Jung Mingyu

Here he was. Yejoon was forced by his own will to get in the car and be taken to school. Although he might have exaggerated a little bit with the feeling of school he still did not want to spend six hours going over what he was already learned before.

It turns out this body was quite the specimen as girls his age and older giggled and blushed to themselves as he walked by. He furrowed his eyebrows as he heard a body slamming towards one of the lockers and a roaring of laughter. He directed his gaze and what he saw thoroughly disgusted him.

From what he saw was five boys pushing around a girl. They took her backpack and emptied it from its contents. A crowd formed yet none of them did anything to help the poor person. Yejoon completely forgot about his resentment towards school and directed himself to the crowd.

"What are you doing?" His deep commanding voice alerted the people in the surroundings.

"Having fun with this little sissy" They laughed to themselves not yet registering who they were talking to.

As a man mentally over 20 years of age he barely contained his fury. Out of nowhere, he suddenly began having irrational feelings of resenting against human beings. His fury tripled as he remembered how he died his past life. He did not know why he reached this level of fury, he felt as if something else was directly affecting his emotions.

[*DING*]

[Host, the not yet mature soul you mixed with has directly influenced you to a great level. You might expect some small childish outbursts of anger in the future. I ask that you please calm down right now.]

The message reached deaf ears. (The system is in his mind but I'm just using the saying here).

'Humans..' his seething anger had reached a fierce level.

He remembered the way he was hit brutally with the liquor bottle. He remembered how he had been betrayed his past life by his best friends for money. That betrayal was one of the reasons he turned to dance and singing as they both made him completely forget how terrible the world could be to some people. Finally, he remembered the reason he did not dare pursue relations was because of trauma from a very young age involving his feelings being thrashed by the girl he liked. His self-confidence that day had dropped to unbelievable levels and all of this combined was his reason for apathy to many things.

'People in this world are trash.' he thought with abhorrence.

[Host, please cool down.]

He felt a washing feeling go through his entire body. The feeling of such anger really isn't comfortable. Remember everyone; for every minute you are angry you lose sixty seconds of happiness.

'I apologize'

[Host is forgiven.]

His bottling fury abruptly turned into a silent coldness that aroused feelings of caution from the people in the surroundings.

"Hey man, we'll stop." The bullies moved away and the crowd dissipated. The bullies were also quite fearful of him as they saw how Yejoon had been ganged up the day of his transfer because of jealousy from other boys. Those kids had later come to school the next day with bruises, courtesy of their own parents as the school's parents association had informed them of the special new student.

The girl turned to him. She had very short black hair that complemented her white skin. She had cherry lips and a straight nose. She looked at him and thanked him.

His mind went into berserk as he looked at the girl.

"Thanks, dude"

It was not the beauty she had.

It was her– no, his voice and manner of speaking.

"Hey bro, you there?" he waved his hand in front of Yejoon's face.

The fierce aura Yejoon radiated had all but dissipated in front of this 'dude'

He shakily pointed a finger at him with comically wide eyes.

"Y-you're a guy..?"

"Yeah man, I know I look like a girl but I'm quite the man"

Yejoon's mind collapsed.

--------------------

"My name's Jung Mingyu. I just turned 13 and I like to sing and dance. I just transferred to this school. Pleased to meet you." Mingyu introduced himself in a Korean reminiscent way.

"Park Yejoon, 13 and 14 in some months. I also like to sing and dance. Pleased to meet you." I responded still shellshocked by his gender and contradicting appearance.

"Oh great, we're both Korean. Being in this place without another comrade is scary. You can speak Korean right?"

I merely nodded and we walked towards the same room. I looked at him weirdly as he was going the same direction as I was and the words 'transfer' and 'school' finally registered in my brain.

I slightly arched my eyebrows in surprise and realization.

It turned out we were together in all of the classes. I had to hear his introduction to the other students a couple of times.

School passed quite quickly and we had grown pretty familiar with each other. We constantly switched between English and Korean which confused some people eavesdropping in our conversations. As I was older by a few months Mingyu called me hyung which stroked my pride.

"Hyung, you said you also sing and dance?"

"Huh, how do you know?" As at that time I was going over the meaning of life I did not fully register what he said nor what I said.

"You told me that."

"Wait, so you also like to sing and dance?"

Mingyu nodded in affirmation.

'He has a great appearance and also dances and sings. Even if he was trash at it, which I doubt, those two things can just be trained and practiced. I want him in my group' I thought with excitement.

As if a fire had been ignited, I grabbed Mingyu's hands and asked him,

"What dance and singing academy are you going to? Do you want to be an idol?"

I shot my questions at him.

"I am planning on going to XXX and yes I want to be an idol" He responded with equal excitement.

I raised my eyebrows. That was a pretty expensive one to be enrolled in. The trainers there were strict and the place often frequented competitions to entertain the public.

I realized I did not know his family's situation. As I was about to ask him an extravagant looking Range Rover appeared and made itself known by honking.

"Sorry hyung, I have to go, my mom's here. What's your phone number?"

I realized I did not have a phone yet and told him so.

He didn't believe that I don't have a phone and he left looking pretty unsatisfied.

My mother arrived not too long later in the same car she used to drive me here. It was a black Mini Cooper Countryman.

I got back home and conversed with my parents a little. They also mentioned they wanted to enroll me to the XXX dance and singing academy. I was lightly thrilled that I would go to the same as Mingyu's. We could even receive attention from scouts from winning competitions together. I could not wait to reveal to the world what we could do.

I did some stretches and began to do some easy dance moves to prevent my body from forgetting the muscle memory. I danced for a little more time and moved on to my daily routine of pushups, crunches, squats, and jumping jacks. As I just practiced dancing lightly and did not do anything too effective I did not gain any points for the skill which is reasonable. As I was close to finishing my last set of jumping jacks I heard a,

[*DING*]

[Congratulations Host! Through the repeated tearing and healing of muscles you have gained a point of strength!]

[+1 Strength]

I guessed that since my endurance was higher than my strength, it would take more to gain a point in the attribute.

I summoned my status.
