Excerpt :-
"Let me shield you from the rain, even if I couldn't, then let me soak in the rain with you",we're the words Brian told Lily on that night while shielding her from the rain.

 'I don't want anything more than that, more than you!' were the words that stuck in his throat but he couldn't voice them out. 

Lily looked up, and said, "You want to save me? From rain?" and laughed sarcastically "People who are already drenched, can't be saved. So don't waste your time".
And she left.

Brian slowly looked at the petite figure walking in the rain and sighed. He left his umbrella on a bench and walked behind her. He was going to stay true to his words, even if he couldn't save her, he'd drench with her.



Synopsis - 

Unlike others, her fight was not with others but with her own.
 Her own family whom she loved and cherished pushed her into the dark abyss with no return. 

Lily Jones, was the epitome of an elegant lady with a pure heart, but something changed her forever. Once a sweet little carring girl was now a stone cold hearted woman with now warmth in her heart. Or is it a facade just to shield herself from the vicious world. 

But even this cold hearted woman had a die hard admirer, Brian Green. The youngest and most respected cardiac surgeon in Country A. 
Will he be able to thaw the cold heart of lily? Or will he be left with a burn for the rest of his life?

Is a love story really possible amongst the two people with opposite personalities, a famous doctor and a fierce businesswoman?
What will the fate bring to the lives of one who doesn't believe in love or affection, who only believes that every thing had a price while the other who is the epitome of happiness, who's life depends on love.
 
Will both of them fall in love? 

Or 

Fate will play a cruel joke on both of them?

Her Bane or Destiny ?

It was a busy morning in Comida Corps. and Lily was busy with loads of work. Specially after getting the award and revealing her identity, many more people wanted to wok with her, some with business ambitions, while some with personal agendas.


Lily wasn't a fool, and she knew it, so she was busy carefully checking the benefitting deals for Comida Corps. as she didn't want to get entangled in troublesome mess. While doing that she didn't even realise that it was almost lunch time, and that's when the door to her office was opened without a knock!


"Amelia! For once can you not give me a mini heart attack everytime you enter my office, please!", Lily said, without even lifting her head.


"Oh come on! It's my second office darling! I don't need to knock! Or do I?" Amelia replied in her all so dramatic way.


"Of course not!" Lily said with a smile.


"Now stop whatever you are doing, and let's go.. Otherwise we are gonna be late for our lunch at Green's mansion". Amelia said.


"Oh shit! I totally forgot! Thanks Amie, otherwise I don't know how to face Grandpa"


As Lily started wrapping up her work, she took out her phone, "I have already called Aunt and she is on her way to Grandpa's home, while that idiot is still busy in meeting. She is definitely gonna get a beating this time!" Amelia replied before lily could unlock her phone.


"Someone seems worried about 'that idiot'". Lily replied a bit too mischievously and winked at her friend, who was at a loss of words.


"What? Who's worried about him? I'll enjoy the show of him being thrashed by Grandpa, with popcorn!" Amelia said defensively.


"Liar", said lily and took her bag and ran out of her own office without Amelia could fathom her word.


As both were passing by Sarah's Office, Amelia said, " Hey Sarah,  let's have a girls night out this weekend! And I ain't taking a no from both of you!" 


Sarah was shocked by the sudden voice, but she smiled as she was used to Amelia being like that. 


" Sure! It's been so long since we caught up! Plus now we do have a reason to party! " and suddenly a glint passed through Sarah's eyes. 


" Lily,  your present is at the reception. I've made sure to wrap it my style. I'm sure you'll like it", Sarah winked after saying it. 


Both the other ladies got what she meant, as her smug expressions were too obvious to be ignored. Lily gave her a nod and said, "Take the day off Sarah, go and meet Ryan, there's a surprise!" 


Before Sarah could say anything, Lily and Amelia went towards the staff elevator used to reach her office. As that was the only way, they could see the special present! 


As soon as the elevator's door opened, Amelia held her friend, being afraid the coming events might bother her, but Lily looked at her and said, "I'm okay Amie, I am no longer that Lily"


If not for their position of a President and a Lawyer, people would have thought that two school girls were strolling by the way they were talking and holding on to each other. 


But Lily knew it was Amelia's way of ensuring her safety. 


Just when they were about to pass the resting lounge towards their car, they heard a commotion and lily's lips curved into a beautiful cunning smile, which is too enticing to look but too dangerous to ignore. 


And as expected, she was him, clad in his business suit, and as soon as he saw her, his lips turned up in a smug smile, as he thought, " Tch tch, little bunny is till the same". 


But to his surprise, Lily didn't even glance in his direction, and walked out of her company but not without reprimanding the staff, " I don't pay people for gossiping, and I don't my reception area crowded with unwanted people, get all those out".
