"Okay", was the reply Lily gave, and that's when Amelia screamed and hugged both of them. It wasn't a small thing for all of them. They have tried a lot to get her to be the past version of herself but to no avail.
Lily never wanted to be like her past self. It's as if she hated the mere existence of her past self. She never wanted to become that timid and innocent girl anymore. She doesn't want to be taken advantage of, anymore.
But she knew it, more than anyone else that she can't always fill her heart and life with hatred and revenge. Because no matter what that hate will weigh her down one day or the other.
But it's too early for her to be happy while all those who wronged her were not yet punished. She can't be truly happy till she gets over with her revenge. She had to!
She had worked for five years to reach here, and today was just the first day of her plan, which was a success, so how she could be in a haste to leave everything behind and start afresh. She can't and moreover she won't. She won't till she finishes what she has started.
She knew from where her mother was coming and she knew her mother wasn't wrong. Her mother just wanted her daughter back, while she wanted everything that has been snatched from them, back! And she will take that slowly and steadily. Till then, she can't be the same Lily she was six years ago.
But she can't reject her mother. If her mother wanted her daughter back, she will give her that. She will become the same old lily for all those people who sat in the room. She will give them back what they want! But for others she will still be the same invincible Lily Jones whom everyone fears.
Being happy! That was a dream she left six years ago. She doesn't dream of any such thing now, but if her smiles means happiness for her mother, she will smile more. She will do anything her mother asks, but she can't open her heart anymore. She doesn't feel anything anymore.
Suddenly, due to Amelia's shriek, Lily came out of her stupor and looked at her mother and smiled.
"If that's what makes you happy, I will do that. I will do anything you'll ask"
Flora knew her daughter too well. She knew she will just try to be happy infront of her. But again, even if it was a small start, at least it was better than her denial. Hence she smile and wrapped lily in a hug.
"Thank you so much my child."
At this time Noah suddenly got up from couch and went up to the kitchen and came back with four mugs. "Okay, it's been way too much emotional for me and I can't take it anymore. So here, take your hot chocolates and get ready for a movie night!"
"What?" the three voices sounded in unison.
"Well, you guys carry on with the movie. I've got an early class to teach tomorrow morning, so I'll be leaving. Thanks for the hot chocolate my dear!" Flora took her mug and went towards her room and said, "Don't stay up too late!"
"Yes mom" Lily replied and went to select some movies. She knew Noah was just trying to distract everyone and she needed one for sure.
While in Maple Regency it was a movie night for the three friends, it was a nightmare for some in the other part of the city.
In Grand Waves Villa, in a private villa, the mood was melancholic. In the living room, everything was scattered and broken. Sophia was sitting on the couch was a broken vase in her hands and her eyes were red in anger. Adam was sitting dazed on other couch with complex emotions in his eyes.
"How can it be her? How can it be her Adam, how can she be alive?"
