving, and drifting.
"Of all the things drifting in local streets!!!???" Jenna huffed out.
"My bad, my bad." He walked right up to his house and opened it without using a key.
"You don't lock the door?" She looked at him and thought he was just plain crazy. He doesn't drive safe and doesn't care about getting robbed. She hoped she wouldn't find someone hiding inside with a knife.
"Nothing to steal here except a couple of boxers." He smirked and walked ahead while giving her a brief tour of his one bedroom apartment. The place wasn't too shabby looking except for the mess of his clothes and knick knacks littered throughout the ground and furniture. Picking her feet up daintily, she seated herself on a white, wooden chair that looked clean.
"I can see why." Jenna rolled her eyes at him. Soo Hyun had always been terrible with getting organized, what with the look of his folder in class. "Pffft. I'm not helping you if you can't help yourself." With a gesture at his place, she stood up. She had only taken one step forward when he pushed her back down with both hands on her shoulder.
"Yah. You stay right there. I'll clean this mess in a second." Soo Hyun whipped around and started bulldozing through the mess.
"I'm not feeling anything right now. No feelings." Those were Jenna's thoughts in her head as she felt slightly touched at him actually cleaning with just her mentioning it once. As he cleaned, she drifted away into her thoughts. "Tired..Ploop. Gotta go home and cook still. Hungry. I wonder if he has anything to eat." She suddenly jerked her face back when she realized how Soo Hyun was but an inch away from her face gazing intently.
"I was wondering when you'd notice. You looked pretty cute lost in your thoughts! Hmm. You should be careful I could read you like a book." Soo Hyun got up from crouching in front of Jenna and disappeared. "Eat this." He threw something that blurred in the air.
Chhhh~
Jenna caught the wrapper and nodded thankfully at him. Biting into the chocolate bar, she quietly observed Soo Hyun. He had grabbed his math assignments and sat staring hard at them as if the answers would magically appear. He was staring so intently it was almost cute.
"That's not gonna work. Answers don't appear out no where with just a stare!" She laughed at him with raised eyebrows. Feeling at ease and comfortable, she plopped down next to him in the adjacent seat.
"That's where you come in!" He turned his head while smiling widely at Jenna.
"You idiot. Alright, time to work!" Pointing things out at his difficulties with his math problems, he nodded and asked questions. Sometimes throwing in silly jokes like 'If you were my calculator, you could calculate all my problems for me right?' and she would whack him in the shoulder playfully.
"Last problem! Hey, doesn't that look like the answer?" Soo Hyun moved in closer to his paper and blocked the view.
"YAH! Move over you fatty! Let me see!" She squashed her face next to his, and he pointed at faint gray lines etched in the paper. "Wait..That's not the answer, that's your ugly doodles!" She turned her face up to him, catching her breath as she realized how close she was to his face.
"Oh! Oops!" He laughed and stopped as soon as he turned to Jenna, realizing how close in proximity the two of them were. His eyes were so bright she thought, so black. Soo Hyun inched closer, covering all the space left in between the two. In a quiet whisper that sounded so loud to her ears, he whispered out.
"Thanks for tutoring me."
