Do I have a Crush?

Mishika had the best sleep last night and today she woke up on time.

Mishika is feeling a new energy in herself and she don't know why is that.

Today Mishika want to get ready but in more proper way and different from usual.

Sakshi and Zeeva enters Mishika's room and they are shocked to see how much efforts she is putting into getting ready for college.

"Don't you think something is different today Sakshi?" Zeeva says in a funny tone.

"You don't need to put so many efforts to get something out of me girls." Mishika answers smiling.

Zeeva and Sakshi are looking at Mishika. They are hanging on to the every word of Mishika.

"Well last night I.........." Mishika stopped before completing her sentence.

"Last night I what???" Sakshi and Zeeva yell in chorus.

"I sent him a. friend request. He accepted, we talked and we exchanged phone numbers." Mishika tells everything in a single breath.

"Wait what? Who is he here?" Sakshi ask with a doubtful face.

"Max!!!" Mishika replies with a low voice.

Zeeva and Sakshi are stunned with the revelations.

"You guys have already exchanged your numbers!!" Sakshi yells with mix emotions of excitement and nervousness.

Mishika is nervous now because even she is not aware of her actions anymore.

To control the situation Mishika says, "I only added him just to tease you Sakshi."

"Okay it's your choice no one is asking you to explain hun!" Zeeva says softly.

The three girls left the house for the college. Sarah is waiting for them at the college entrance.

"My my Today sun must have risen from west. You girls are on time." Sarah says laughing.

The four of them comes for a group hug and enters the college.

Today it's a free day after the election and the girl squad is sitting in canteen.

"Mish wants to tell you something Sarah." Sakshi says with an evil grin.

Sarah is intrigued with Sakshi's grin and Mishika's nervous face.

Mishika tells about the friend request and number exchange with Max.

Sakshi, Sarah and Zeeva are looking at each other with grin on their face.

Mishika notice that and add, "it is nothing major okay."

Sakshi and others look at each other and starts laughing.

Later that day...

Mishika and others are running here and there in the college to get done with their college ID card.

Just then Megha appear as a lifesaver.

Megha is with Sandy and a new boy.

"Girls meet my new friend Patrick!" Megha introduce the boy.

The squad meet them and to their surprise Megha already has her new ID card with her.

"How the hell did you get it already. We are running around the college and still didn't get it" Mishika ask with sigh.

"Well Patrick is friends with one of the influential person from the winning political party so he has his own ways to get it done easily." Megha winks at Mishika.

Suddenly Patrick intervene with his friendly or should say over friendly tone, "You didn't got your card yet baby?"

Mishika is surprised with the way Patrick is talking.

"Wooh slow down stranger. Yes we didn't got our cards yet." Mishika answers warily.

"Give me the slip I will get your cards. Go enjoy your day." Patrick replies with proudy grin.

Mishika and others are looking at each other with wide eyes.

"Really???" They ask in chorus.

Patrick laughs with their question in chorus and left with their slips.

Mishika and others also left to sit somewhere. They are tired of running today.

Mishika's mind again started racing. She haven't seen Max today and she wants to see him.

While Sarah and Sakshi are teasing her because it was crystal clear on Mishika's face.

"Someone is having a crush on Max!" They laughs.

"No ways we are just friends nothing more." Mishika replies instantly.

Mishika is saying this line continuously that even she don't know if she is trying to convince them or herself that she is not developing a crush on Max.

Suddenly Zeeva enters the room gasping for breath.

"What happened? Why are you running like a lunatic babe?"Mishika and others laugh.

"I just saw Max and he is wearing white colour and looking damn hot." Zeeva replies in hurry.

Mishika's heart is racing now. Just by hearing Max's name her heart starts pounding in her chest.

Sakshi and Zeeva yells with excitement, "Let's go Mish and meet him. You two are friends now after all." The three girls says this with a devilish smile.

Mishika's eyes goes wide. Her hands are sweating now.

"No we are not going to meet him just like that." Mishika answers while fiddling with her hairs.

"Mish he is not gonna eat you dummy." Sarah says seriously.

Before Mishika could reply Sakshi yells, "Mish he is leaving the canteen. We don't have much time. Do you want to meet him?" She asked in hurry.

"Yeeahh! but it scares me." Mishika replies nervously.

Sarah take Mishika's hand and lead her out of the room where Max was standing.

Mishika is shivering with nervousness. Max notice the squad coming towards him.

He has his charming smile on his face.

"Hey Max!" Zeeva and Sarah greet him with smile.

"Hello girls how are you?" Max replies with his smile.

Mishika is fiddling with her hairs and looking down nervously.

"Well we just wanted to meet you. Right Mish?" Sarah says while pushing Mishika forward.

"Oh Hey Mish or should I say Mishika. We talked last night right?" Max ask causally.

"Yeahhh we did." Mishika answers still looking down.

There is a complete silence. The situation is getting more awkward for Mishika and now for others as well.

To keep continuing the conversation, Sarah says with her sharp smile, "White suits you Max."

Max look at Sarah in a different way. Mishika is not able to interpret that face of Max as she is enough embarrass with the current situation.

"Thank you miss...?" Max says with questioning eyes.

"Oh sorry I am Sarah." She says smiling.

Max surprise everyone by a tight handshake with Sarah.

"Hey Sarah! Nice to meet ya. You are looking good too."

Mishika's heart is shattered into pieces because Max didn't paid her this kind of attention the way he is giving to Sarah.

She notice both of them smiling to each other.

"Well I have to go somewhere will you girls mind if I leave?" Max ask while looking at Sarah.

"Ugh no please you can leave that's fine." Mishika and Zeeva replies.

Zeeva sensed Mishika's sadness already.

As the day ends Mishika is not feeling good or happy anymore. Max didn't even looked at her properly.

Suddenly her phone buzz. It's a message from Zeeva.

"Tell me what's going on in your mind right now Mish." Zeeva ask seriously.

"Woho No hi hello and only a question!" Mishika replies, trying to sound normal.

"I asked you something now tell me. I know something is going on in your little mind." Zeeva replies with an authorative tone.

"Okay yes I am sad because Max didn't even showed any interest in me." Mishika finally opens up.

"Why it is affecting you so much babe? You said he is just a friend." Zeeva ask in a tender tone.

"I don't know Zeeva I am feeling so heart broken. I don't even know that guy and still." Mishika replies when a tear comes rolling down her cheeks.

Zeeva already understood what's going on with Mishika.

"Mish baby you have a crush on Max that's why he is affecting you so much" Zeeva replies.

Mishika read the message again and again. She doesn't reply to her but she keeps reading that message.

"Am I really having a crush on a guy who I met a day before?" Mishika ask herself with shock.

Suddenly her phone beeps again but this time it's not a message from Zeeva but from Max.

Mishika forgets about everything and open up the message. It's a quote stating, "Meeting up some people unexpectedly is the best thing."

Mishika reads the quote and her tears and sadness fades away in a second.

She is smiling. Smiling like a baby who got their favorite chocolate.

Mishika's eyes goes to the mirror in front of her and she sees herself smiling.

She stands up and goes to the mirror. It's not a usual smile. It's different today.

She touches her cheeks, they are red as an apple.

"I am blushing!" She gasp and start smiling again.

Now Mishika knows that Zeeva was right. She has a crush on Max and it's going to be a different journey for her.
