Rachel walked down the decrypted stairs, she paused when she saw the back of the women. With long dirty blonde hair, the air around her was familiar and most importantly the scent.....Rose.
She stopped hearing everything not even Elfin panicking and the moment the women turned, and it seemed she was taken away. Violet eyes, but the face was like hers but more mature and in full bloom.
Rachel, could not help but imagine that this is what she would have looked like if she had lived. When it suddenly went dark for her.
"…." Ariawyn stepped back with shock, she wasn't fully understanding what happened. "What happened?" she whispered quietly.
[Sorry, I had to shut her off]
"Why?" it wasn't just her who asked, but the women to.
[I think you know why?] Elfin responded back, but that left only Ariawyn confused but the women on the opposite end silent as she disappeared.
"Elfin?" Ariawyn frowned inwardly.
[Sorry, But I think you should continue.]
"….." Before she could say anything, she heard the footsteps behind, she sighed and pressed forward for what Rachel was curious at. She opened the doors to this old room covered in cobwebs.
She saw a throne and skeleton, what caught her eyes was a ring, not the gold or money or anything just this one ring. She moved forward. "Elfin, what is this." She asked softly. She pulled the solid silver ring and felt the engravings.
[An engagement Ring.]
"Well, it obviously doesn't belong here…. But, it has so much emotion belonging to it." Ariawyn couldn't help but touch, her cold face showed and inch of softness. "Such love"
"You, Thank you for saving Us." The youthful Hero said to her.
Ariawyn clenched onto the ring and with knowing it was on finger. She looked at the hero. She nodded before walking past him and her expression went stiff. As she took off out of the ruins.
"..." She jumped up into the trees, her face was slightly flushed when she was alone. But then it returned to being pale and frosty. "the power of fate Is really strong."
[Does it worry you? Are you conflicted?"]
"I am a Princess, I am Royalty and I have the pride of my country and my people behind me. I get wanting to save the world. But, I find it difficult to understand why I am a part if such a situation.
Where I must fight for common human's attention. Regardless of whether he is a hero or not. Why would I disregard my country for love."
[Is that your reasoning for disliking your brother's companion.]
"You must think me awful" Ariawyn began to say as she stepped off and headed towards a hidden spring. "My brother wishes to marry a human, a race with a significantly shorter life space then ours. Such short life they have will only end in misery.
But, I can see my brother truly does love this human and the human does as well. As a sister I could not be more heart warmed for my brother.
However, I cannot overlook that fact that my brother's choices will cause so much harm. Following Ture Love or Duty has always been a debating topic among elves.
Commoners are marveled that my brother won't take another lover and will only have his human lover for a lifetime. While Nobles, are terrified of the consequences and have been pleading with my father to take his crown prince status. But if that status is taken away. The Commoners will revolt.
My brother and I are the only pure-blooded Elves, and only a pureblood can inherit the throne. The Xustron Tree will allow pureblooded elves of the royal family to inherit. "
[Don't get to emotional, you still have full control of Rachel's powers. It's starting to cause damage.]
Ariawyn stopped and looked behind her with reddish eyes, the trees and plants looked like they where torn apart by some beast. She looked down and pulled on a desperate face.
"My People…." She started to say, as the branch on the tree snapped and she let herself fall. "Cannot Survive without the Xustron tree" She said looked through the glare of sunlight shimmering through the trees. "Before, if I hadn't encountered Rachel, and my other selves. I would have gladly severed my connection with the tree for his happiness. I believed that we could survive, but reality is cruel." She stood up and walked to the sparkling lake.
[Will you follow the story?]
"Do I have a choice; this world may perish. If the orchestrator is not pleased." She bit her lip. "Can you tell? How did Rachel plan to save my People? Did she have a way?"
