Excerpt :-
"Let me shield you from the rain, even if I couldn't, then let me soak in the rain with you",we're the words Brian told Lily on that night while shielding her from the rain.

 'I don't want anything more than that, more than you!' were the words that stuck in his throat but he couldn't voice them out. 

Lily looked up, and said, "You want to save me? From rain?" and laughed sarcastically "People who are already drenched, can't be saved. So don't waste your time".
And she left.

Brian slowly looked at the petite figure walking in the rain and sighed. He left his umbrella on a bench and walked behind her. He was going to stay true to his words, even if he couldn't save her, he'd drench with her.



Synopsis - 

Unlike others, her fight was not with others but with her own.
 Her own family whom she loved and cherished pushed her into the dark abyss with no return. 

Lily Jones, was the epitome of an elegant lady with a pure heart, but something changed her forever. Once a sweet little carring girl was now a stone cold hearted woman with now warmth in her heart. Or is it a facade just to shield herself from the vicious world. 

But even this cold hearted woman had a die hard admirer, Brian Green. The youngest and most respected cardiac surgeon in Country A. 
Will he be able to thaw the cold heart of lily? Or will he be left with a burn for the rest of his life?

Is a love story really possible amongst the two people with opposite personalities, a famous doctor and a fierce businesswoman?
What will the fate bring to the lives of one who doesn't believe in love or affection, who only believes that every thing had a price while the other who is the epitome of happiness, who's life depends on love.
 
Will both of them fall in love? 

Or 

Fate will play a cruel joke on both of them?

No usual plots but a simple story of two people who will go to lengths just to be together.

Her Bane or Destiny ?

Lily was drowned in her thoughts, when a pleasent tone brought her out of her stupor and she saw her phone ringing. 


She saw the screen of her phone and her lips turned into an arc and she cheerfully answered the call, "Hey Amelia, Noah, how are you guys?" 


Unlike her pleasant tone, what greeted her ears was a sharp shrill and irritated voice, "You dare ask us how we are? If you are so concerned why didn't you call me for two days, two long days?" 


While lily sighed at the tantrums of her best friend Amelia, her other friend was chuckling, and that's when  someone's attention turned on him, "You dare laugh? Huh! Noah Wilson, you haven't called me for last five days, where were you huh? Apparently hooking up with some weird girl!" 


" Hey hey, hold your horses queen Amelia, I was stuck in a business deal, and FYI I wasn't hooking up with any girl", Noah replied almost instantly. 


Lily was smiling, listening to her friend's banter. She just loved how being with those two could take away all her problems and all that's left is unending banter and laughter. 


She was lost in her thoughts when she heard Noah say, " Today is Lily's day, she is going to make her first appearance infront of the world". 


"And also going to make her first move against those who wronged her"  Amelia said. 


That's what made lily's heart feel a little bit uneasy and she sighed. 


Both of her friends knew how difficult it was to stand against those who had wronged her, even after achieving everything on her own, there was something unsettling with in her by the mere thought of facing them. 


Before lily could think anymore, she heard both of them say at the same time, " stop thinking!". 


Lily was used to them barging in  her office anytime, but today she was quite surprised as she hasn't thought of meeting those two in her office rather than at the award show. 


Lily saw Amelia standing near the couch, holding a tray with lavender tea and assorted sugar free cookies. 


She kept the tray and pulled lily in a bear hug and said, "How could we leave you alone on such an important day?" 


Then she turned and looked at Noah and said, " what? You don't wanna hug?" 


And then two most important people of her life enveloped her in a warm bear hug that filled her cold heart with warmth.
